It was just about to turn to the night time in New Zealand and Riley was sat in the living room at the table doing his work. Grading papers and looking at the shop sales. He was certainly busy. Busy being the reason why he did not realise just what night tonight was. His jobs had gotten the best of him over the last few weeks and he had forgotten all about the full moon tonight and it wasn't until he read a homework about werewolves that he was suddenly gasping at the time. He looked out of the window and panicked, it was getting dark which meant the moon would be out very soon. he didn't really have time to get anywhere and the closest forest was the one just outside his house. But that would mean he was close to home when he turned and he didn't like the idea of that but what choice did he have besides he took regular wolfsbane so at least he would be able to think for himself so they should be safe.

Riley darted for the door, not telling anything to Adele as he did not really have time to explain it to her. He quickly ran out of the house and round the back, following the trail in to the forest. because it was turning night time no one really went in to the forest, it was a quiet neighbourhood he loved in so he should not be seen by anyone. Pulling his shirt off and his trousers, he didn't want to waste any more of his clothes. He wasn't wasting the money. He could feel the moonlight on his skin and he felt a sudden pain shoot through his body. He let out a howl of agony. The main thing he hated about this condition was the pain it brought.

How ever painful the turn was it did not take every long before he was a werewolf. The grey muscular beast, which would most likely look very scary to many people not expecting to see him, panted heavily. He was still in a lot of pain which he would mostly be in for the next few days once this over. Fist thing was first though was to get off the trail and deeper in to the forest before he was seen by someone

Adele Smith was upstairs rocking Lowan to sleep in a seat next to his cot. They had recently moved him into his own room, so it took a little longer for him to settle down these days. As Adele began to sing a lullaby to Lowan, the little being began to drift off into a deep-sleep. Adele rose to her feet before gently placing Lowan in his cot. "Night sweetheart...Remember...Mummy loves you lots." She whispered softly, before gently kissing his forehead and placing him down.

It was then that Adele heard the door close shut. "Riley???" She called from upstairs. "Was that you?" She wondered what was going on as she failed to get an answer from her boy. Riley hadn't mentioned anything about going out, and if he had changed his mind he certainly hadn't told her anything. Adele danced her way downstairs, wondering what was going on as she opened the door. She saw a shadow rushing off into the distance. No shirt, no trousers, and about as tall as Riley. That was when it hit her. It was a full-moon. It was the were-wolfs night. Adele slapped herself across the face twice, angry with herself that she hadn't remembered to tell Riley earlier. Leaving the door a jar open, Adele silently followed the mysterious figure out towards the forest, assuming that it was Riley. She was safe leaving the door open around here, it was a fairly secure area, and only the occasional harmless muggle would hang around at this time at night. Most of the Wizards would either be well away for the housing area, or tucked-up comfortably in bed by now.

The sound of the wind in the tree's was the only sound which Riley could hear, soothing as it was it was not really doing much for him right now, for many obvious reason's. Number one being he was a werewolf in a neighbourhood forest and also because he could have sworn that he had just heard Adele's voice near by. Drat, i should have known she would have followed me. He thought to himself before once again panicking. He didn't want her to see him like this but he didn't want to get off and leave her in here alone, after all it was dark and Mark was out somewhere and Logan had opted for the early night which made her the only person in the house to make sure Lowan was not ok. He let out a sigh which sounded more like a weezing huff from his chest. He would just have to hope for the best when she saw him, and what he really was no. maybe it would show her what he had been worried about since he had been bitten. Merlin knows its about time she wizened up to the bigger picture about him. He was sick of being the only one worrying about himself now.

Adele began to shiver as she headed out towards the forest. It was quite cold for a Spring night, and Adele just hoped for dear life that she wouldn't have to be out here for too long. She'd freeze to death. Adele could hear the wind blowing against the massive forest trees as she followed this dark figure into the night. "RILEY!!!???!!!" She called loudly, as she quickened her pace to try and catch-up with him. Adele worried, she worried about Riley, about Lowan...and last of all...about herself. Adele had always put her family before herself. Riley had changed her in that way, before their relationship started, she wanted nothing but her own way, but now Adele was only concerned with other people's lives and well-being, her own health and life came last 24/7.

As Riley stood still under the shadows of the trees which were being cast by the moon he heard a twig snap under his paw. This made him jump slightly. It was almost too quiet here, despite the loud foot steps which Adele was making as she tried to find him. When the would heard his name being called, naturally, he walked up to see her. It was about time she saw what he was and about time she opened her eyes to just what he had been telling her a few months ago. He trotted up to his wife and stopped a few metres short of her. He didn't want to get too close to her unless she freaked out and ran off, or unless she pulled out her wand and tried to hurt him. The silence fell as he stood still, staring at her with his dark eyes. The beast within him finally being shown to her

It took a while for Adele to get any sort of response from Riley. But the response that she did get wasn't the response that she had wanted. As the wolf, that she guessed was Riley, trotted towards her, Adele feared for her life. She knew that Riley had some sense of control as a wolf, but she didn't know how much. "Oh My Gosh...Riley!!!" She said in a state of shock, before turning away and running inside, she didn't want Riley to see the streams of tears falling from her eyes. Adele shut the door behind her, but she didn't lock it. She immediately went upstairs to Lowan's room, sitting in the seat next to his cot and watching him sleep peacefully whilst she cried her eyes out, hoping the young family would be alright after the couples terrifying experience.

As Riley had expected when Adele saw him her terrified voice cut through the air, like a knife through soft butter. The werewolf knew better than to follow her, for many reasons. Muggles would see him, he would scare her more, he could hurt someone. He knew that he would just have to face the music when the night was over, when he would be in agony after the transformation. The wolf let out a huff of air as he sighed, tonight was going to be painful and one heck of an emotional roller coaster more so than usual when he turned back to his normal 'human' state. He was always emotion after the phase, he put it down to the trauma and the pain which ripped through his body like lightening bolts. He looked up at the moon, letting out a howl before running off deeper in to the forest to wait for the night to finish so he could go home and sort this mess out.

The following morning

The sun was up and the moon was gone once more and once again Riley limped painfully through the forest to go and get his clothes. It was only about a half hour walk before he was putting his clothes back on and he could see the road through the break in the tree's. After the Professor was fully dressed he began his painful limp to his house where he would most likely find a very sleep deprived Adele in shock about to explode at him for reason which he had again already brought up with her and she had once again not realised the seriousness of them. He sighed and took a deep breath before opening the house door and walking inside. The first place he went to was the kitchen, to drink the ready made potion which would numb the pain and make him feel a little less sh!tty for him.

Adele had awoken, slumped in the chair, fully-clothed, in Lowan's room. She could feel the strain on her eyes from where she had cried so much last night, and she rubbed them to try and encourage them to open a little more. She gazed over at Lowan, he was still fast-asleep in his bed. She hadn't heard Riley come home last night, but she could hear foot-steps coming from down-stairs, so she guessed that he was home now.

Adele wasn't mad at Riley, he had warned her before Christmas about the whole werewolf thing and she hadn't realised just how much danger was involved in the whole experience. She had no-one to blame but herself. Adele convinced herself of this as she headed downstairs. As she looked around the living-room, she figured that he wasn't in there, he hadn't been upstairs anywhere, so Adele headed for the kitchen. Spotting him, Adele stood in the door-way in silence for a couple of seconds before slowly taking three steps towards him and hugging him from the side. "Morning....." Adele began, pausing for a couple of seconds before continuing. "I Love You...you know that...don't you?" She said, re-assuring him that she wasn't about to explode at him, she would talk about all the details a bit later. Later being when Adele had woken-up, and Riley had had the chance to get over the physical and emotional pain if last night's events.

riley felt the effects of the potion begin its work as the pain quickly numbed down and he could breath without wincing once again. it was times like now which made him glad he had paid attention in potions. otherwise the day after would be so much more painful and intolerable. looking up to the ceiling as he heard movement upstairs riley guessed it was adele walking around, seeing as you could never hear lowan walking upstairs and the teenagers were at school. he couldn't help but sigh as he let his mind wander to the sorts of things adele may say about what she had seen last night. surely she would not shout at him, after all it was not something he was in control over he couldn't just say no every full moon and not phase, although that did sound cool. it was who he was now and he had even pre warned her about him ages ago so he had tried to tell her, if she did not like what he was then there was only one way around it and riley was not a fan of that idea. he had been there and done that and even got the scars on his heart to prove it.

when adele appeared in the door way of the kitchen riley managed a half smile, still not in a frame of mind to give a full smile. it would be at least an hour before he was able to get back in to the daily routine which would be getting a shower to start off with then breakfast, it would be a case of see where the day went from there. he would be back in the castle tomorrow as that was when his next lesson was. when he felt adeles arms around him and her words in his ear he couldn't help but feel sorry for her. memories of her fearful scream came flooding in to his head. it was not a nice feeling when the woman you love scream in fear and runs for her life to protect your child in fear of you. it was like a kick in the gut for him. "i know you do. and i love you too. your the best thing that has ever happened to me." he said quietly as he placed a soft kiss on the base of her head as he wrapped his own bid strong arms around her body in a hug. because of their little time together which his many job left them together he never took their together time for granted and was grateful to be close to her like this. even if it was under these certain circumstances. "how are you now?" he asked concerned about how she was holding up after last night but not only after then but also since they last saw each other. he knew it must be tough for her raising lowan alone most of the time and he hated that he could not be here all day every day but he had to bring money in so that he could have a stable future, that all of his family could have a comfy future while they were living with him. he knew that he would have to talk to mark soon about getting a job to start paying rent but for now he was letting the poor boy enjoy himself, he had been through so much over the past few years and riley wanted him to be free and happy for a bit longer before all of that.

Adele smiled as Riley kissed her head then hugged her. "And you're the best thing that's happened to me." She replied sweetly. She giggled nervously as Riley asked how she was, he was always thinking of her and Lowan before himself. "I'm just fine...a little shaken-up...but I'll be absolutely fine once I've got some breakfast down me." He told him truthfully as she clinged onto him, snuggling into his arm, and resting her head on his strong humerus bone. ( :p ) "But what about you Mister Wolf?" She asked cheekily, poking him once with a mischievous smile.

Love was a funny thing. There was such a fine line between love and hate that some people could never tell the difference for a long time. Although the love between this couple was so obvious it could not be anything but pure love and admiration. It was a nice feeling to be loved and Riley for one could not get enough of it, to be loved by the one he had given his heart too. He gave her a smile. "Im glad your ok, il make some breakfast in a sec just give me five minutes for this potion to work its full magic." He said finishing the last bit in the vile, it didn't taste nice but he didn't care, it helped soothe the pain and that was what he needed it for. "Im pretty standard after the night i had." He answered as he sat down on the chair by the table. "Sorry i scared you, it was not intended." He assured her. He would never had stuck around the house for so long if he had known it was a full moon night but it had slipped his mind and he had been forced to go to the woods out back

Adele always found it funny how her and Riley had managed to stay together for solong. Yeah they had experienced a 'minor' break, that was more 'major' than 'minor,' but the past had been long forgotten, but even the present was troublesome. But somehow the young-couple had managed to get through everything together. Adele wasn't quite sure how they had managed it, but they had and now they were both very happy together. "Okay baby.....thanks.....I'll come help you." Adele stated, she wanted to spend the whole day with her family today, only Riley and Lowan. After the events of last night, she wanted some family time, just to love and to be loved, she was pretty sure that love was indeed the best healer. "It's alright.....don't apologize.....fear is good for the heart." She said with a little childish giggle added onto the end.

"Okay then. I was going to do a fry up if you were in the mood for that sort of breakfast." He said wondering if she wanted a cooked breakfast or cereal. Riley wasn't really in the mood for anything but he would eat what ever she was going to be eating. Her comment about fear being good for the heart stumped him. How could fear really be good for the heart. If guy put a gun to his wifes head and scared her surely that would not be good for her heart, or his by the end of the divorcing. "If you say so love." He said half limping out of the room as he headed to the couch and sat down, letting his body rest for a few moments until the pain was all gone once again. He would need all of his energy today as he was home to play dad.

It was early morning and the light was shining through the gap between the curtains. The young baby slowly woke up to the usual empty and quiet room. Having just woken up Lowan slowly came to grips with the real world again. Smiles crossing his face and he spoke to himself. Most not real words but being two year of age he did know some words, which were spotting out as he spoke. He was very happy with his own company and as he stood up and held on to the bars of his crib he began to bounce up and down, laughing as he did so. He continued to entertain himself for ten minutes before he decided he wanted his breakfast now. He began to cry loudly to get his parent attention so they would come and feed him, being too young to understand the situation they were in right now and how they needed their alone time Lowan still cried obvious to it all. He just wanted breakfast.

Had to be done. First proper post ;)

"A fry-up sounds good to me baby." Adele told Riley as she watched him walk out of the kitchen. She felt kind of sorry for him as he limped. This whole were-wolf thing must've been painful for him. Adele took a few seconds before following Riley out of the kitchen, she walked behind the back of the sofa then leaned over Riley's shoulder, placing her hand on his chest then planted a kiss on his cheek. "You're Gorgeous." She said cheekily to him with a childish giggle before hearing Lowan crying from upstairs. "Oh...The Boys Awake." Adele patted RIley's chest twice, then decided that she should let him rest for a bit. "You stay here, I'll deal with him." She told him kindly before rushing upstairs to Lowan.

"What's all that racket about baby-boy?..." Adele asked Lowan in her best baby-voice that she had now perfected after the past 2 years. She then picked him up and headed down-stairs with him. Adele placed Lowan in his baby-bouncer that he had gotten for Christmas before heading to the kitchen to make him some baby-breakfast. She wondered what Riley had planned for the day, she wasn't all that bothered. Whether they sat and cuddled all day, or whether they went out as a family, Adele would be happy just to spend some quality time with her two gorgeous boys that went by the names of Riley and Lowan.

At least breakfast was not sorted out, that made that little task slightly easier for him to undertake now, a fry up would take the best part of ten minutes nothing too tedious and time consuming. He almost replied saying, if you say so, when she said he was gorgeous but he soon stopped himself knowing that he did not want to go down that road again. Since leaving his shop in the hands of one of the adult assistants more often he had felt the stress lift from his shoulders a little more and was able to relax more often Riley was still not overly keen on himself like he used to be but he was getting more and more cocky as time went on and it would not be long until he was back to his old ways, minus the cheating mind. "Not as much as you though." He said giving her a backwards hug. It was not only a few moment later when he heard the familiar cries of his son. Automatically Riley got to his feet to sort him out but Adele had beaten him to it so he seated himself back down once again. Lowan was probably hungry, or needed a nappy change, seeing as it was early morning. If it was his nappy then he would more than happily let Adele sort him out. Riley had still not got used to that task and doubted he ever would.

A smile made its way on to the man's face as he watched his son get set down beside him. Riley picked him up in his strong arms and stood him on his legs as the boy smiled back at his dad. It was such a good feeling being a dad and seeing your child grow, a feeling which he was glad to have now. He had been ready to be a dad at the young age of seventeen when Ana had told him for the first time that she was pregnant. He had waited long enough to meet Adele and have a child with her. Now he would not change it for the world. "Morning little man." He said blowing a raspberry on the little boys cheek as they waited for Adele to rejoin the in the room.

Adele quickly made Lowan some breakfast then brought it into him. She laughed as Riley blew him a raspberry and was careful not to drop the boys breakfast as she headed over towards them. "There you go Lowan my boy." She handed him the small baby-sized bowl and hoped Lowan would be able to feed himself, it was a new thing that she had wanted to try now he was a bit older. Adele then gave Riley a peck on the cheek before taking her seat the other side of Lowan.

Sorry it's kinda rubbish. :p

It always seemed too long when ever he did not see his on. Riley was not home as often as he would like but it was a situation which would always have the down sides, quit and then there would be no money coming in or stay and be at work more times than not. He knew that Adele wanted him home more but he needed to provide for his family and that was that. He would just treasure the time he did have with hi family more and make sure to spoil them all as much as he could. As the infant ate his food Riley looked up at his wife and smiled. "I think he will be more like you when he grows up." He said knowing it came from out of the blue but it had been what was going through his head at the tie and it was most likely going o be true, Adele was the one he was with everyday so it would be logical for him to act more like her than anyone else

Adele watched Lowan eat his breakfast and admired him as she felt proud of her boy, who seemed all grown-up now, despite still being so young. She was so entranced by Lowan his cuteness, that Adele only just caught what Riley had been saying. It was a random comment, but possibly true seeing as Adele was doing the majority of bringing-up for Lowan. But she was well aware that Riley was doing his load of the work by bringing the money in. Ideally, Adele would have Riley home all the time, but him being away at the Castle only meant that their time together as a family was made to be even more special. "Ah you might be right.....but he's got his Daddy's gorgeous looks." She told Riley in a baby-accent as she looked adoringly at Lowan.

Adele watched as Lowan finished his breakfast all by himself. "YAAAY, good-boy Lowan." She congratulated her toddler-aged son as he ate his breakfast alone for the very first time. Adele then retrieved the empty-bowl and spoon from Lowan then took it into the kitchen, she would save all of the washing-up for later. After putting everything into the sink, Adele joined Riley and Lowan back in the living-room. She picked Lowan up and put him in his baby-walker and checking that he was happy before walking back over to join Riley again. She climbed onto Riley, knowing that Lowan would be entertained for at least 5 Minutes before he turned to Mummy and Daddy for attention again. Kneeling over him on the soft-sofa, either side of his legs, Adele placed her hands on either side of Riley's neck then kissed him lovingly on the lips. "I Love You." She whispered into his ear before kissing him again.

Smiling at Adele as she watched their son Riley admired her, the change in lifestyle which she had adapted to so well. He could not have asked for a better wife. He turned his attention back to Lowan as he finished his breakfast, Adele found this a bigger event than he did but he guessed it was a mothers thing. "He is Veela, that is about all he has gotten from me so far." He said looking at his sons already fine features and veela qualities. Riley planted a kiss on the top of his sons heads before sitting up strait again. His hair was beginning to get long, he would need to get it cut soon. When the next holidays came around he would cut it then. He had never liked long hair, it was always so much more effort to keep looking good.

As Adele keeled on him he could help but chuckled as he rested his hands on her waist. "I know." He said leaning up slightly and kissing her lightly on the lips as he wrapped his arms around her waist to hold her closely. "And i love you too." He said in return after he broke off the kiss. Moving his hands up her back and taking hold of her shoulders.

Adele hit Riley playfully on the side of the arm as he talked negatively about himself again. "Yes that.....but also he also gets your love, and he'll hopefully pick up your luck with the Ladies, and also your lovely charm." She told Riley, purposely phrasing her sentence in a way that would compliment both Lowan and Riley. She wished he would be his vain-self again, she would always love him no matter what, but she longed to have the old "full-of-himself" Riley back.

Adele smiled sweetly as Riley told her that he loved her too. She admired every kiss that she got from him, and loved being close to him like this, even if the young-married-couple didn't get the chance or time to be all that intimate all that often, she enjoyed every moment that she spent with Riley, no-matter what happened. "Well that's good seeing as we're married with a gorgeous son....." She told him cheekily with a loving, but excited smile as she gently tapped his nose once. "So.....what's the plan for the rest of the day my gorgeous, amazing, beautiful, charming, just practically perfect husband?" She questioned, purposely complimenting him again in hope that she would boost his ego again, and get the Riley back that she had met when he was still with Ana, but secretly seeing Adele on the quiet.
