There was a part of the slytherin that was beginning to regret what he'd said and how he had said it. It wasn't like any of the girls actually deserved the words he said to them. It wasn't like they deserved to be treated in such a fashion as he had treated them. In way that made it seem like he was ungrateful to have them as friends which was untrue. He cared for all 3 girls. They were the only people that Stefan had ever shown any amount of caring towards. He didn't have any caring feelings for anyone else. His father got his time and care but it didn't mean he actually cared for him. Sure without his father he would a pretty lost boy. He would have nothing else. Without his father literally all he knew was gone. His mind swum with questions, if his father died what would happen to him. Would he have to forget about all forms of magic. Would he be unwillingly banished to live as a muggle forever. Would magic pullstrings and allow him to just stay at home. He was however young and couldn't really care for himself. He wasn't old enough to earn money so he'd probably end up in a much more dire situation than he was already. But if his father was to be dead, he'd be at least able to talk to his friends about everything that happened to him. It was something he longed to do. But if he told them now and he was taken from his he was sure that his father would come after him. His father was all knowing. He would know. He would stop at nothing to get him back. All in all it would not be very good. It would not end up well. However there was he other hand. Where things were positive. If he was removed from his father and his father didn't go after him he could lead a normal life. Put it all behind him and ignore all of it ever happened. He would be able to claim that he knew nothing of it and it had nothing to do with him. Like this nightmare in which he lived was exactly that a nightmare. Something that would become nothing more than something dreamed about. Stefan knew that his life would make a pretty decent horror film. But that was just a figment of thought. It wasn't one he was willing to risk everything on. Like what mos others would do. As the flickering light of the great hall shone upon them, Stefan almost felt a warmth from this light. It gave his dark blue eyes an ocean with sunset look. His eyes that were filled with a bottled anger were moving between the two in front of him. He knew that this was the way. And while he was pleased, anger was still over powering. His legs still locked, he faced Kate as she spoke. Never give up. Oh, he'd make her. it was proving impossible to persuade his friends that he was living a slightly perfect life. That food and money were his only issues. "there is nothing else to tell. There are no more truths for you to dig out." Stefan yelled at her. He hated that all three just seemed to keep digging and digging at his life. It was his not there's. His tone as he yelled to Kate was one that almost said I can fix it he wasn't too keen on what they were all doing. He did feel like the three were working against him. Trying to force him to tell someone, so that he would really have no one. It was fine for them they all had other family members. He had no idea if he did or didn't have any. "you'll pay for it all? We don't need charity. So we have very little doesn't mean we don't have enough. Sure it's tight at times, but it's fine." as much as the other had sounded pretty amazing. There would be no way his father would get on board and if they did he hardly wanted them to see his father and him in action. It just wasn't right.
Each girl took a turn at going on about Stefan's dig with them about money. He didn't really care. He was just jealous. They had it all. And he was the polar opposite and while he could try by accepting the help, but it wouldn't be worth it in the end. He didn't care. He was just glad that Sara stopped the spell and he was able to walk again. A Large cough erupted from him. Harsh. He stood up and while clutching his stomach he made sure he was steady on his feet. Once sure he wouldn't fall Stefan walked away. Not back to the castle but rather to the grounds. The lake. He was angry and he needed to be completely alone and he couldn't yet go back to dorm room. Going back to the dorm room would require going past the great hall, and this conversation had not made him less scared of Halloween. He needed to be away. Far from all others. So he left in that direction, fighting the urge to break into a run and go as far as he could. Leaving everything that he knew and confronting the dark forest where darkness and dark things were and where Stefan felt like he might feel a little more at home.
