Open Yellow Red or Red Yellow?

Corey had to admit that he found it a little harder to find the firstie that was on his list. It wouldn't have been so hard really if he had known that it was a first year, or a Gryffindor. So it took a while to figure out where he should camp out, thank Merlin that he knew at least one person from every house. It had been Artemisa who told him that he could try waiting by the Transfiguration classroom. "Stanislaw Kurek?" he asked about every kid in Gryffindor robes that walked by after their Transfiguration class was over.​

How the school still continued their lessons even with an event such as rose givings going on, Stanislaw did not know, as even lessons were interrupted at times. After class, he made his way out of the classroom accompanied by his friends, talking about what they had just been taught in class. He looked up when someone called out his name, however. ''That is me,'' he said, raising his hand.

Corey breathed a sigh of relief when someone finally responded positively to his queries. "Amazing! Great to meet you and I have a rose for you!" he said rather excitedly as he walked towards the younger student, rummaging around his basket for the rose and note he had to give.

Stanislaw nodded in agreement, waiting patiently for the boy to give him his rose, and hopefully, note. All he could hope for was that it wouldn't be a pink or red rose, as that would only embarrass him with his friends around still.

Corey let out a shout of triumph when he finally managed to pull out the rose meant for this boy. It was yellow and Corey presented it with much flair as he bowed with a grin.​
