The next rose on Knox’s list was to a good friend of his he hadn’t talked to in a while. He smiled as he headed to the Ravenclaw table in an attempt to find Poppy. He couldn’t see her in the crowd at a first glace so decided to call her name out. “Hey! Poppy Perkins! You have a rose!” Knox called, picking up the yellow rose from the basket and waving it around.

@Poppy Perkins

Poppy had just taken a huge bit of her food when she heard someone calling her name. She had been so busy running around today and still had a lot of roses left to deliver. She had just ducked into the great hall for a quick bite before being interrupted. She looked up and was relieved to see it was someone familiar. Poppy waved over Knox but kept her other hand over her mouth as she chewed.

Knox smiled when he noticed Poppy waving, and walked over to her with the smile still on his face. “Hey!” He greeted, offering the yellow rose to Poppy. “This is for you.” He added, making sure the note was attached to the rose.

Poppy,
I appreciate your friendship a lot.

Iris

Poppy was glad to see Knox and happy they ran into each other today even if it was for a brief time. "Hey!" she said back. "Thank you!" she smiled and took the rose. She was a little confused and wary to see who it was from. She wasn't on great terms with most of her friends so a yellow rose was a bit of a surprise. She opened the note and smiled when she saw it was from Iris. With out even realizing she started to feel choked up and reached out to take a sip of her drink to hide her reaction. Poppy hadn't talked to Iris as much as she should have this year and rose made everything feel worse somehow. She looked back at Knox and smiled. "How are your deliveries going?" she asked, hoping her voice didn't seem too wobbly.

There seemed to be something a bit off about Poppy’s reaction to her rose as she read the note, but Knox wasn’t able to figure it out. Not that it was any of his businesses when his job was to deliver the roses rather than overthink the reactions of the people receiving them. He smiled and looked to his basket when Poppy asked how his deliveries were going. “They’re.. going.” He said simply, wanting to go into detail about how out of place and guilty he felt delivering roses and spreading cheer on valentine’s day, when he considered how his romantic life was fairing. “It’s kind of a reminder of what I don’t have, but I’m trying not to get cut up about it.” Knox then answered with a shrug, never feeling afraid to be honest with Poppy. She had been his first friend at Hogwarts and he did trust her, regardless of they fact they hadn’t spent as much time together recently.
