Light Zhefarovich was in mild shock that he was named Co-Captain, but he was not about to argue it at all. He just knew that he would be keeping the chaser position since he thought that he did okay with it. But he was not about to argue with Vincent over his choices, no matter how crazy they were. He had up flyers all around the school, both in French and English just in case. Once the students were there, he glanced at the co-captain and nodded. "Okay, so, here's the deal. Claire and I will be here to see who does and doesn't make it on the team. Chasers go try to score, keepers, protect the goals, beaters, protect players or hit others, and seekers, seek the snitch. That's all there is to it." Light liked how the weather was sunny, just for this time of day. They chose well, didn't they?

Kirby was feeling a mix of excitement and nerves as she arrived at the Quidditch pitch. She had been dreaming of this moment for years, and now, as a fifth-year, she finally had the chance to try out for the Seeker position on the Beauxbatons team. She spotted the flyers that had been put up around the school, both in French and English, ensuring everyone knew about the tryouts. As the students gathered, Kirby took a deep breath, appreciating the sunny weather that seemed to shine just for this moment. She knew she had to focus and show her best skills.

"Kirby Rosatta-Chevotet, Seeker." She introduced herself. Mounting her broom, Kirby scanned the pitch for any sign of the elusive snitch. She felt the rush of wind and the familiar thrill of flying as she took to the air, determined to prove she had what it took to be Beauxbatons' next Seeker. Once in the air, Kirby's mind cleared, and her focus sharpened. She remembered all the training sessions, all the times she had practiced her dives and sharp turns. She knew the competition would be tough, but she was ready to give it her all.

As she soared above the pitch, she kept her eyes peeled for any glint of gold. Her heart pounded in her chest, each beat echoing her determination. Other players were also giving their best, but Kirby was only focused on one thing: catching the Snitch. Minutes felt like hours as she flew, the wind whipping through her hair. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw it—a flicker of gold near the far end of the pitch. Without hesitation, Kirby leaned forward on her broom and shot toward it, her body streamlined for maximum speed.

The Snitch darted and weaved, trying to escape, but Kirby was relentless. She matched its movements with precision, her reflexes honed from years of practice. The distance between her and the Snitch closed rapidly. With a final burst of speed, Kirby reached out, her fingers brushing against the tiny, fluttering ball. She grasped it firmly, feeling its wings beat against her palm.

Kirby slowed her broom and held the Snitch up high, a triumphant smile spreading across her face. She had done it. She had proven her skill and determination. Now, all she could do was wait for the results, but deep down, she felt confident that she had given her best performance.

Bellamy could hardly believe that he was in his last and final year at school. And even more miraculous he had stuck out being on the quidditch team the whole time no matter how many times he considered quitting. He knew his mom would be proud even if he had no intention to go pro or anything. He was good enough and he could live with that. He arrived to tryouts and felt like he towered over the younger kids trying out. He barely listened to the new captains as they talked but snapped back to reality when everyone took to the air. He joined them before heading to the hoops and doing his best to block whatever came at him.

Claire couldn't believe she was in her final year of school. She had enjoyed it so far, especially the quidditch seasons she had in the past. She had hoped to make the most of it this year with the team. Claire stood with the new co-captain, listening and nodding along, agreeing with everything that he had said. It wasn't long before they were up in the air. She watched as the team practised as well as watching those who were trying out, looking to see who she thought was suitable for the team. She too joined the team, making sure to get some practice in, as well as trying to get some teamwork in there.

Tullia got to the pitch and listened to the brief words spoken before she got on to the broom and shot up into the air, ready to practice more quidditch.

Celestine was feeling wonderful! Quidditch was so much fun, and she liked the exercise of hitting bludgers around the pitch. She had to be careful to make sure she didn't get hit anywhere important, and also not to let her arms get too bulky, but her music teacher was happy that she was playing if only to increase her core and upper body strength. As long as she was careful with her face, neck and chest, it wouldn't hamper her singing. But Celestine was mostly there to have a good time. She beamed at the older students and said a warm bonjour to Tullia, since they'd be working together again, and took to the skies to get back into practice. She swung at bludgers, trying a little more to make sure they didn't hit the people trying out for seeker. She actually succeeded, mostly.

Enzo waited on the edge of the pitch while the captain laid out what it was he wanted everyone who was trying out to do once they got things underway. Enzo clung onto his broom as he waited for the speech to be over and for try outs to formally begin. Once it was his turn her stepped up to the captain, "Enzo Walden, trying out for chaser,"

He grabbed a quaffle and flew up into the air once things got underway. In total Enzo took five shots at goal, trying to beat one of the alternate keepers. The first shot easily went through the middle hoop when he faked them out and made them move leaving the hoop wide open. The next two were also scored quite easily, he missed his fourth shot which Enzo found particularly frustrating. He had gotten too cocky and the keeper easily predicted which hoop he was going to. He’d have to better next time, and he did, scoring his fifth and final shot though it was far from easy, he just about managed to squeeze the shot between the keepers fingers and the hoop. Four out of five shots wasn’t too bad. He returned to the ground and left the captain to his decision.

Nina's father had never really been happy with the whole magic thing. He'd accepted it, begrudgingly, but he wasn't exactly happy about it. However while he could accept that his wife and daughter were witches to a degree he'd never accepted flying as an acceptable past time. He ranted and raved that it made Nina far too wild and it was too dangerous and unladylike and all sorts of things. But Nina had stubbornly continued, and it had culminated in her father burning her broom over the break 'for her own good'.

As such, Nina still marched her way down to tryouts with a desire to defy in her heart, though the borrowed school broom felt wrong in her hand. And her legs didn't feel like they would move the way she wanted them to. And if she closed her eyes, she'd see the flames taking all the excitement in her life up in smoke. "Niniane Archambeau," she simply said in barely more than a whisper. "Seeker."

She was slower on this broom, and either it could sense her hesitation or it was more used to the weight of first years, but it just did not seem to want to work with her. Nor did her arms, for that matter, as even when she finally (after what felt like an eternity) reached the snitch, her vision blurred and her arms seemed to just fall helplessly short. She couldn't even dodge bludgers as well as she normally did, getting hit by a couple that she would've been perfectly capable of dodging in previous years. By the end of the session, even when she did finally catch the snitch once, she was tempted to just drop off her broom in mid air for how woeful her performance had been. All she could really do at the end of the tryout was choke out a rather strangled 'sorry' and walk off to clear her head, knowing that she hadn't even managed to defy her father in the way she wanted.
