Ilvermorny,Practice

For the first time in years, Ilvermorny had beaten Beauxbatons at their yearly match. That meant they would be up against Hogwarts New Zealand in a few months. Eli wasn't entirely sure how they had managed it, he assumed it had very little to do with Adam and him as captains because he was pretty sure Adam was terrible at being captain and he barely did anything. But here they were, and now they had to win. Eli had learned his lesson from the previous practice and decided to start it before Adam could start talking. "You all know what to do. Yoo, guard the north hoops." He said, knowing better than to tell Adam what to do, though he had done so indirectly. "Chasers, try passing. Seekers, you're in competition. Beaters, don't go easy on anyone. Hogwarts won't either." He said, before releasing the balls. "Let's go, practicing is a lot more useful than standing around blathering." He said, taking to the air.

OOCOut of Character:
No arrivals, just get started!

The moment the practice started, Abigail grabbed the quaffle and started flying to the hoops Yoo was going to be guarding.

AJ still couldn't quite believe they'd managed to get to the finals this year against Hogwarts NZ. It was exciting, though he also knew very little about the team they'd be up against. With any luck, Hope would get the snitch before they needed to worry about it, but AJ hoped he could keep her safer than he had in previous games. He kicked off after a quick word from Eli, readying his bat to try.

Eli flew up to the closest bludger and hit it, watching as it sailed over to AJ. He hoped the other beater could defend himself, but wasn't sure if he could from this angle.

Micha could not be more excited for the game against New Zealand. He hadn't really had anything to do with their win but he was thrilled all the same. He was also a little relieved that Eli was the one to give them their instructions this time, and while he didn't say Micha's name at he hadn't gotten it wrong either. Which was all the second year could ask for at this point. But he kicked off into the air to start his search for the snitch.

AJ was still getting his bearings when Eli knocked a bludger his way. He scrambled for his bat, trying to get the angle right to knock it away before it collided with his body, pleased when he managed a smooth hit, knocking it over towards @Micha Kovac instead.

Abigail flew up to the hoops and threw the quaffle at the middle hoop, smiling as it went through. She tossed back her hair smugly and flew off, feeling confident.

Eli was honestly a bit impressed that AJ had managed to hit the bludger away from himself, though he had hit the young alternate seeker in the process. Eli flew a bit closer to him, hoping to protect him from any other bludgers for a while.

AJ did feel a little guilty about hitting one of their younger players, but he was also pretty pleased with himself for fending off Eli as well. Spotting the other bludger, AJ shot forward, trying to knock it towards Eli this time. The angle was weird this time, and the bludger spun off course, knocking into another younger player, @Abigail Martin, instead.

Micha flew around the pitch, so focused on finding the snitch he didn't see the bludger until it hit him right in the ribs. He let out a strangled cry and tightened his grip on his broom as he tried to take in a painful deep breath. He had to take a moment for the pain to fade slightly before he slowly started up his search again but not before shooting AJ a pitiful look.

Hyun was surprised they had actually managed to beat Beauxbatons. But that meant they now had a game against Hogwarts to look forward to. Not wasting any time, Hyun kicked off into the air, watching as the youngest chaser too the quaffle and made a quick shot. But he was there for the rebound as it was thrown back in, tucking the quaffle under his arm as he headed to the other hoops.

Micha idly rubbed his side and he kept up his search for the snitch. He was hoping that maybe getting hit with a bludger was good luck or something.

Still feeling a bit bad for laying into their younger players so early, AJ moved up and over to Hope instead, matching Eli on defense for a bit as he kept his eyes peeled for bludgers.

Adam hovered in place in front of his hoops, more than a little annoyed that Eli had stolen his thunder. He kept an eye out for the quaffle, while dipping between the three goals.

Spotting a bludger heading their way, AJ let out a satisfied sound as he was able to knock it away. He'd been aiming for Eli or Micah again, but the bludger spun away, knocking into @Hyun Ong Hae instead.

Micha stopped and hovered in the middle of the pitch and wondered if he'd have better luck if stayed still, and out of the way of any bludgers.

Content the bludgers were clear for the time being, AJ stuck close to Hope.

Micha sighed and tried to imagine here he would hid if her were a snitch. But it wasn't really helping with no sign of it anywhere.

Drifting away from Hope, AJ shot forward as he saw a bludger, knocking it confidentially towards @Eli Carter

There was still no sign of the snitch and Micha sighed, wondering how Hope made it look so easy.

Despite having a few out of control hits, AJ was still feeling pretty confident today. Maybe they actually had a chance of winning the international competition this year. The idea warmed him enough that AJ didn't even feel too bad when he completely missed his next swing at a passing bludger.

The bludger hit had hurt a lot, but Abigail was trying her best to seem like it didn't bother her. She followed Hyun as he flew to the hoops.

Eli grunted as the bludger hit him and he shot a look at AJ, though he couldn't really get mad when he had done the same thing earlier. He kept on flying, staying near Micha.

Hyun pulled up to the hoops in front of Adam and was about to try and make a score, but a bludger smacked into him just as he was making his throw, sending the quaffle spiralling well off to the side.

Micha had been so focused on finding the snitch he didn't even notice when Eli started to get closer to him. He offered a little wave to the co-captain and actually did start to feel a little safer now.
