Y37 Ilvermorny Quidditch Practice S1

Raising his arm back to try and make another score, he was mid-throw when the bludger went crashing into his side, the breath leaving him for a moment as the quaffle fell completely short of the hoop as it left his hand with no power. "Ah, for f***s sake," the korean left his mouth before he could think about it, blinking as he only barely registered that Hope had finally caught the snitch. Instead, his hand went to his side, trying to rube the pain away, as if that was going to work.

Feeling more encouraged now that Hope had managed to catch the snitch, AJ decided to move over and try to guard Ragan for a bit, hoping he wasn't too sore after the previous bludger hits.

Hope was happy with catching the snitch once finally. She continued her flying and by total suprise she spotted the snitch again after some time when she released it. Hope flew fast and managed to catch it again! Perhaps it was an bad start, but catching it so fast again made her feel confident. She smiled bright. “ Got it again!!!” the brunette said happily.

"Way to go Hope!" Dominic called out. Glad to see their seeker was finally able to catch the snitch twice. He had never doubted her but he was glad it was likely to boost her confidence, just in time for their Beaubatons game. "You're doing great too!" he told to Hyun as he grabbed the quaffle as it was tossed back into the game. He hated to see anyone on the team get discouraged.

OOCOut of Character:

Seeing a bludger coming for Ragan, AJ shot forward, knocking it aside and watching grimly as it swung back towards them again. Unable to move in time, AJ wheezed as the bludger knocked into him instead. At least he'd protected the seeker, he thought glumly massaging the sore spot on his chest.

Dominic decided to try his luck and throw the quaffle towards the hoops. To his surprise it went through and cheered.

Zeke hummed, flying around and looking to see what he might be able to hit before practice was over. He figured he could try for one more hit before practice ended.

Lucas smiled widely, pleased that Dominic had made another shot. He grabbed the ball as it was thrown back in. He was really tired, but he wanted to try for one more shot before the practice ended.

AJ was getting tired, he'd hoped after Hope's second snitch catch maybe they could call practice, but it seemed Dominic wanted to keep going. He knew they needed to practice, but AJ was definitely out of shape after a long off season.

Dominic was feeling good at how practice had been going. He was a little concerned with how well the beaters were doing but practice was almost over. He smiled encouragingly to Lucas as he caught the quaffle and he followed close behind.

Still sticking with Ragan, AJ knocked a bludger away, managing to divert it but not much else.

Lucas should have known better, really, he was too tired and wobbly to really do anything. The ball fell comically short and he sighed, slumping over on his broom. He just wanted a hot shower and a nap.

Dominic gave Lucas a thumbs up, hoping he wouldn't let the miss get to him too badly. He grabbed the quaffle again and kept his eyes open to practice passing a few more times.

AJ gave Ragan a bit more space, keeping his eyes peeled for any nearby bludgers.

Dominic was feeling lucky now, and decided to try making a goal again. Adam must have been getting tired because he was able to make another goal.

AJ was still looking out for bludgers, quietly hoping they just left him alone until Dominic called practice.

Dominic took a moment to watch the rest of the team as he waited for one of the other chasers to grab the quaffle. He had plenty of hands on time, and was glad to let the others try now.

Dominic blew the whistle and waved his hands gesturing for everyone one to gather round. "Good job everyone!" he announced. "Let's wrap it up!" he said. "Everyone rest up, but don't forget that the Beauxbatons game is coming up quick! Let's show them how good we can be! Alright?" Dominic add, hoping his words of encouragement would be taken to heart. They had done well this practice and if they could play this well during the actual game they might have a real shot.

OOCOut of Character:
Practice is now closed! I just want to thank everyone for being so active in practice, I really appreciated it. And a reminder that the game is this week (Nov. 6th) so if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to message me! Thanks!

AJ was relieved when Dominic finally called practice, grateful to have his feet back on the ground. He actually felt like he hadn't done too terribly today, which had been a concern especially now that Eli was one of their starting beaters, but he was tired and sore and ready to call it a day.
