Y35 Duelling Match #21

[Katherine Alicastell]

It was the second wave of duels, and Katherine looked over the remaining competitors. For some, it would be the deciding duel of their year, while others still had another round to go before they could claim the title of Champion. The Headmistress allocated the newest pairs, and began to lead duelists to the platform. Taking up her own position overseeing them, she began, "Duelists, prepare yourselves. Bow and commence."

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours to post, or face disqualification. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!

As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Aonghas had managed to get through to the second round of duels, which. he'd been pretty happy with but, he knew if he got no further it wouldn't be a big deal. He bowed to his new opponent and. then when they were allowed to get started fire off a quick, "Stupefy,"

Tyler was almost disappointed he didn't get to face Blake. He would have liked to beat him and humiliate him, but this Hufflepuff would have to do. Tyler bowed at him, then quickly blocked his spell. Just because the kid was in Hufflepuff, didn't mean Tyler should underestimate him. He was fast. Tyler sent a spell back. "Stupefy!"

Tyler frowned at the boy's choice of spell, managing to block it. It was a statement, and if he wanted to play it that way, Tyler could too. "Confundo." he cast, hoping to humiliate the boy by making him look like an idiot.

Aonghas certainly didn't want to lose control of his mind again, and certainly not with that kind of spell, so he threw up a shield more forcefully and was quick to send back "Everte Statum" just as forcefully.

It felt like this duel was far more fast paced that his last, his spell had barely been blocked when he was dodging out the way of his opponents spell. He cast as quickly back, with a strong "Densaugeo,"

It frustrated Tyler that this boy was so good. He just wanted to win, to show that he was worth something. Everything had already gone wrong for him, so why couldn't he just have this? He had to jump out of the way of the boy's spell, then cast one back viciously. "Diffindo!"

The spell hit him more quickly than he would have expected, and suddenly his wand arm was cut with a small flow of blood, and it hurt. God that was painful. He looked back up at the boy and cast a weak stupefy, his arm hurt to move too much.
