Y35 Dueling Match #25

[Professor Kalif Styx]

Professor Styx leads the two contestants to the stage, appointing them into the north or south part of the stage. He reveals the rules as well as the point system. He walks off the stage and orders the duel to begin, as he keeps a watchful eye.

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours to post, or face disqualification. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Leda had never actually won a duel for her year before but today she intended to see it through to the end. She just had to beat one more Hufflepuff and victory would be hers. After bowing to Shane with a grin she pointed out her wand, “Stupefy!” Best give him a chance to begin with.

After winning the first duel he had been rather eager to do the next, thinking that it would be good to get to duel again, and of course this would be for the title, the only downside was that it was against the head girl which would be hard. He blocked her first first and he then cast back, "Diffindo,"

Leda had no intention of losing any of her duels this year, especially not after already defeating the head boy. She blocked Shane’s spell, keen to avoid a slicing this close to graduation, and sent back a tongue tying curse. Getting hurt wasn’t the goal here but she still needed to win.

Leda had to laugh when he dodged out the way, and even more so when he tried to remove her hair. “Come on now, the blonde isn’t that bad,” she joked, using protego to stop her being humiliated. She switched to another non verbal spell which had worked out well for her in the past, flames suddenly on route towards the Hufflepuffs robes.

Shane smirked a little at her comment, he blocked her spell pretty keen to not catch on fire, but let himself take a moment to flash a flirty expression, "The blonde is a good look," he retorted, "But I do miss the ginger," Shane followed this by casting an obscuro non-verbally back.
