Y34 Duelling Match #2

[Robert Kain]

Professor Kain was looking forward to seeing how the students got on with their duelling. As one of the Charms professors he took pride in seeing the spells in use, and watching some of his own students practise with one another. He welcomed the next two students to their positions, taking his own at the front of the room “Once you have bowed, you may begin,” he said, giving them the go ahead to begin their duel, and keeping an eye on the event from afar.

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours to post, or face disqualification. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Padme had never been in a duel, she had never been one to fight people, to do anything like that, but she was eager. The hufflepuff listened to the instructions given by the professor and bowed to her opponent. Once back in position she held up her wand and said, "Rictusempra,"

Aisa had been curious about the duels, and had signed up a bit as a last minute decision. She would consider signing up for the club if this was fun, though she wasn't entirely sure. One club was plenty for her too. She listened to the professor, then bowed to Padme before blocking her spell with a protego. She considered her for a moment. "Expelliarmus."

Padme didn't know who she was fighting well, only that the girl was in accio with her brother. She blocked her spell, fumbling a little as she hastened to cast it, but managing nonetheless. She didn't have that many spells to pick from, but shot back with a knee reversing hex.

Aisa watched the girl as she blocked her spell, then prepared herself to do the same. Shae managed to get up a shield charm to block Padme's spell in return, though she jumped away a bit too just in case. She then tried a different spell. "Stupefy."

Padme dodged out of the way of the spell as it came towards her, but she threw back quickly, sending a slug vomiting curse to the girl, it would be pretty gross if it hit but she was loving the duelling.

Aisa couldn't help a small smile forming on her face as she blocked the girl's next spell, something that was rare for her as she was usually fairly expressionless. It was just... fun. She'd had no idea what it would be like to duel, but she found that she was really enjoying it. The slug vomiting curse the girl had sent her way was definitely a bit more creative, but Aisa decided to stick with something simple for now. "Expelliarmus."

Padme was certainly finding the duelling exciting. It had a certain fun to it, she liked the way her magic felt. She blocked the other girl's spell and then sent back, "Tarantallegra,"

Padme was really enjoying the duelling, so much so that she was a little distracted by how much she was enjoying it that she didn't get her shield up in time. she tripped to the floor and barely kept a hold of her wand. She was now a little sore, but she was still smiling. Padme got back to her feet and shot back a quick, "Stupefy,"

Aisa felt some triumph when she saw she had hit the other girl with her spell. It didn't stop her from duelling, but it was a point in Aisa's favor. She blocked Padme's stunning spell before countering with one of her own. "Pertrificus totalus!"
