Y34 Duelling Match #18

[Katherine Alicastell]

It was the second wave of duels, and Katherine looked over the remaining competitors. For some, it would be the deciding duel of their year, while others still had another round to go before they could claim the title of Champion. The Headmistress allocated the newest pairs, and began to lead duelists to the platform. Taking up her own position overseeing them, she began, "Duelists, prepare yourselves. Bow and commence."

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours to post, or face disqualification. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Jasper had been pleased to progress in the duels, hopefully he could win again. He bowed to Aonghas, a boy he didn't really know that well, and then blocked his spell. It was as shame it wasn't Blake or Tyler he was duelling, though he'd greatly enjoyed seeing Blake lose so badly. That had been fun. "Expelliarmus!" He countered.

Aonghas was pleased to be quicker than Jasper at getting started but he was somewhat frustrated by the fact the spell hadn't hit and that the duel wasn't over. He blocked Jasper's spell and then was quick to send, "Tarantallegra," back

Jasper grinned at the Hufflepuff as he blocked his next spell too. Then he stuck out his tongue, for good measure. He didn't know Aonghas very well, but he wanted to win this duel. "Good try!" He called, then he sent a leek jinx Aonghas' way.

Aonghas blocked the spell which jasper sent to him, a little surprised by the compliment that Jasper had given him. Were they really supposed to talk during these? Aonghas just focused and sent back, "Furnunculus,"

The other boy stayed quiet, and Jasper sighed. He guessed Aonghas was pretty serious about this. Whatever. He blocked his spell and sent a new one his way. He chose a Jelly Fingers curse, hoping it would make Aonghas drop his wand.
