Y33 Dueling Match #6

[Professor Kalif Styx]

Professor Styx leads the two contestants to the stage, appointing them into the north or south part of the stage. He reveals the rules as well as the point system. He walks off the stage and orders the duel to begin, as he keeps a watchful eye.

All right, make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.


The duel begins now. If someone doesn't post after 24 hours, they are disqualified.
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Domi's excitement for the dueling tournament had somewhat dulled over the years, as much as she hated to admit it. Every year it seemed she just got up there for a bit, cast a couple of spells, and then took the most dramatic fall she could. Which was fine, it was fun to be dramatic, and this was the closest thing Hogwarts had to a proper stage, but Domi was getting tired of the same performance over and over again. It hadn't actively been a plan at first, when she started researching combat spells more closely, but by the time the tournament had arrived, Domi had put enough work in that she was certain this would be her year. She was gonna leave this tournament a champion. After bowing to her opponent, Domi moved quickly, flourishing her wand as she cast her first spell. "Stupefy!"

Mazikeen was so ready for this duelling tournament. She always took part and though she didn't tend to do well, she certainly always enjoyed it. She'd put on a dark red lipstick and flashed a smile to the girl opposite before they got started, she dodged out of the way of the spell which the girl shot at her and then cast "Furnunculus,"

Domi was braced and ready to retaliate, casting a shield as she saw the spell heading for her. Her shield came up too slow though, and the curse struck Domi full force. She shrieked in pain and horror as she felt the boils erupting all over her skin, dropping her wand as she instinctively reached to clutch her face. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Domi screamed, dropping to her knees and hiding her face, arms trembling. She could feel how hideous her face had become, and it was repulsive even to think about. Domi hunched over to cover her face, hoping nobody saw her like this. She had really wanted to win the duels this year, but now all Domi could think about was hiding. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
