Y33 Dueling Match #4

[Katherine Alicastell]

Leading the first batch of duelists onto the stage, Katherine gestured for them to take their positions on opposite ends, and briefly explained the rules and formalities as a refresher, though by now everyone both competing and spectating was bound to know them. With all said and done, the Headmistress took her place on a raised podium overlooking the stage and the crowd gathered around it, before taking her wand to her throat. "Bow and commence." Her voice boomed clearly, informing the competitors that they were welcome to begin.

The duel begins now. You have 24 hours to post, or face disqualification. Ensure that you use the spell list for guidance on age-appropriate spells, and read over the dueling rules and points system. If you are knocked out or otherwise disarmed/incapacitated, or if you run out of points, you will lose and the duel will end. Have fun!
As an added note: Spectators are allowed to post in this topic once per competitors post, but are forbidden from directly interfering with the duels.

Bisera hadn't taken part in this in the prior year, she hadn't been that interested in it, but since school was already so boring, she had figured it couldn't get any worse, so what was the harm in it. The girl had her wand in hand and bowed to the person across from her. She was off the mark and said, "Incendio,"

Vegeta felt somewhat disappointed when the person he wanted to face did not even sign up but regardless, he was going to have some fun with it. He bowed to the Slytherin girl and took no hesitation to bock her spell, which was dangerous and impressive, with a verbal Protego. He thought over the spells he knew and fired a knee reversing hex in her direction.

Bisera didn't do much to hide her frustration when the boy blocked her spell with ease. She rolled her eyes a bit as she stopped his spell from hitting her with a simple protego and then threw back, "Reducto," with a little smirk.

Vegeta knew that his shield would not be strong enough to block that spell. It was a powerful one. The Gryffindor ducked to the side to dodge the spell, luckily not falling off of the stage at the same time. He hissed and cast the antler jinx in retaliation. It was not a spell to end the duel, but maybe some humiliation will give him the upper hand.

Bisera stopped the spell just in time. She would not have enjoyed it hitting her at all. She didn't think her chances of winning were high, but she wouldn't go down without a proper fight. So she cast, "Furnunculus,"

Vegeta attempted to throw up a protego but did not seem to get it up in time, as painful, ugly boils sprouted all over his skin. Vegeta immediately felt the fires of the pain from the infected pores. He would desperately need to go to the hospital wing after this. Yet, that did not stop the Gryffindor. He shouted, more furious than anything, the incantation of the Jelly Brain Jinx at his opponent.

Bisera was pretty pleased when her spell hit it's mark, and the boy grew grotesque. She smiled a little at it. It also appeared to make the other boy pretty made. She smiled at him, a falsely sweet smile as he then threw a spell back. She waisted no time in blocking it and sending back a trip jinx.

Still enraged by the boils, Vegeta had poor reactions and could not seem to think straight due to it. He was hit once more by another spell, causing him to fall onto the stage. As if the pain could not get any worse. Was it the boils, or his own humiliation? Who knew. Angrily, he cast, "Reducto!" with all the force he could muster, before he got back to his feet. Hopefully, his aim was true.

Bisera couldn't help but be pretty pleased when her spell hit the boy once again and it was clear that he was getting frustrated with her. She felt pretty happy about that, she liked that she'd clearly annoyed him, she blocked his spell and cast "Stupefy,"

Vegeta managed to get on his feet, and just in time to dodge the incoming spell. Vegeta let out a sigh, though his cheeks were flushed with anger, he attempted to control it. He aimed his wand and cast a verbal Incendio in her direction. Something to cause some sort of harm.

The duel was lasting, but somehow, Vegeta was holding on. He knew that he could not really duel much longer with the pain he was in, but instead, he pressed forward. He did not want to lose to a Slytherin, let alone a girl. No, he wanted to win, or go out with a bang. "Reducto!" cried out Vegeta after dodging the next stupefy.
