Y32 Beauxbatons Quidditch Practice

Jamie arrived at the pitch bright and early. His gaze was shifting up to the array of people who had come for this. It was a sunny but cold morning in France bound to warm as the day went on, but they would surely get very warm as they got into practice. The boy looked to the captain before then clearing his throat to the people in front of him, "Okay gang! We've got a lot of time till our next game but during that time we need to practice hard, so let's just take a moment to arrive and stretch a bit and when we're all good, Elvira can call this practice into session," the boy told them and smiled happily at each of them. As a team they would need to work together and get good at all of the positions they played. This would allow them to be better players overall. The teen smiled and watched as others began appearing. They had to in top form for the next game so he was quite dedicated to getting good at the game. Improving his own skill while working with the others in this team.

[Elvira Rojas]

The disappointment of not being able to play last year was still strong in Elvira, and she wished Brendan could have stayed another year to see them to victory. But he wasn't here, and it was up to Elvira and her new co-captain now. Tryouts had gone well, even if they hadn't gotten as many people as she had hoped. Now she just had to hope everyone was bringing their best work to this practice, and that the team would come together to shine. She grinned at Jamie as he talked to the team, feeling oddly proud. He was definitely doing a better job than she had when she had first become captain. "Yes! I want to see you stretching, we have a lot of work to do!" She added, grinning at the team members. "Go on!" They really had to be in top form for the game, and Elvira was determined to have a great practice.

 

[Nadine De Rosier]

Nadine was excited for practice to resume. As far as she was concerned, Quidditch was definitely the best part of being at school! She looked at the two captains as they talked to the team, feeling a little sad about Brendan being gone. He had definitely been a good example for her to follow as a chaser, and now that she was on the team as a regular player instead of an alternate, she definitely could use all the help she could get. But Nadine was sure she would pick things up quickly, and that before long she would score left and right for her team. She started to stretch to prepare for practice after the captains told them to, but hoped this wouldn't take too long. She wanted to fly already!

 

[Theodore Lacroix]

Theodore was, as always, looking forward to the practice. Every opportunity to play with the team, whether anything official or just for the fun of it, was alright in his book. He felt so much more accomplished every time he caught a snitch than he ever did from receiving a rare Outstanding grade in classes. Maybe, just maybe, he'd make it to joining the Quafflepunchers after school, if they had a spare spot for him, though he assumed Elvira would also be vying for the opportunity, in which case he was sure he'd be one of her biggest fans. Greeting the team with a smile, the boy listened to the captains and stretched his limbs - arms in particular, for all that straining to reach for the ever elusive snitch he was bound to be doing in a matter of minutes.

As the team stretched and got ready, Elvira watched them. They didn't have as many alternates as she would have liked, but she knew the team that was here right now was a strong one. She allowed them some time, then whistled to catch their attention. "Quentin will guard the north hoops, but you will need to make a half a lap to the center of the pitch after scoring before you can try again. Beaters have to practice aiming at moving targets, so don't get angry with them if they hit you. Get better at avoiding instead!" With that, Elvira released the balls for the game, and got onto her broom. "Let's go!" She shouted, taking to the air immediately and starting to look for the snitch.

We'll be using the format of the Quidditch games, but edited. No points! Please do try to be realistic in what you do, and allow for some misses as wel as hits/goals.

Seekers get 1 snitch catch each if they want to use it, but try to build up to it. For any questions, PM me or Emzies. This is more about RPing than actual gameplay, but we also want to help the team get used to the new rules of movement ect, so please do take a look at the rules. Thank you!

After getting ready for the practice, Nadine was happy when the captain started it. She didn't pay too much attention to what she said, except for where they had to score. As soon as the Quaffle was released, Nadine flew up and grabbed it. She beamed, proud of herself for getting it. She quickly started making her way to the north hoops. Hopefully, she would be able to score a goal with their new keeper there. He wasn't very experienced, and hopefully she could show off a little bit.
