Y30 Dueling Match #11

[Kennedy Pratt]

Kennedy led the two contestants onto the platform where they would be dueling and appointed them to the north and south ends of the stage, respectively. Once she explained the rules and the points system to them, she walked off the stage and let them begin when they were ready.

Make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.
The duel begins now. If someone doesn't post after 24 hours, they are disqualified.

Merrill followed Professor Pratt onto the dueling platform, and took her place on the north end. Once they were given the go ahead she bowed to her opponent and then quickly straightened up before casting her first spell. It was a babbling curse. If he couldn't speak then he couldn't cast.

This was Hunter's first ever duel and he was nervous but at the same time this was the only fun thing he could do after no longer in the Quidditch team. He looked at his opponent before they were lead by Professor Pratt on the platform. He and his sister were doing the dueling together but unlike her, she won two years ago. Once the rules were told, Hunter bowed before his opponent and his reflex faster like he was beater again, the boy blocked the spell that was coming toward him. <COLOR color="darkgoldenrod">"Protego!" Once it bounded off, he did another spell. "Incendio!" He casted not on his opponent but on the floor near her. It'll give him time to focus.

Merrill was disappointed that her spell hadn't met its mark, but this duel was just beginning, and she wasn't ready to give up yet. She quickly cast a shield to protect herself from the fire, and then turned her wand to Hunter to cast a jelly finger jinx.

Hunter didn't waste time and block himself from the next attempt Merrill did to him. He had to be quick with another spell, <COLOR color="darkgoldenrod">"Reducto!" He casted. His voice firm and the pronunciation perfect. He wanted to win this round because it seems he's enjoying the bit of adrenaline in him

Just as her shield was beginning to falter Merrill was able to cast another just in time to avoid the boys curse. The longer the duel went on the more adrenaline was pumping in her veins, and helping her reaction time. "Petrificus Totalus!" Merrill cried out as she sent another spell flying towards the boy.
