With the two contestants for the round in tow, Professor Summers lead them through the chamber, stopping short of a long, raised platform. "Alright, take your positions here, and here." He stated, motioning briefly to the far north and south sides of the platform. He explained the usual rules to follow, and how the point system applied to ensure a winning side. Stepping back, he allowed for a safe distance between himself and the duellists, before giving a thumbs up to begin. ​

Peyton lost the last dueling tournament but today, she will finish and win this match. Her skills was improving every year and not just in potions but her wand movement and spell casting. After listening at the Professor and taking the south part of the platform. The Gryffindor didn't waste time and bowed to her opponent. She noted that she's a Ravenclaw and that her opponent is smart, Peyton noted. But after her bow, she attacked immediately. <COLOR color="#000">"Stupefy!" The blonde shouted, aiming her wand swiftly to the dark haired girl.

Izzy had never participated in the dueling tournament until now, and she was looking forwards to it. Not that she was nervous, she knew her spells, but when she followed the professor and her opponent to the actual dueling chamber the fifth year could feel her grip on her wand tighten. She barely had time to shout the first spell from her place at the north platform as the other girl didn't waste time in casting. Izzy just barely blocked the spell, and immediately retaliated. "
Confundo!" she said, pointing the wand at her target.

Darn She thought as the Ravenclaw blocked the stunning spell she did but she wasn't that alert nor fast enough as Peyton shielded herself with the shield charm. The Gryffindor countered the spell she did, <COLOR color="#000">"Diffindo!" Her wand movement precise.

Izzy didn't manage to block the spell this time, so as soon as the spell hit her left shoulder she cried out in pain, but ignored it as she regained her composure. At least it hadn't been her wand arm. "

Her heart skip a beat when the girl was hit, it was a dangerous spell she did but she's sure they will be taken care of when someone gets hurt. Peyton's emotion recovered when her opponent cast another spell upon recovering from her hit. And with a wave of her hand, she shielded herself with the charm and immediately followed another, <COLOR color="#000">"Obscuro!" Not liking hurting someone else, Peyton targeted the girl's vision instead.

Damn this other girl was good. She figured they were on the same level, she definitely knew her from her year from a few of her classes, but still Izzy couldn't let her guard down, not even for a second. The Ravenclaw cast Protego before the spell aimed at her could blurry her vision. "

Peyton was waiting for the spell to hit the girl but she was fast enough to protect herself and cast a spell as well that Peyton didn't have time to shout a spell but only dodge the spell tot he side. Oh, its on She thought smiling wickedly. The Gryffindor waved her wand once more to the direction of her opponent and shouted, <COLOR color="#000">"Locomotor Mortis!" A flash streak came out of her wand and toward the Ravenclaw girl.

As soon as Izzy saw the girl dodge her spell, she smirked, this was going to be fun after all. Especially seeing as the other girl was smiling mischievously. She jumped to the side, seriously wanting to make progress but then again the girls seemed to be on the same level so this could take a while. Pointing her wand at her, Isabelle cast the Leek jinx and watched as light flashed out of her wand.

Her head was high that she was already thinking her victory when the girl cast a spell she couldn't block at the millisecond time frame. The spell, thankfully, wasn't bad. Leeks started to sprout from her ears and before it got too big, she fired a spell back before taking care of the one used to her. Peyton used the fur growing spell and as a light emits from the tip of her wand, she pointed her wand to herself and stopped the spell that was used on her. Leeks started to die and off her ears. The Gryffindor sigh in relief.

Not that she was particularly glad that she had hit the other girl with her jinx, well maybe a little, but it did give her satisfaction that she'd managed to be successful with her casting. A least her years worth of good practice in charms had helped in this regard. She cast Protego, although that was a rather weak attempt and thankfully she managed to duck in time for the girl's spell to miss her by inches, just in case her own protection spell hadn't been strong enough. She stood up and pointed her wand at her opponent before casting the Babbling curse. This was indeed great extra practice.

Izzy had to duck because she barely had time to deflect the spell cast at her. She didn't hesitate in sending one the girl's way, as her opponent seemed very keen to hit Isabelle with a spell and possibly win the duel.

This was taking rather long to finish, she thought as the Gryffindor cast a similar spell towards her to the one she'd cast previously. Izzy deflected the spell, not as easily as before and yelled
"Muffliato!" The french girl knew neither opponent was going to give up anytime soon.

The blonde Gryffindor was tired but she has to keep going or everything she had learned for the past year would just be a sick joke. Peyton dropped to the ground to dodge her opponent's next spell. A spell for people who loves to eavesdrop. The spell wasn't for me, honestly, she has gossiping. Once the Gryffindor stood up, she unexpectedly cast an easy spell but no one has done it to a human before. <COLOR color="#000">"Wingardium Leviosa!" Peyton wanted to levitate her opponent. That way, she could easily drop her. But the thought of it makes her have a second thought, although, she had cast the spell already.
