Ravenclaw had done better last year than the previous years thanks to the seeker and her wins. Bryce Chamberlin hoped that she would show up again to secure her spot. Bryce walked down to the Quidditch pitch and set up the board and the wrote down the instructions on it, as well as a sign up area on the white board for people to sign up on. He hated talking, so he would have to do this. As soon as he looked up, he tried to look as positive as he could, but within his eyes, it was failing miserably. As soon as everyone gathered around the board, he pointed at it, and nodded to the previous players. "Hello everyone, I'm the captain, Bryce. I am the keeper of the Quidditch team. Everyone pick up a marker and sign up with your name and position. And a big welcome back to the previous team too! Chasers should practice passing and scoring with the provided Quaffles. Beaters should protect the team from bludgers. Keepers should practice guarding, however you will only be an alternate. Seekers should catch the few snitches that were flying around. Good luck and have fun!" Bryce made sure that everyone signed, and he stepped back to observe the practice from the ground. He just hoped that they would have a decent shot this year.

If you were on the team last year, you can post your arrival and you will be guaranteed your spot, unless you let your account go inactive or didn't respond to my game PMs the majority of the time. Then you have to try out again. Everyone else, we can always use lots of players, so one post with your arrival and try out! Previous team, if you want to help the others try out, go on ahead too! Alternates, if you want a spot that is not what you have, then you need to try out.

First years, you can PM me to approve before posting here. If I say no, you can defend your request. Below is the team, and the available positions.

Serenity made her way down the quidditch pitch for this years try outs. She was happy that she didn't have to try out for the team again, last year was so nerve wrecking for her and even though she should be slightly more confident after catching the snitch in two out of three games in the previous year, she was still nervous with the idea of playing a game. Today she was more than happy with sitting on the side lines today and watching the new Ravenclaws trying out and giving some support if need be.

Gabriel arrived at the pitch early for tryouts even though he would not be required to try out again this year. He was interested in seeing what new talent might tryout for the upcoming season. After all, they had finished in second last year, and he wanted to be first this year.

Rosie had a busy year coming up and wasn't sure if agreeing to take on all of these things was a good idea or not. There were no OWLs or NEWTs to worry about so why not take on some extra stuff? "Because we agreed to take a break this year, you stupid idiot." Rosie mentally told herself as she walked onto the Quidditch Pitch, with her broom in hand. Showing up to cheer on new people trying out was the least she could do since her position was secure. Rosie tapped Bryce on the shoulder before smiling at him and taking her place next to her other teammates. Rosie hoped Ravenclaw would kick some butt at Quidditch this year instead of letting Slytherin take over again.

Ravenclaw deserved to win Quidditch this year, and beat the Slytherins and the rest of them into the dust! Blaine Matthias, the team beater, dressed in his blue robes, grabbed his broom and went toward the Quidditch pitch. As soon as he arrived, he noticed a slight change in the Captain, but did not worry. He waved his hand to the newcomers before looking toward the stands to maybe see someone that could be watching him. He liked her enough, so maybe she will show up or something. One was hoping. He waited around for the try outs to be over, before he would leave. After all, Ravenclaw needed the absolute best players.

Isaiah had been debating about this for a long while. Before his mother had died she had bought him a small broom, and showed him how to fly it. Of course, it wasn't a real broom, but it had been real enough that Isaiah was actually a relatively fair flyer. He was fairly good at it. He wasn't sure how he would compare to the others of other teams, but he felt confident in his abilities to be able to try out for the team. It was just a matter of finding the courage to actually be able to. He knew that he might not be as good as other players. He knew that it was likely they would not want someone who had little experience of the game itself to be playing. Isaiah reasoned with himself in saying that while he didn't really know quidditch, he knew rugby. Rugby had made his kick pretty strong and made him pretty good at catching it too. Which made him confident enough that he could manage with Quidditch. Which was why he had found himself kitted out in his old school's sports gear and a school broom in hand, ready to give this ago and attempt to see if he was good enough to join the team. He listened to the Quidditch captain as he spoke to them. He looked around at the others waiting around, either members of the team, or just waiting to try out. Finally as the try-outs got underway, Isaiah stepped up. "Isaiah Jeffreys, Chaser" He said with all the confidence that he could muster. He was feeling incredibly nervous about it. He hadn't though of himself as the type to try out for the team, nor really the type to take part in school sports. In his last school, he'd only done rugby because he had to. Isaiah left nothing more to think about and just mounted on the broom. He shot up into the air, a little unsteady, but set to work. As a chaser he knew that it was his duty to score, which he was sure would be tricky against some well experienced players. Isaiah couldn't compete with such people. No matter how much he could try, there was only so much that he would be able to do.

Suddenly he had caught the ball from one of the other chasers who was either already a member of the team, or also trying out. Isaiah shook his head and then shot in the direction they were supposed to be scoring. He passed the ball to his other team mate, before flying further forward, and past opposition chaser. He was thrown the quaffle and took the opportunity to try to score. The keeper however was quicker than he was, and the shot was blocked. Isaiah cursed slightly under his breath before, flying off to get the quaffle back from one of the other players. He was able to grab it, as it was thrown, and quickly went back up the pitch, dodging other players, before finally getting close enough to take a shot. Once again, the shot was blocked. Isaiah cursed again, but didn't let it slow him down. He was a first year, of course he would have trouble shooting. On his third time racing up the pitch and taking a shot the boy finally managed to score. He cheered out loudly at this, before realising that the try outs were not over really. He flew back down to the ground and thanked the captain for allowing him to try out, despite being a first year. He then spent a few minutes just on the pitch. Regaining his breath, sitting on one of the benches. They'd find out soon enough who had made the team and who hadn't. He let his eyes drift back up to those hoops. He briefly wondered if his mother had played when she'd been at school. It was a thought, that Isaiah pushed out his head, he'd had a good time, it had been fun flying. Playing with others. Because of that, Isaiah didn't even mind if he didn't actually make the team. He was just glad he'd tried, and hoped that he would get the chance to play again soon.

Mathew was disappointed that during his first two years he hadn't worked up the courage to go and try out for the Quidditch team. He knew that it would be different in the new year, while he was buying his school supplies for the new year his adoptive father had surprised him with a broomstick. With his parent's encouragement still fresh in his mind and his gleaming new broomstick slung over his shoulder, Mathew headed down to the pitch to join his fellow Ravenclaws.

When at the pitch Mathew looked around at last years team then gave the hopefuls a once over. Any speck of confidence he had about making the team began to drain away from him. Mathew went over to spare supplies and grabbed a spare beaters bat. If he made the team he would want to make an effort to buy his own but for now that would do. "I'm Mathew Cosgrove and I'm trying out for beater," He said introducing himself to the captain before going off to join the other wannabee beaters.

Soon, it was Mathew's turn to take to the air, he kicked off the ground and leaned forward to gain some momentum as he rose into the air. He gripped his bat hard and scanned the skies for sudden movement. He looked over at some of the chasers as they were practicing taking shots and the keepers trying to save them, he suddenly noticed something plummeting towards one of the hopeful chasers as he was preparing to take a shot. Mathew leaned forward and exploded towards the chaser, one hand on his broom handle and the other gripping his bat firmly preparing for the impact. She whizzed past the chaser to intercept the bludger, without thinking he swung his bat forward and smashed the bludger back in the opposite direction. Mathew adjusted the hand on his broom and curled back to find a vantage point. For the rest of his tryout he would only hit away two more bludgers, one that heading straight for the keeper's head and another he stopped from snapping one of the seeker's broom in half.

After everyone was finished the the captain was happy the tryout was called to an end. Mathew returned his bat to the stores and returned to the castle with his broom over his shoulder. He hoped he would be buying a new bat soon.

It was Emalia's Sixth Year at Hogwarts. She couldn't believe it, but her time at Hogwarts was nearing it's end. Of course, she still had two full years, but her brothers were leaving at the end of this year, and she was silently looking forward to it. This year, Emalia had been made Prefect. It was a pleasant surprise, she had expected it in her Fifth Year, but after not receiving it then, she thought she wouldn't get it at all. However, it arrived to the Half Way House, and Emalia was over the moon.
Although her brother, Chad, would be furious that both Emalia and his twin would be on the Quidditch team again, while he was not allowed to be, Em wanted to be apart of it again. She loved being a beater, and it kept her fit, and her mind healthy. The Ravenclaw Prefect made her way to the Qudditch Pitch, before greeting the Captain and the team. She took a seat next to her team mates, and started to relax. It might be a nerve-wrecking time for the people trying out, but Emalia decided she was going to enjoy her day.

Last call for Ravenclaw!
Open for first years now! This will close by tomorrow or Wednesday!

Demonia let her fingers gently dance over the handle of the broomstick she was carrying onto the Quidditch Pitch. As much as she tried to pretend like she wasn't nervous about trying out, she was. The position she was trying out for was already taken and she knew that, but if she practiced enough and proved her skill, maybe when that player retired she'd be able to take over? "I'm not even that good but I hope they can overlook that and still give me a chance." Demonia wanted to do something during school other than study and sit outside. If she got herself out there enough maybe she'd make a name for herself and actually have a shot at making some friends and Graduating as something more than just a shadow. Her younger brothers were coming to Hogwarts soon and with their personalities they'd outshine her easily. Demonia was nothing more than a quiet dreamer who preferred to hide away than face problems. But that kind of attitude would never get her anywhere in life, so she had to find a way to break through the stigma that she had placed on herself and try to do something during her school years. Approaching the captain whom she knew couldn't hear she made sure to pronounce her words more carefully. "Demonia Zhefarovich, trying out for Keeper." The captain was the Keeper for his team, so hopefully she didn't look like an idiot in front of him.

Demonia mounted her broomstick and kicked off the ground so she could hover for a moment. Once given the okay, she carefully flew up to the Hoops and signaled that she was ready. Before she knew it a Quaffle was being thrown her way. Demonia tried her best to stop it from going through, but it merely bounced off of her arm and right through the freaking hoop. Demonia bit her lip, now nervous to think that she had already messed up the one shot she had. The next few attempts were similar because she either failed to block one of the goals or the Quaffle decided to make her look like an idiot and bounce of a body part of hers. "If I could only block one goal, at least one goal I'll be happy with myself. Otherwise I'll look like a complete idiot and they won't even consider me as an alternate. Come on, I can do this!" A more experienced Chaser came and the Quaffle flew with great speed right by her head and Demonia squeaked in surprise. Why on earth would they throw that hard with a newbie up there?! The next Quaffle that was thrown was successfully blocked by Demonia, and so was the next. Awesome so she had blocked two shots! More shots were thrown and Demonia missed nearly all but a couple. Okay so she wasn't that good, but she blocked some and hopefully that was enough to convince them that she would probably be a lot better if she got some practice in. Landing on the ground, Demonia waited to see if any others would try out.
