Isabella yawned as she made her way onto the pitch. Perhaps staying up late to try and get some reading done was a bad idea. Chances were high that she was going to forget everything she attempted to study in the first place. It was Isabella's seventh year, and she was bent on making it the best. Or at least, the best she could make it. Maybe if Sergios would stop grinning at her like some love-sick puppy. It was far too cute, and it made her stomach twist into knots. It was awkward and weird, and he seemed to realize that too. Stepping out onto the pitch with a broom in hand, Isabella was ready to get her final Quidditch tryout done and over with. As much as she loved Quidditch and the team that she had built, she was more than ready to give it up at the end of the year. It was time for her to keep a watchful eye out and attempt to spot someone who could possibly take her place at the end of the year. "Could everyone please shut up now! Awesome." Although she had improved her attitude quite a bit, there were still some things that she knew would never change. Smirking, she continued. "State your name and position that you are trying out for, then proceed to tryout. Anyone who is trying out to be a Chaser, grab a quaffle and practice passing and such. You can also try to score. Keepers, go to the hoops guard. If you need someone to throw some Quaffles for you to block one of the Chasers or I will help out. Beaters, go grab a bat and practice hitting some bludgers and guarding the team. Lastly, Seekers, there are some golden snitches flying around, so practice chasing after and if you can...catching the snitch. Try not to hurt yourself....and good luck!" Isabella waved her hand into the air, as if to let them know that they could all go ahead. Hopefully this wouldn't take all day. Isabella desperately needed a nap.

So thanks to this nifty idea thiught up by Kaitlyn to save us time. We will be Running things a little differently this year thanks to the system. If you were on the team last year, you can post your arrival and you will be guaranteed your spot, unless you let your account go inactive or haven't been on in a month and so long as you have participated in at least ONE game. Even if you all you did was post your arrival onto the pitch. Everyone else, we can always use lots of players, so one post with your arrival and try out! If someone listed below doesn't post before the topic closes, their spot could easily become yours just as well or be thrown in in case another player cannot make it! I will try my best to let everyone play in at least one of the games.

First years, you can PM me to approve before posting here.
Below is the team, and the available positions.

Kailie Styx walked up to the Quidditch pitch with her broom thrown over her shoulder. This was her final year. Everything would be in place one day. She sighed as she thought about her little marriage that was supposed to happen at the end of the year. She dreaded it. She walked up to Isabella before nodding her head with a very small smile. Remaining silent, she watched the captain address the newer potential players before she took her seat on the bench. She could help out if she wanted to, but she wasn't going to. Kailie would prefer to not fly today.

Vladimir was still the beater of the Quidditch team of Slytherin, and he did not have to fight his spot for it. How great this was. The second year got dressed and grabbed his broom. He walked down to the pitch where other Slytherins gathered for their try outs. He wondered who would be the new keeper since that one girl graduated. That was all that the team needed. Alternates would be nice too of course, but he had to think of the entire team and the main line up. That was what mattered the most. He stood in the background as the captain spoke. He hoped that the try outs weren't long since he didn't want to be there all day.

Zechariah wasn't fond of interacting with people, actually he could go as far as to say that he despised it, but unfortunately he respected his mother and when she started to threaten him if he didn't start sorting himself out at school he knew that he had no choice but to do something about it. So the self proclaimed loner found himself heading toward the Quidditch Pitch to try out for the Slytherin Quidditch team. He hadn't even came to the games last season but he had heard that they had won so he figured they should be good, at least. Even though he had never played the game one of his favourite past-times was going to watch Professional games with his father when he was younger and secretly had always aspired to be just like the people out in the field but he never went any further to try and pursue that idea, after all he was just a child and he knew it wasn't always viable for someone to just become a Professional Quidditch Player.

Although it was only that memory that was driving him to make his way towards the Quidditch pitch today as it was the only club that he figured would be the least painful for him to join and he could just do his own thing out on the pitch. He had decided to try out for the beater position as he knew he had a good arm on him after he knocked out a few older students at Durmstrang when he would be visiting his mother and they made fun of him for being the Headmistress's son - also he knew it would help him to release some stress and anger which he ironically only had because he was being made to join the Quidditch team in the first place. Arriving on the pitch he saw that a small number of people already gathered around each other talking away, and slowly he made his way over towards them and waited for the Captain to start talking. Smirking softly to himself as the captain straight out told everyone to just shut up, he could see himself actually liking her as a captain. "Zechariah Powell. Beater. He said with lack of emotion in his voice as he grabbed one of the beaters bats and on the captain's instructions he mounted his broom and kicked hard off the ground.

He started flying around a big to get a feel of the air and started to look out for one of these blasted bludgers. He didn't realise how heavy the beaters bat actually was and knew it would probably take some getting used to it so he started swinging it back and forth so he could get used to it while on the broom. While watching everyone else try out for the game or practice he heard the distinctive sound of a bludger being hit, looking to where the sound came from he raced over to the girl that it seemed to be aiming towards. Raising his bat over his head he swung it forward with all of his mite and smirk as the bludger flew away in the other direction, before doing the same himself. Going a bit higher this time he circled the pitch for a few minutes before seeing a bludger off to the side. Speeding over to it's line of direction he raised his bat and swug it towards the bludger but instead of the bat stopping due to the shear impact of the hit it continued to go forward, throwing Zechariah off balance a bit. As he fixed himself up he turned around just in time to see the turn and head back towards him. Raising his bat yet again he swung for it, sending it off to the opposite end of the pitch. He continued to watch the try outs as he waited to see if any of the bludgers would show up. He had got a few more hits and misses alike in before the try-outs stopped, feeling somewhat proud of himself he made his way back down to the pitch and headed back up to the castle.

Pandora wasn't sure why she was trying out again, probably because of her brother. He seemed to like the idea of the two of them playing a sport together on opposite teams. Either way, Pandora found herself approaching the Quidditch Pitch with her broom tucked tightly between her fingers. The blonde nodded at Vladimir before she let her eyes fall onto the captain. Although Pandora was mean, she was slightly intimidated by Isabella. Mostly because she failed to put up with anyone's crap. Pandora sighed and cross her arms over her chest. Hopefully these tryouts wouldn't last long, because Pandora dreaded having to wear Quidditch robes longer than she had to. They were always so itchy and hot.

Rolling of a high from his first year at Hogwarts New Zealand, Iason needed a new challenge for this year and when he saw the sign for Quidditch try-outs in the Slytherin Common Room he knew that this would be his challenge for this year. He had never really had any interest in flying or playing Quidditch when he was younger but after his flying lessons in the first semester last year he really had the flying bug and was disappointed that the try outs had already happened by the time he realised he had any interest in it. So on the morning of the try-outs Iason made his way down to the pitch with the rest of the team and the people trying out. When he arrived at the pitch he walked over to where the people all seemed to be gathering around. He listened to the captain's instructions about what each position had to do. Iason had thought long and hard about what position he should try out and at the end of the day he figured that the best position for him would be that of a keeper, he just hoped that the captain thought the same about him.

After listening to the instructions Peter looked up to the sky, it was such a good day for try-outs and he knew it was going to be a good day for him too. "Iason Samartzi. Keeper!" he told the captain before picking up his broom and kicking off the ground with a good speed. Flying towards the hoops he did a few laps around them so he could get a quick feel of the air. It was good to be up here, he had so much more height and freedom than he did in his own backyard at home. Hovering in front of the centre hoop Iason watched the chasers and beaters flying around in front of him, waiting until one of the chasers got the quaffle and made their way over to him. Looking at them head on he didn't break eye contact with them until he saw the quaffle flying towards him. It was a pretty shitty throw as it landed right in his arms with very little effort from him. Throwing it back into the game he watched everyone zig zag in front him, dodging the odd bludger himself as the beaters were nowhere near him. As he tried to dodge another bludger he cursed because for starters the beaters clearly weren't doing their job right if he had to dodge them himself and secondly because as he turned around he saw a quaffle flying into the hoops beside him. Flying around he caught it and threw it back into the game. Angry at himself he knew he only had one more shot before he had to let anyone else trying as keeper to switch over with him he made sure to not let any more go in, well not at least without him trying to save the goal.

The game, or try-out, went on for what seemed like an eternity until he saw someone coming towards him with a quaffle again. Locking eye contact on them he watched their every move he saw that they were trying to trick him by swerving a lot and as soon as they threw the quaffle he saw it going up to one of the taller hoops, quickly pulling up on his broom he reached one arm out and hit it out of the way before it reached the hoop. Grinning widely he went to catch the quaffle and threw it back into the game. Pretty proud of himself he made his way back down to the pitch and waited to see what else was going to happen, he wasn't sure how long they'd have to wait until he found out if he made the team or not, he hoped it wouldn't be long.

Truth be told, Chad couldn't wait for this year to be done. It had only just started, and he was already in a foul mood. Having to be in a team with two hot chicks who had rejected him was bad enough, but one of them was his captain. He wondered why she let him in the team again, but he knew it was because he was too good of a player to pass up. Chad stormed onto the field, wanting to get the try-outs over and done with. If he was already on the team, why did he have to be here? He could of used the time actually practising Quidditch, or beating up the punching bag, or finding a girl that would be good enough to be his girlfriend for a week or two. He barely greeted his captain, already in a bad enough mood than to have to deal with people.

Okay guys, I'm hoping to wrap this up before the end of the week! So if anyone wants to join the team, please post your tryout or attendance post soon! We still need some players, so everyone is welcome! First years still need to PM me and get permission first!

Thanks!

My school stuff literally ate me alive and I hoped that I am not too late. I want to come back to HNZ and get the fun start again.

Paige had slacked the last period of the year, she did not have as much joy in learning as she had before. Her friends had kind of left her and Paige didn't want any help or whatsoever. The only thing that Paige could care about was Quidditch and her love for it. She loved being a chaser and when she heard the Try Outs were on again she had to try out. Paige walked onto the field and greeted her old Captain, it all felt so surreal. ''Hello everyone,'' Paige said with a slight smile on her angelic face.

Rhys walked confidently onto the quidditch pitch, smiling to himself as he took in the sight of it all. Everything was so new and amazing to him that sometimes he just couldn't believe it was all real. And yet, here he was. He sighted the group of players in front of him and approached them confidently. He had been absolutely stoked to receive his owl stating that he had gained an exception to try out for the quidditch team. He had practised every day since buying his broom, and the excitement that flew through him sent sensations coursing through his veins. He was ready for this. He wanted this. He would make this. As he finally approached the group, he smiled at them all and nodded his hello. "Rhys Graves, Keeper." he said confidently. He had played goalie for his primary school soccer team, and had been pretty damn good at it too. He was a natural flyer, and felt confident with being able to play the position well. He watched as the other boy trying out for keeper made his way back down to the pitch and smiled at him. He didn't know the boy well, but he approached him and shook his head. "Good luck!" he said enthusiastically. The other boys try out had been very good. Rhys nodded to himself, and pulling his brand new Emerald Streak broom from his shoulder, took a running start before jumping onto his broom and speeding off across the pitch. The sensation that the wind gave him as he traversed the length of the pitch made him chuckle. As he assessed his time and distance from the edge of the pitch, he pulled up sharply, speeding up towards the hoops. He had practised a little with his older brother at playing keeper, as his brother had been a chaser in school, so he had had some experience.

Hovering on his broom, he studied the game in front of him. The beaters were hovering around, eyeing him with grins. He made a mental note to keep an eye on them, and narrowed his eyes as a chaser broke away from the group and headed towards him. He took a breath, keeping his cool and studying the distance the chaser had to make it to him. He had gone over this a million times. He couldnt possibly mess this up. The chaser had been coming right at him, and at the last moment, made a feinting manoeuvre, trying to dart by him, but Rhys was smarter than they ere taking him for. His arm shot out as the quaffle flew towards the post, and siezed it successfully. He smiled openly as he dropped the circular ball and kicked it with a bit of force, sending it back into the arms of another chaser. He had done it, just like he believed he could.

Making his way back to the center post, he hovered, concentrating on the game. Bludgers were flying around the place, but none close enough to hit him. He wasnt overly worried about it. Taking a bludger didnt worry him as much as failing to secure a position on the team. Just as he had finished that trail of thought, another two chasers broke off from the pack and came at him, tossing the ball between each other, trying to confuse him. He studied their patter as carefully as he could, and decided he would have to make a gutsy move to successfully take this one. Just as they approached near enough, the chaser on the right readied to throw the quaffle over to her companion. As the ball left her hands, Rhys darted forward as quickly as he could, head ducked down and eyes on the quaffle. He intercepted the ball inbetween the two chasers and heard the obvious grunt of frustration from the chaser he had taken the ball from.

It all came down to this. One last ball. He sat, watching the game as intensely as he could. This time, three of the chasers came at him, with no defenders there to block. He was worried now. He had only just pulled off that last move, and that was with only two chasers. Now there were three? What was he going to do? "Well, it all comes down to this i guess." he said as they came at him. He studied them, and darted right as the chaser handling the quaffle feinted a pass and threw the ball directly at the hoop. The feint was a good one, and the experienced chaser was just a bir faster than Rhys. The ball bounced off the inside ring of the hoop and fell through. Rhys had missed. Kicking himself mentally, he hoped that he had done well enough to make the position. He flew down the the ground and dismounted his broom. He stood waiting for the results, he head hung a little. He hadnt expected to miss.

Here is the line up! Remember that I do try to rotate the team around so everyone gets the chance to play/or is put it due to lack of availability. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. ^_^
