Ariah walked onto the Quidditch pitch with the goofiest grin on her face. Out of all people she was chosen to be Co-Captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team! How totally awesome was that?! Particularly because it meant that she had another way to show Professor Styx and the rest of Slytherin that she was capable of of doing things other than just being a clumsy fool. Plus Quidditch was really fun and Ariah knew she was going to have a blast hosting the try-outs. Last year she had been really nervous to show what she was made of in front of the Captains but it turned out to not really be that bad after it was over. Since Ariah was probably the world's biggest softie she knew that she was going to have problems picking if everyone turned out to be really good. Chances are everyone would be on the team if she could help it, maybe switching positions every once and awhile or something. Hilde was missing in action as of late so it was just her today. The Broom that Ariah had brought with her dangled from her hand until she stopped right by the area that the try-outs were taking place at. The blonde leaned against her broom and waited patiently for the others to show themselves. She just hoped people showed themselves soon, because she was bored and she knew they needed a team to fill.

OOCOut of Character:
Note: Okay so just RP your character arriving/greeting/ and telling me what Position they will be trying out for. Then wait for further instructions from me before you post again. We need a full team this year so anyone that is a 2nd year and up is free to try out!

Romaine was so pumped! He was finally able to try out for Quidditch! It nearly killed him last year when he heard that the tryouts were for second years and up only, his brother was co-captain of the team too which made it even worse that he wasn't allowed to play. It would have been really fun to play with his brother and everything. But since he wasn't allowed to play last year he merely promised himself that he would at least try out this year. Even if he didn't make it trying out would hopefully prove that he had more guts then all his siblings pegged him to have. When the day of the tryouts came near Romaine made sure to keep an eye on the board as much as he possibly could. And when it when it was posted he had his broom and everything gathered. He had no idea who the Co-captains were this year and everything but it wasn't like he was nervous. He knew what might impress them and what might not. Broom in hand Romaine carried his short body onto the pitch and saw only a blonde girl standing there, looking extremely bored to be honest. At least she was cute. Cute enough to make Romaine become less timid about approaching her. Once he was close enough he cleared his throat and hoped to get her attention. "Hey um..well I don't know who you are but hi! I'm Romaine and I would like to tryout for the Beater Position!" He grinned softly before he flicked some of the hair out of his face. He wanted to be like his brother and someday play Beater or something. Actually it would be cool if he even made it on the team like his brother. Once all of that was said and done he turned and waited for others to arrive so the tryouts could begin.

Azerail heard that there would be try outs today, but he had a little uncertainty about it, because he was now the Head Boy and he did not want any special treatment about possibly making it on the team again. Carrying his Emerald Streak, he made his way down to the Quidditch pitch. He was glad that Ariah Rowan was chosen to be the captain over anyone else. He would have loved the position himself, but he did not have enough time to handle it with as many classes he was taking this year. With his Quidditch gear on his tall form, he made his way down to the pitch, and he smiled as he approached Ariah. He said to Ariah, "Azerail Varius, and I am going for Keeper, again." He would have made a decent Seeker, or Beater, but he just preferred that position. Besides, he did not like hitting a black ball that much that could make someone go to the hospital wing for anyway. He had his gear with him, and he just waited for instructions.

Aleyha made her way down to the Pitch, glad that she was able to try out again this year. She held her Amethyst streak next to her as well as her beater's bat. She was glad that the professor that was nagging to her all the time was not making her skip on Quidditch this year. If she could not beat something, then she would go crazy. The albino Parselmouth made her way to the Pitch, and she saw Ariah and Azerail. She smiled at them and she said, "Going for Beater. Hopefully we will find one good enough to match Theodore's skills huh?" She missed her boyfriend, and she wanted so much to be with him right now. He must realize how much she misses him and how she cannot seem to really function completely without him here. At least, keep her sane. She needed that right now, because of Prodan. It was ridiculous to her.

Isabella was a little more nervous about this year. She was an alternate the previous year, but now, she was going to try out for the actual position. She would be scared if she got it though. She was a decent flyer and all. She too carried an Amethyst Streak next to her, bought for Quidditch this year. Isabella roamed around the corridors until it was ready to go. She made her way to the Pitch and she smiled once she arrived there. She noticed that she was not the only one that was young here. One other was younger than her. Isabella smiled at the Slytherin Prefect, "Isabella Romanes, going to beater." She glanced over at the albino, and averted her eyes to the ground. Reputations, she heard them all, and needless to say, she allowed them to really get a good handle on her and what she thought of people.

Joceline still couldn't believe that she was trying out for the Quidditch team. Sure she had tried out last year and been successful about getting on to the team but after so many years of being a afraid of hights and down right hating anything that stopped her from having her two feet firmly on the ground - it was just still something she wasn't quite used too. Fixing her hair in a high ponytail she broke out in a light jog to the Quidditch pitch, she still had plenty of time to get there for the try-outs so she didn't worry about rushing down. When she did arrive at the pitch she noticed a few faces, simply for being in the same house as them and others for being on the Quidditch team last year. "Hi Ariah. I'm trying out for Chaser again." she said to the youngest of the Co-Captains of the Slytherin house Quidditch team. The turn didn't seem to be as good as the Ravenclaw one, or so she heard from Thomas, she just hoped that the numbers picked up a bit.

Alyss walked up to the Quidditch Pitch, gripping hold of the broom she had bought and she smiled slightly at Ariah as she arrived. 'Hey Ariah,' She said simply, 'I'm trying out for Chaser again.' She was excited to be trying out again, and if she made it, this would be the third year that she made it on the Quidditch team as ever since second year, she had been on the team as Chaser. She was still small, as she hadn't grown much so she would be able to weave in and out between the players of course. She glanced around her at the other people that were trying out, and was pleased to see that she recognised some of them. She then looked at the people that had been either Alternates last year, or were trying out for the first time. That meant that just because the seventh years left, hopefully they would still be able to have a good team.

Shay had spent most of her life trying to be a beater but she had tried out for the quidditch team for the first time the year before and been put as alternate chaser. At first she had been angry that nobody had realised she could hit a bludger but then she started practising as a chaser and realised how much she enjoyed it. This year, she was going for chaser. Shay walked down to the quidditch pitch with her kit on and her broom in her hand. There wasn't too many people on the pitch when she arrived which got her hopes up. The less people there were, the more likely it was that she'd get the place she wanted. Shay saw the new co-captain stood on the pitch so she walked over to her. "Shaylah Rouge. I'm trying out for chaser." Most people in the school already knew her name. Her dad was in azkaban after all. It was just normal for her to introduce herself. Shay looked around and recognised a few people from last year's quidditch team. At least there would be some decent players even if there were some rubbish ones as well.

Alex walked out onto the smooth grass of the Quidditch Pitch, it was time for him to retake his place on the Quidditch Team. Or, at least try out for it again. Alex knew that he would have a good chance at getting his Position back because he had gotten the spot last year, but he knew that it was always important to never let himself get too up himself. But there was no rule in his head that said he couldn't get up himself at least a little bit. Alex stopped in front of the bulk of the trying-outers and introduced himself, his Emerald Streak in his hand. "Alex Blade, trying out for Chaser again." Alex said.

The past few days had been hard, but Milena had managed to get through them relatively well. With the help of some frelatives she had managed to recover some memories, though she still had quite a way to go. It was that thought that had driven her to take to the Quidditch pitch that afternoon.Milena was slow to laugh, quick and easy to embarrass, wore her heart on her sleeve, and fell under others influence with resistance. Typically, it took a lot to make this sensitive girl despise someone. Today however all it took was a Slytherin couple snogging in the Quidditch stands and accusing her of pervertedly wanting to watch to send her off. She had simply been flying around the pitch practicing her rolls, dives, and other maneuvers to keep herself in shape. The couple insulted her house, her home country, her intelligence in an attempt to chase her away. Perhaps if they would have simply asked nicely, the girl would have been more accommodating, less likely to become defensive, and more willing to talk things out rationally. Instead, the girl fired back some stupid insults that were awkward, unpracticed, and weak. She came to the Quidditch Pitch hoping she wasn't late and all, a few years ago she was the Alternative Seeker and now hope to come back again with the same position. " Milena La Fleur, Trying out for seeker." she said as she was breathing slowly hoping not everyone would stare at her. ". . .again." she said on low whispery voice.

Nerves seems to hit Dante harder and harder with every step he took towards the quidditch pitch, and it took all his will power not to turn back. He wore his robes, and had his Silver Arrow resting over his shoulder as he walked down through the grounds. He felt sick, and the butterflies in his chest werent helping anyone. Today were the Slytherin Quidditch Tryouts, and he was going for Seeker. He sighed slightly as he thought about what he was going to do. Ever since he could walk, his father had pushed him towards Seeker. Dante knew that his father had been Seeker in his day, and Dante had come to regard Quidditch as a passion, not a sport, so it made sense that he should go for a position. After his parents deaths though, he had lost sight of his dreams and passions, and when he had become bent with anger, it seemed that he had almost forgotten about them, well, until now.

He smiled to himself as he entered the quidditch pitch, seeing some familiar faces, and approached the group. He felt confident, and as the sick feeling went away, and was replaced with pride, he knew he hadnt made a mistake in coming today. "Dante Vrael." he said, nodding to everyone. "Seeker." he said, glancing towards Milena with a grin.

James was very nervous but there was something about walking down to the Quidditch pitch in the gleaming morning sun with his broomstick clutched in his left hand that made his stomach cringe with nerves. James had wanted to try out for the Quidditch team ever since he was eligible but he never thought he was ready, until now that is. James' flying had improved dramatically over the holidays. He had been practicing with his Dad almost everyday hovering in front of makeshift goals while his dad threw a muggle 'football' at him, he rarely missed so he felt confident as he entered the Quidditch pitch but he couldn't help but feel nervous at the prospect of trying out in front of the other members of the team. As the other hopefuls introduced themselves his heart sank, there was another Keeper trying out and from what he could gather she was returning from the previous team. He didn't stand much of a chance against a returning player. He signed deciding that he didn't have anything to lose and stepped forward. "James Woodlock," He paused and looked around at the hopeful trying to catch Milena's eye. "Keeper."

He watched nervously as the other Keeper mounted his broom and flew up to the hoops and the other chasers took turns to take shots. James' didn't find out how he did, he just didn't watch and when it was his turn his fellow Keeper had returned to the ground. James swallowed hard and swung his leg over his broom and took his position in front of the hoops, his green robe wafting in the gentle breeze. "Bring it on," He said quietly. The chasers lined up to take their shots, the first shot would be the hardest, he thought to himself as the first chaser sped towards him. He didn't think he just watched the quaffle, the chaser raised their hand and the Quaffle was suddenly flying towards the hoop on his left, he dived toward it, flipping over on his broom as he did. James stretched his fingers as far as they would reach, the tips of his fingers reached the Quaffle first then before he knew it he had grabbed it in his left hand flip upright on his broom and send the Quaffle back. One down, and the rest was cake.
