Vader had been avoiding Ava since he’d returned to school, but it had made his days a whole lot more empty and lonely. So, he’d reached out to a few others, people he just didn’t have as much time to dedicate to, because his schedule got of oh so busy. That afternoon he had dedicated that day to studying and studying with Abian, Vader had gone to the student lounge, thinking it would be a good place for them to study with a low chance of running to Ava. He yawned heavily, rubbing his eyes as he tried to focus on his books. Vader knew he needed to get better at studying, it was a rather difficult task when he was exhausted, but this was the OWL year he had to get better. He hadn’t been a great friend to Abian over the years, too wrapped up in his own issues, too busy to spend time with his friend, to stressed to remember that friendships took work. Studying with others was easier, studying with Abian killed two birds with one stone. Vader rubbed his eyes tired, he’d hoped for more sleep that night, knowing he would need to work hard in front of Abian, but he could feel the heaviness in his bones, the tiredness in his gaze. Vader had his books open and he was waiting for his friend to appear. His hands were shaking lightly, a side effect of the far too much caffiene he’d already had this early in the day, but he could study. Vader raised the coffee to his lips and drank lightly. He kept it held in his hands where it made the shaking stop entirely. Vader knew he’d be there in any moment.

While Abian was glad to be back at Hogwarts, he kind of wished he could have just frozen time in his third year or something. The fact that he would be taking his OWLs at the end of this year was really alarming, and he felt increasingly anxious about it. He had taken Vader up on his offer of studying together, partly because he knew he had to get in as much studying as he could, and he figured Vader might be able to help him with the more difficult parts. The Gryffindor was definitely a lot smarter than Abian was, but at least probably wouldn't laugh at him for any stupid mistakes he made. Abian was a little late, so rushed into the library with his books under his arm. He came to a stop at Vader's table, giving him a sheepish grin. "Hey." He said, just a little out of breath. "The Hufflepuff common room is right around the corner, so I really don't have any excuse for being later, sorry." He took his seat and glanced at the book Vader had open in front of him. "What are you starting with?" He asked, figuring it was probably smart to both revise the same subject at the same time.

Vader was continuing to lightly sip the coffee as he waited for Abian to appear. Despite all of the coffee he still felt the tiredness sit strong. He would be so pleased when this year was over. The gryffindor looked up at the door and towards Abian as he spotted him. He forced a smile on to his tired features. ”Hey,” Vader put down the coffee and took the quill in one hand, now that Abian was here they could get properly started. Vader was holding the coffee in his other hand, knowing that if he let go the shaking of his hand would only get worse. Vader gave a little shake of his head, ”It’s okay,” he assured him, ”It’s a busy time for us,” Vader said and his mind told him all of the things he would have to do after this study session, there was just so much of it. How was he going to manage it, Vader couldn’t help but think. Vader cleared his throat and looked down at his book, ”I figured we could start with Defence Against the dark arts, since we have that this semester,” Vader hated defence against the dark arts, flashes of the last semester of it played in his mind. ”Curses and jinxes,” he then said, ”What do you think?” If Abian had something else in mind he would likely be happy to switch out his books in favour of those ones.

So sorry I forgot to watch this

Abian was glad to see that Vader wasn't mad at him for being a bit late, and he grabbed his things to get studying in. He nodded as Vader suggested starting with Defence Against the Dark Arts, sighing softly as he realized that they would be having those gloomy classes all semester. "Good idea, I don't think Professor Styx will be very lenient with the OWLs this year." He muttered. "Let's do that." He grabbed his book and notes to go over, glancing at Vader. "Do you want to study the same thing at the same time, then?" He asked, not entirely sure how they were going to do this.
