Gabriel was sitting at work, bored out of his brains. The apprentice tattoist was busy piercing a teen girl's bellybutton, so Gabriel had been set to mind the front desk. He rubbed his sore stomach embarrassedly; on a (only mildly tipsy) whim, he had decided to go and get his bellybutton repierced. He had had it done before, and taken it out when he got sick of it getting caught in his clothes. He sort of missed the novelty of it though, and ever since he had gotten the other half of his snakebites done, he had been thinking about his bellybutton. So last night, when he had been just a tiny bit tipsy (certainly not enough that it would be dangerous; Gabriel took his health seriously.) he had headed down to the nearest piercing place still open, and had it redone, a thin, jeweled bar now resting in his flesh. And boy, he had forgotten how much that one hurt.

Propping his feet on the cash register, Gabriel shivered, carefully pulling his jersey closer to himself, and pulled the sketchpad and pencil always kept under the front desk out, doing some sketching to pass the time, trying to work out a design for an appointment he had next week.

Kevin stumbled into the closest tatoo and piercing place. He had been taking Sarah dumping him pretty hard, making him return to the way he was just after his divorce. He had quite a bit of stubble and a slight hangover from getting drunk but he at least vaguley remembered what he had done.

Kevin look around the place, noticing a guy behind the counter. He walked up to him, making sure the peice of paper with his design on was still in his pocket. "Hey." He leant on the desk, trying to keep himself from falling. His head really hurt.

Gabriel took his feet down, when a man stumbled into digatattoo. He looked hung over and unshaven, and pretty disoriented. Gabriel put his design in progress down when the man approached the desk, turning his full attention to him. "You okay, mate?" He asked, rising to his feet and wondering whether to take the man to the kitchen to eat, or the bathroom to throw up. It had been a long time since he had found himself that hung over. This man might even still be drunk - Gabriel wasn't sure. Making his decision against the bathroom - he didn't look nauseous, Gabriel moved around the counter to the other side, putting his hand on the man's shoulder. "Want to come down to the kitchen with me? I'll get you some water - maybe a coffee'd do it?" He asked, pushing his fringe back and wishing he had worn clips in it, girly as it may be. Hair in the face was a lot worse than looking like a girl.

Kevin shook his head at the younger mans' offer, he was slightly hung over, okay, immensley hungover but he would be fine. "Nah, just came in to see a tattooist." His plan was to get over Sarah quicjer than he had gotten over his ex-wife, lest time he had managed that with a tattoo so that's what he would do this time. Pain made him feel better in times like these, his last break up he had almost been convinsed to get multiple piercings in random places, needless to say he was glad he had passed out before he agreed to it.

Gabriel eyed him. "You're not getting a tattoo in that state, mate. Your body'd go into shock. Come on, we'll get you a coffee to clear your head, then talk about it." He said comprimisingly, gesturing to the door behind the counter, which led back to the two tattoo/piercing rooms, and the staff kitchen. "Nothing wrong with a free coffee."

Kevin sighed and nodded, he just wanted this done as quickly as possible. "Y'alright then." He followed the bloke thgrough behind the counter, his head banging as they went. "What coffee you got?"

(Sorry for lameness!)

((It's cool ^__^))

Gabriel shrugged. "Instant, sorry. We don't get long coffee breaks here." He said, heading through the door, which led into a short corridor. There was a door to each side, and another one to the end. The end door was covered in stickers. One of the side doors was closed, and a teenage girl squealed behind it, having just had her bellybutton pierced. Gabriel winced in sympathy, having just had that done himself. The other side door was open, revealing a completely clean, white room, which looked like a dentist's office. Gabriel ignored it, heading through the end door covered in stickers, into a plain, clean kitchen. He switched on the kettle and got the coffee and two cups out of the cuboard, then turned to the man. "How do you have your coffee?"

Kevin winced as the squeal hit his ears. He still had a headache, it would go away soon, it always did. Luckily for him his hangovers never lasted as long as some others, only until around elevenish. "Umm, Just black pleease." Normally it was milk with two sugars but he needed it strong for now. That way the bloke would let him get his tattoo.

Gabriel nodded. "Cool." He put a spoonful of coffee into each cup, then added three spoonfuls of sugar to his own, then turned to talk to the man while the kettle boiled. "So, did you have a design in mind? I'm Gabriel, by the way. What's your name?" He asked, flicking his long fringe out of his face. He seriously needed to get that thing cut.

Kevin dug into his pocket for the peice of paper and gave it Gabriel. It had a design he has drawn himself, It was simple but exactly what he wanted. "Here you go an, Kevin, Kevin Cameron."

Gabriel brought Kevin his coffee and took the design, looking over it and nodding in approval. "Very cool. Where did you want it?"

Kevin took his coffee and took a big slurp out of it, feeling the effects already, before gesturing where he wanted it done. This was a large on this time instead of a load of small ones. He said how the head would be at his left shoulder and then it would curl it's way down to the small of his back. "That a'right?"

Gabriel took a mouthful of his coffee, nodding. "A design like that's gonna take more than one session to do - full back tattoos usually take at least two appointments. Do you want it coloured?"

Kevin nodded, finishing the last of his coffee, now almost sobered up. "yeah mate, I figured it would take a while to do but it's cool with me."

Gabriel nodded. "Any thoughts on colouring? Just plain black outlines, or coloured outlines, or colouring inside the outlines?" He asked, taking another mouthful of his coffee and sitting on the bench absently.

Kevin shrugged. "I figured just like the picture. If you think any other details would look nice then i'll think about it but I just figured on that." He held his, now empty, cup awkwardly.

Gabriel nodded. "Just like the picture is absolutely fine! I'll need you to fill out some forms out front, and... do you want to make an appointment, or just go for it now?" He asked, taking Kevin's cup along with his, and putting them both in the sink.

Kevin nodded. "Let's just go for it now, I have no idea of my schedule." His current plans were just go out drinking and sleep. He couldn't tell if he would be in any state to have a tsttoo in the near future.

Gabriel nodded. "Fair enough. The medical forms and stuff are all out front." He said, heading back in that direction.

Kevin nodded and followed the younger man out, back to the original lobby area. He grinned, he had been thinking about getting this one for a long time, the Sarah thing just helped him decide.

When they got there, Gabriel pulled out the forms from under the counter, handing them to Kevin. It was mostly simple medical stuff; any family history of hypoglycaemia, any chance he could have AIDS, all that sort of stuff. Gabriel passed Kevin a pen, then sat down behind the counter, smiling. "There are some chairs over there, just fill that out, then we can talk about prices and future appointments."

Kevin took the sheets and sat down. He ticked where appropriate, he still remembered how it went from the last few he had. He handed them back to Gabriel, knowing there would be no problem with his information, and smiled. "Ther ya'r."

While Kevin filled out the form, Gabriel studied the design he wanted, sketching it a couple of times on blank paper kept under the cash register. He drew it a few times, until he felt he had it just right. When Kevin returned with the forms he smiled, checking them over, then nodded. "Brilliant. Now, for a tattoo this size, it's gonna be about a hundred and ten dollars an hour. Is that okay?"

Kevin nodded, he charged more than that for the interior designing he had just finished with. That had taken about a month so he had more than enough to spare. "Sure, you wanting cach or card for it?" He may have to pop to an ATM first.

"Whichever you've got on you." Gabriel smiled, heading over to the cash register. He really loved working at a muggle shop, simply because the cash registers were so much fun. Lots of button pressing and things going ping. Great fun.
