The sixth year Hufflepuff, who's blonde hair poured down her back like a waterfall as she sat hunched over her book, head in her hands and eyes closed softly. She'd lost count of how long she'd been sat in the student lounge, reading her text books over and over in the hopes of the words sticking in her mind. Geo had managed to pass her OWLs last year, but that didn't mean she was off the hook yet. The Hufflepuff had already been in Scotland for nearly a year, and had just celebrated her birthday alone at the school. Gone were the days when she hosted the bonfire parties at the cliffs, or spent time with her former Quidditch team. She knew Austin was a great Captain, but she missed him and the others she'd said goodbye to at her departure. Hogwarts Scotland was her home now, she needed to familiarise herself with UK proceedings if she were to work as an Auror in London, the dream she'd always been following since she was a child. At least she had Riley now. Her friend from the orphanage had adapted well to life at Hogwarts, and the girls had rekindled as friends when Geo returned. Riley however had many of her own tasks to attend to, often leaving Geo by herself. On this occasion, she had taken to reading, but it wasn't long until she was passed out and unaware of her surroundings.

Ember had always been a loner. She didn't really mind so much. She had a few people she could talk to if she felt like it. Honestly, she enjoyed the solitude. It gave her plenty of time to work on her music. She held her guitar in her hand, looking for a quiet place to play. She finally decided to try the student lounge, not seeing anyone when she glanced in the room. With a shrug, she took a seat on one of the couches. She took a moment to tune her guitar, then began to play, quickly losing herself in her music. She had started to wonder if she wanted a career in her music. She didn't have long to dwell on it though, for she was soon lost to everything but the lyrics and the strumming of the guitar.
