Ares hadn't had his first Transfiguration lesson yet, but he'd heard enough about the professor that he was curious. "You're the dog, right?" he asked, one hand on his hip as he looked the professor up and down. In his other hand he held a rose, complete with a small note, but Ares was more interested in what this man could do. "Why'd ya choose a dog?"

Professor Edward Pirrip raised an eyebrow at the student stood in his office, wondering where on earth this boy had appeared from and if he had even knocked. “I’m also the professor,” he said dryly, glancing at the rose in his hand. “But yes. That particular dog is me, and you'll need to pay attention in my class to find out exactly how animagus animals are chosen."

"Eh," Ares waved the statement off with his hand. That wasn't the important part of his question. Finding out too he'd have to wait just to choose an animal was a tedious response, "Can you choose from a few of your favourite?" he pushed, putting the yellow rose on the desk in front of the man without even looking at it. "What if you wanted to be something really big or small? You could turn into a snail?"
