Amity was feeling a little tired, it had been a difficult few days, she hadn't known that trying to find her origins would be quite this difficult. Travelling around with Elliot had been one of the only good parts of it, he was useful to her, a good friend and someone who could remind her of her task if she strayed too far. The former Ravenclaw had traced her roots back to an orphanage in the west of China, but she hadn't really gotten much further, gaining access to the documents was hard, and there was very little evidence of who her parents had been. She was sure this was due to her name likely being different on any birth certificate, had her parents actually bothered to get one, which was the slight hold up, no matter what they tried, or whomever they spoke to, nothing seemed to work. That was until that very day, when in the early hours of the day, Amity had gotten a phone call, on the muggle phone which Elliot had helped her buy and it had been someone on the other end, telling her that they'd found something that she might want to see, something that would interest her greatly. Hurriedly then, Amity had gotten out of bed, and began getting ready for the day, half still on the phone to the woman at the other end as she got herself up and searching for clothes. Hanging up when they had arranged a time and place where this information could be exchanged. Amity threw the phone on the bed and then continued to find clothes for the day. Travelling threw up many issues and one of them was remembering to wash clothes, which was why each day took a little time to figure out what was clean and what was not. Thankfully, Amity usually took the time every so often to find a laundromat to clean both their clothes.
It was as she pulled on a fresh, and clean pair of jeans, that Amity decided to go wake up Elliot, who had been sleeping on the other bed in the room, he was a fairly deep sleeper, and while Amity didn't try to keep quiet she just generally did, having spent so much in dorms, she'd gotten fairly good at just keeping fairly quiet. She shook his shoulder, "Elliot!" she whispered loudly, not quite yelling, but not speaking in a soft whisper, "Elliot, come on get up," she told him, moving away from him to continue getting ready, grabbing more clothes and rushing into the bathroom to get changed into them, she had forgone a shower that day, most just because she didn't want to waste a moment of this time before meeting this woman and whatever information she might have for them. Amity stared at her reflection in the mirror, musing up her hair, and applying a light amount of make-up, hastily done as she rushed to get everything else done, "You better be ready out there Elliot by the time I'm done in here," she called out to him, before then continuing to get changed, assuming that he probably wouldn't be, but just wanting to press it along, of course she hadn't yet actually told him what was happening, so when she reemerged from the bathroom, and noticed he was only just managing to get out of bed, she scowled at him slightly, knowing that it was likely her fault that he had no idea what was happening, and that he should rush, "We're meeting a woman who says she can help us in like an hour, hurry," she told him, taking a deep breath and reminding herself to be calm, before giving him a nervous smile and turning to pack a bag of stuff for the day, they had no time to lose.
