Who Knew?

Ai was indeed really strong. Despite everything that had happened, here she was, still trying to console him even though it was supposed to be the other way around. He, after all, should have been the one to say comforting words to the younger girl after what had happened. But no, here she was telling him to stop apologizing and that they'll get another chance anyway. "Gomen. I'm really sorry." He said before he could stop himself, a small smile appearing on his face as he realized how much he had said that word that day. It would be pretty ridiculous to see how much he had apologized already if it had been in another situation. "You're right, we'll try again next time, ne?" The younger girl's determination was actually getting into him. Conan may have been too jaded already, but maybe, there's still a chance for them to talk to him again.

"Ah, hai." Ryuuji said as he hurridly went to the younger girl's side. Dropping on his knees, the Ravenclaw inspected the younge rgirl's leg. It was quite swollen, must have been from the impact of her fall or something. He wasn't sure whether she had twisted her leg. "It must have hurt a lot ne?" He muttered softly before he turned his back on the younger girl. "Come on, I'll give you piggyback ride, we should have that checked in the hospital wing. And after that we can talk about what we should do." He then gestured at his back, reaching out for the younger girl's hand and placing it on his shoulder. "You wouldn't mind being carried back inside the castle, would you?"

"Nii-san's hardheaded," she said as she tried to look at him with a serious face which probably looked funny. After all, she had to get this older boy to stop apologizing as she hasn't really blamed him for anything bad that had happened today. After all, from the very start, it wouldn't have happened if the young girl didn't start the fight with her brother. All she could do was nod as he told her that they will try next time. But Ai knew better. Next time was a long way from now.

"Arigato (Thank you)," she said as the boy had agreed to help her. It made the girl think that her brother must have used his full strength when he kicked her that it must have cracked her bones, but she hope that wasn't the case. She had no plans on drinking potions that tasted bitter, or any potion for that matter. "Not so much," she said as the boy had muttered something about her injury. It was indeed very painful but she couldn't worry the Ravenclaw too much about it. Although, she was quite surprised when the boy had offered to give her a piggyback ride and place her hand on his shoulder. With the remaining strength she had, she pulled herself until she was in the right position to be carried. She shook her head that signaled that she didn't mind being carried, "Are you sure this is okay?" she asked and waited for his answer.

"Am I really?" The Ravenclaw stated with a little smile playing on his lips, the events earlier pushed at the back of his mind as he tried to focus on what it is that is before him. He had to attend to a lot of things, he cannot let himself to dwell on what had happened. After all, just like what the hufflepuff had said, there'll be a chance again. The possibility may be remote, but it wasn't necessarily zero. It may be hard for them to approach Conan and talk to him again, but, nothing will happen if he would let negativity to overwhelm him. He ad already done that before. He's not going to let it get into him again.

Ryuuji just nodded his head in affirmation as he pushed himself up gently while supporting the younger girl on his back. They had to walk to the castle and he was quite sure of the possibility of them getting weird looks from the other students. "You're actually quite light Ai-chan....Are you eating properly?" He raised the said question as he tried to adjust the girl on his back into a safer and more comfortable position. It would be the first time that he carried someone, and honestly, it was actually quite weird. Not that he would mind it though, after all, it was her. "Tell me if you feel uncomfortable alright?" He added before he proceed on his way towards the safety of the castle.
