Mary Lou smiled at Wendall as he asked her if she wanted to dance and nodded. "Oh, yes that would be lovely," she said, looking around as she noted a couple of other people were now on the dance floor as well. It would be nice to dance with Wendall, she knew how to do that a little bit at least, it was the kind of thing she had done quite a bit of when she was younger, though she wasn't sure how well it would go, given the both of them were quite clumsy. Still, she was willing to give it a try. "Have you danced before?"

Wendall smiled and led Mary Lou over towards the dance floor and away from the spot by the table they'd been standing at for the rest of the evening. "Erm, not really. Not unless you count this is dancing," Wendall let go of Mary Lou for a moment to do an awkward little dance on the spot, moving his arms in time with the music but not daring to move his feet too. Knowing his luck it wouldn't end well if he got all his limbs involved at the same time. He also didn't want Mary Lou to think that he could dance properly and give her false hope that he'd be able to keep up with her. He'd never seen her dance either, but he was pretty sure someone like Mary Lou would be very good at dancing. "Do you dance?" he asked, quickly stopping his own little jiggle in the middle of the hall before too many people glanced in their direction.

"Aah, have been taught to dance, but it has been a bit of time," she said, looking around and laughing at him lightly as he showed her a little jig. Some people might have found it silly, but she thought it was quite endearing. To be fair, she thought most of what he does was endearing, because he was such a fun and nice person to be around. She felt bad that she had ever thought anything else of him, that he would think to hurt her just didn't make sense now that she thought about it. "If we do it together, maybe it will be better," she said, holding her hands out to him so that he could move further out into the dance floor like she wanted. Dancing on the side would only make them more noticeable she thought.
