Vicxen Dodge loved her free time. It was hard being a college student. She used to think politics were so simple. Oh boy was she wrong. She did not understand how people could think of it as a game. Lives were at stake, and she did not know how some people lived with themselves. After the Minister of Magic stepped down, there was chaos, a good chaos. The air smelled different. The air smelled like change. There were several candidates, and she was looking at each one very closely. She was not going to put her hope in the wrong person.

It reminded her of Victor. How could he just abandon his whole entire life? Magic was all that Viccy knew. She could never fully immerse herself into the muggle world. She was not that strong. She was still living off of her brother, still. It was like she had never left Beauxbatons. It was like she was stuck in the same position. She adjusted her bag on her shoulder, and she tightened her grip on her books. She was reading and taking notes, while walking in a crowded area. She was dressed warm, so it did not matter to her. She had a huge project due. Well, she had gotten an extension because her professor has a fancy for her. She felt bad for using that to her advantage. In a way, that was how politics worked. Building new relationships was not easy. It was extremely difficult actually, not for Viccy, but it was for other people.

Vicxen had a warm smile that could melt any frozen heart. Her lips moved just right, and she showed as much sincerity as she could muster in her eyes. But her stride was pure gold. It was like that of a model, elegant and confident. She made the best of what she had. She did not need expensive clothes to look classy. Her mother wasn't the prettiest woman, but it was the heart that really mattered to her. There was one thing that males would not shut up about, it was her eyes. Her eyes were her only bad quality. They did not sparkle, and they rarely showed emotion. It hadn't always been like that. Something happened that made the gleam in her eyes go away. For such a pretty light brown, her eyes were dull. It was like she did not shed enough tears. But where were tears going to get her?

Viccy increased her speed. She needed to finish this and get home. She was hungry too. Ugh. College was not a fun as Victor made it sound. She was not partying and laughing as much as she wished she was.

Carter was in his best robes and he was really doing the rounds. Answering questions and just generally chatting with the people had been nerve-wracking the first hour or so, but now, a few hours in, Carter thought he was making some decent progress. So far he had managed to sway a couple of people, at least he thought he had, but he would never really know until the day of the voting. He was getting progressively nervous, but he refused to allow that to get to him. If anything, it was really making him more determined to win this. If it was the last thing he did, he was determined to get himself noticed. A quiet campaign was not an option for him, he was throwing out the books on this and doing his own thing. His managers had warned him that it could be dangerous, but he knew he was fine, there were aurors all over the place, nothing was going to happen to him here. He was more then confident of that at least. After all, if he wasn't confident, there was no way he could honestly say that he only wanted to reinvent the aurors and not actually make sure they were doing there jobs, he knew they were, as did everyone, he just thought that maybe they should do more and if he made Minister, he would be ensuring that they had the appropriate resources to do what needed to be done.

Deciding that he needed a little break, Carter decided to go for a little walk around Bright stone. As it was the Holidays now, there were a lot of young school children around and a lot of young adults too who would be eligible to vote. At times like these Carter always ensured that he looked his best and was polite and courteous at all times. Even if someone were to say something against him, he would just smile, incline his head and tell them that they were of course entitled to their own opinion, but would their candidate condone such rudeness? Most of the time they just hung their heads. It was something else Carter despised, pretense, assumptions and bullsh*t. It was the kind of thing he usually tried to stay away from, though in Politic's he knew it was everywhere. Which he supposed wasn't actually too much of a bad thing. However it was as he was about to turn around and go back that he noticed a woman who appeared to be doing her best to get out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the crowd. Knowing what it was like to feel crowded, Carter immediately walked over to her and sort of pulled her aside. Getting her out of the majority, and into the lesser compacted part of the street. He immediately stepped away from her and smiled. "Sorry about that, I thought you looked extremely uncomfortable." He gestured to the crowd. "If you wait a few moments, I believe there will be more room for you to continue." He was about to leave her alone, when he took notice of the books she was carrying. "Oh, are you a Political Sciences Major?"

Vicxen was hating Middle Eastern law. The Middle East had so many problems, but they were admirable. They had faith. They had a blind faith that was admirable. Viccy could be talked out of things given good reason, but She found, based on her reading, They weren't swayed easily. In a land full of chaos and distress, their religion was what They stood on for hope.

Viccy was moved to the side. She stumbled from the suddenness of the action, but She quickly found her balance. She looked at the person worried for her safety. Carter Kaster. She had a confused look on her face. However, She mumbled a quick "thank you" before she fixed her posture. They were about to part ways when he asked about her major. She looked at him and smiled. "Yes, I am. I'm in third year of college," She informed him. She scanned Carter not so discreetly. He was dressed his best, so he must have been doing something near here. She giggled. Wow.

Carter looked out at the crowd. There were a lot of people out and about today. Carter was happy about that as people meant progress really. Carter wasn't really a people person, but he could be when he was called to it. He was polite and respectable when ever the situation called for it. He had to thank his mother for that to be honest, she had always made sure that her children knew what they were doing at all times. The thought of being caught off guard literally terrified Carter, because he was like a fish out of water then, he needed a leg to stand on to enable himself to function. He liked to be in control. It was a trait of majority in his family. Carter smiled comfortingly at the woman as she appeared confused for a moment before smiling and answering his question. So she was a college student? That was very interesting. Carter had never gone to a muggle college, but he had thought about it. Regardless of what the wizarding world thought, muggle education was top notch and a lot of it could help in the further education of young wizards and witches, especially with regards to Buisness, Law and Teaching.

"How do you find the subject matter?" Carter was curious about what she was studying. He was interested in the Political Sciences, it was part of the reason he was in the Ministry, though his other passion was Law. Politics and Law did often go hand in hand, it was nothing new, he was just lucky to be involved in both aspects at the ministry. It was always fun to work with Laws and the like. "Sorry, I don't mean to be a nuisance, I am only curious about how you would describe your education in the muggle sphere."

Vicxen was a sociable person at school. While she attended, Beauxbatons, she was not very open to new people in her life. College was a time for her to change and remake herself. The muggle world was amazing! There was just so much that she could do without someone breathing down her back. However, there was an excessive amount of work. She had heard that in some places students committed suicide if they did not get in college. It was also very expensive. She did not understand why education was made so expensive. It only gave the rich and powerful more privilege, which was unfair. However, every society was like that. There were always people that had more say then others. The people that cared just have to lift their voices loud enough so that their demands could be heard and met.

She shrugged. "School is school, but I do find it quite interesting how similar muggles are to us, government wise of course. she answered sweetly. She listened to his next answer carefully. An answer was already starting to be formulated in her head. She shook her head and giggled. "You are not being a nuisance. Curiosity is a interesting thing," she said. She thought about how she was going to sum up the muggle college experience. She nodded when she had her answer. "In my opinion, the muggle school curriculum in extensive and sometimes overwhelming. But, with the proper motivation it is worth a lot in the long run." she stated.
