Jemima didn't usually celebrate much of Halloween. When she was younger, and still at home, they didn't usually bother because they didn't really live around other people, their home was in the middle of no where so how was she supposed to dress up and trick or treat with people? Not to mention the holiday wasn't really a big thing in Australia and it wasn't like her Dad was super caught up with all the magical and muggle traditions on either side, she was raised mostly by her mum and Cale. Well, Ofira was her mum for all intents and purposes, she didn't remember her mother, she'd died when Jem was born. She hadn't put a whole lot of effort into her costume because she didn't really see the point, but she had put a decent amount of effort and Uncle Hamish had helped her with the final details. She didn't know if he was going to be here tonight or not, but it would be interesting to see if he did show up at all. She remembered hearing stories about the time he'd come to Halloween as a Drunken Pirate. She assumed he wasn't actually drunk, but she would have been interested to know how that distinction was made if it was only in costume. She looked around, not seeing anyone particularly that she recognised because most people were dressed up and how was she supposed to pay enough attention to them to notice... she did of course notice both of her brothers, who increasingly liked to draw attention to themselves. Chrys, on the dance floor and covered in glitter and Flynn as a corpse. Was he with a Hag? Who was that Hag anyway? She didn't know any of Flynn's friends of course, because she tried to avoid both of her siblings wherever she could. She didn't need the reminder that she was related to them.
