Irene was in the Mungo's for her routine check up. Jacob wanted to come but had business to attend to. Quidditch business. She slowly ambled to her assigned healer when she felt pain. Stopping by the door, she gave out short breaths to control her contractions. She counted the minutes and they seemed to be getting closer. Knocking on the door, the woman went inside.
They were just about to start the routine check up when another contraction came through. She gripped the desk and barely managed to pull out her wand and quickly conjured a patronus to her husband. The healer called the others and prepped everything. Irene was hoping Jake would come immediately.

In the middle of quidditch practice, Jake noted the partial tangible energy and heard the message it delivered. Not all shocked by the news, Jake still rush to get to his wife's side. He dismissed his team for the rest of the day and kept his reasoning vague in case it was a false alarm. Jacob apparated a number of times before he made it to St. Mungos in New Zealand. Jake approached someone up at the front entrance, red in the face and heart beating particularly fast trying to get here in one piece. "Wife, umm, wife, Holland, uh, Irene," the man spoke a little disorganized. The witch miraculously made out the name and directed the wizard to Mrs. Holland's room. Jake rushed to her side, grabbing a hold of her hand as soon as he was shown to her room. "Irene, you're okay? I came as soon as I can. How's the baby?"

Irene had dozed off despite the pain when she felt someone held her hand. She opened her eyes to find her husband beside her. She smiled as she squeezed his hand. "Hey, wolf boy. Ready to be a dad?", she teased. She attempted to sit up when another contraction went through her body. She grabbed her sheets as she held her breath. Her breathing has become shallow as the pain interval seemed to closer. "Jake..", she called out to her husband although he was just there close to her. The baby felt like pushing inside her and she wondered how long it would be by then.

Jake cracked a smile, rolling his eyes in his playful ways. "Well yeah, you think I came down for you?" He joked, then instantly felt bad as he witness his poor wife endure the pain of labor. "Excuse me, is there something you can do for her?! Were not muggels here," Jake snapped at the nearest healer. The woman scowled at the man, and went attending to his wife. Jake didn't hear right, the witch explained that numbing the pain completely won't work. "Hey, hey, squeeze my hand, beat me up, do anything," Jake attempts his best at comforting her. He really should've read those pre-labor preparation pamphlets Irene gave him last month. He bend down by her side feeling completely useless while these contractions were happening.

Irene scowled at her husband but could not do more than that. The contractions were getting closer and she was trying her best to endure the pain that came with labor. She vaguely heard Jacob snapping at the healer and the couple was told that the pain would not entirely go away. Jacob was beside her, reassuring her in his own Jabo way. She mentally shook her head. Knowing Jacob, the man did not read the pamphlets that she gave him. Despite this, he was trying his best to be there for her. She squeezed his hand as she noticed a change. The contractions seemed stronger although it seemed that the pain came from two different places. The woman had a hunch on the reason but was not entirely sure. This started when she felt two different kicks in two different places. However, she just attributed this to one arm and one leg moving at the same time.

Suddenly, Irene had the urge to push. The thought occurred as another stronger contraction tore through her. She instinctively grabbed her husband by the hair as a scream involuntarily came out of her mouth.
"Jake! He's coming. She's coming.", she said through gritted teeth. Not having known the gender made the woman confused on how to address their child. All she knew was their child was coming and it was painful as hell.

Jacob felt her tight, bear-like grip almost ripped the hair right out of his skull. F*ucking hell, what gave him the right to put his sweet wife through this immense amount of pain. Jacob hissed, squeezing his eyes shut tight. "It's okay babe, push when you're ready. Healer, HEALER, get her something?! Anything!" Jake barked at the healer who was already attending to his wife. Another healer came in the room rushing pass him, Jacob opened his eyes to see the new healer in the room was giving something to Irene an open vial to drink. The small container held a green liquid substance inside. "What is that? What are you giving her?!" Jake demanded to know, the male healer administrating the green content requested that Jake calm his sh*t and let him do this job.

"Hey, I asked you a quest-," Jake was cut off and thrown back, hitting against the solid plain walls. The healer from before shook her head at the man with her wand pointing right at Jacob. He was bind, pinned against the wall unable to move from the healer's spell. The witch understand his concerns, but he really needed to calm the hell down. She wouldn't let him go unless Irene said so.

Irene felt her healer approach. In the background, Jake's booming voice filled the room. She wanted to laugh at his reaction because no matter how many times they had discussed this predicament, countless times her husband assured her that he would be calm, the opposite happened instead. A second healer, a man, approached her and gave her something green, she could not recall the name but she was already informed what this was when she had her last consultation. Not Jacob, though. He was being Jacob actually and had not paid attention to that tiny detail. Thus the result of Jake's hysterical behavior. She turned to the side just as he slammed against the wall as a result of being binded by her healer. The older woman looked at her, waiting for instructions whether to let Jake go or not. Sighing, she nodded just as another strong urge to push pierced her. The healers began assisting her as they instructed Irene to give a single push. She took a deep breath, held Jake's hand tightly and pushed, stopping herself from crying but tears fell nonetheless. Another push and she really let herself scream this time until...

A tiny cry filled the room.

Jacob was released from his temporary prison, thanks to the order of Irene the healer let him go. Jake coughed, landing on his knees with his palms flat on the cool tiles. Jacob had the thought of transforming to his animagus form to give the healer a little fright. That thought was suddenly put on hold when he was rushing to her side again. "Remind me again to never do this again," Jake held onto her hand, giving her free range to break his hand if she needed to. Jake watched over his wife concern all visible in his face, Jake tries to comfort her in any way he can. Solace wasn't easy to provide when your wife crying and in pain, and you're worried out of your bloody mind. She screamed, Jake held on and then a tiny cry can be heard. The woman healer assisted Irene, used magic to get the infant clean up and bundle up handing the newborn to Jake. He was confused, Irene deserves to see the baby before he did. No, she was instructed to push again, and Jake stood there dumbfounded with a weeping infant in his hands.

Soon after the healer passed the child to Jacob, Irene felt the urge to push. She was not mistaken when she had the urge to push. She was getting tired but the desire to see her family especially Jake, assure him that everything would be alright and finally, they would be a family. Breathing deeply, she gave one glance to Jake and the infant and pushed again, her tears fell from her eyes. Another cry filled the room which made her fell back to her bed. She was breathing heavily as she gazed at the healers busy tending to the second child. She had yet to know their genders, nevertheless, she was happy that they were all okay. "Jake?", she whispered, asking for her husband with her eyes closed. She wanted to sleep because of exhaustion but still yearned for his closeness.

Another baby. If he heard correctly, Jake was listening to another baby cry along with his wife's faint whisper. Jake levels with her back to her side while he tries to sooth the small little human. "Sleep, rest baby," Jake leans over to kiss her lightly on her forehead. He moves to make himself comfortable on the armchair near her bed. He struggles a bit with positioning the infant until he found it was easier to use his elbows for support while he sat on the armchair. Two daughters the healer tells him and she inquires the name of the newborn twins. Jake wouldn't be able to tell her anything, he was still mildly shocked that he had twin daughters and wouldn't feel right naming them without Irene. "Sleep and will think of names when you wake up, right," Jake calmly rocks the baby to sleep with a bottle propped in their mouth, while the other attended by the healer. Two babies, twin girls. He couldn't believe it.

Irene fully closed her eyes at the feel of her husband's kiss on her forehead. The sound of his cooing over their babies lulled her to sleep. She was exhausted from the labor, at the same time happy about the bundles of joy that they brought to the world. Her family would be ecstatic when they hear the news.
After what felt like hours, Irene stirred to consciousness. Her body was still sore but her heart was looking for her family. She slowly opened her eyes and let them accustomed to her surroundings again. She slowly glanced to her side and found a big crib near her bed. She thought she was dreaming, apparently, she wasn't. She had indeed given birth, twin girls in fact. She looked to where her husband was and found him sound asleep close to her pillow. The man was tired as well and Irene could never be more thankful for everything he had given her.
