Arianna sighed, as she looked at her house, all covered in snow. Even though she loved her busy life in New Zealand, she always looked forward to coming home, especially since she hadn't stayed for very long last holidays. She smiled over at her mom, before pulling her gloves on and stepping out of the car. Ari was worried about her mother. She had looked strained and tired ever since she'd picked her up that morning, and hadn't been very talkative. Deciding to worry about it tomorrow, when she'd had some sleep, Ari crunched across the frozen driveway, checking the thermometre as she passed it. -32 degrees it read. Ari opened the door and stepped inside the warm, familiar smelling house.
The first Ari saw was her sister sitting at the bottom of the stairs. "Clare!" Ari said, giving her half-sister a big hug. Pulling back, she looked at her sister's face "What's wrong?" Ari asked, when she saw her solemn expression.
