Sybil liked school dances even if she wasn't sure what to do when she got there. At least with the Yule Ball there were lots of things to do. She had considered trying to ice skate but she wasn't very good at it and she didn't need the whole school to know that. So instead she found her way to the large Christmas tree with its big pile of presents. She knew they were allowed to take one but she felt a lot of pressure to try and pick the right one. Tentatively she reached out and picked up a smaller box wrapped in shiny red paper. Sybil gave it a gentle shake and she swore the box seemed empty. She gave it another quick shake to try and figure out what could possibly be inside. Feathers?

Kanako didn't know why she'd bothered coming to the yule ball. Maybe she secretly hoped she'd make friends or something. It didn't matter, it would be better than staying in her dorm bored out of her mind. She'd wandered around the hall, looking at everything with a skeptical look. No one really stood out to her but as she came across the Christmas tree she noticed her dorm mate Sybil. Kanako approached, looking at the girl and the present box. She tilted her head, watching. "Trying to find the best one?" Kanako asked, wondering if she could join in if that was the case.

Sybil felt like she got caught doing something she wasn't supposed to as her roommate joined her by the tree. She held the present to her chest and let out an awkward laugh. "Kind of." she admitted a bit sheepishly. "I was hoping to find something good but I can't even tell if there's something in this one at all." she explained and held out the box so Kanako could see for herself.
