What a day!

[Angus Hooper]

Angus strolled out of the castle on the cold winters morning, he was wrapped up in a thick black coat, two jumpers, his favourite winter trousers, gloves, a Ravenclaw hat and warm trainers. Angus loved the cold, although he picked up infections very easily from it. So he'd taken a random book from his bag and to avoid all the commotion that had appeared in the common room as all the students were returning from their holidays for the new school year, and gone outside. He found a tree he could sit under, looking around he saw no one and approached it.

It's large branches spread out over the ground, none of the snow could get under it, but was all piled on top. So Angus sat down and began to read "The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection" by Quentin Trimble". He was keen to learn some of the spells to defend himself from the dark evil he'd been told about, he aimed to become an Auror later on in his life and defeat the evil that faced the wizarding world.

"I wonder what some of the Death Eaters are doing right now?." Angus placed down his book and began to feel comfortable with his back to the tree, as he rested his head against it, he muttered to himself: "Good thing there's no stupid Slytherin around to start bragging how evil they are"

 

[Matthew Narco]

Matt looked at Angus, he was high up in the tree, taking in the scenery when Angus sat at the bottom of the tree. Matt coughed, "What are you reading?" Matt climbed lower so he could get a better look at the book. "The Dark Forces: A guide to Protection. Wait a second, why would you be studying when classes have even started?"

Angus was moderately suprised by Matthews sudden appearence. But replied to his question all the same. "A little early knowledge won't hurt anyone". Well not me at least" he thought to himself, thinking about his dream of being an auror fighting the Death Eaters.

 

[Matthew Narco]

Matthew hopped out of the tree, "Hmm... I guess if you want to read in your free time, that's cool." Matt began to walk away, but then turned around. "What's your name? I already know your a Ravenclaw because your reading for fun."

 

[Angus Hooper]

Angus took this as a compliment "My names Angus Hooper, and you are?". He watched Matts reaction, trying to read him.

 

[Matthew Narco]

"I'm Matt, I'm in Hufflepuff, Encantado!" Matt stuck out his hand, waiting to see if the other boy would shake it.

 

[Angus Hooper]

Angus lookedup at the hand, then after a quick second, shook it with a kind smile on his face. "Nice to meet you Matt".

 

[Matthew Narco]

"Well I better get going, I need to explore the grounds more. Who knows, maybe I'll find a secret passage." Nick began to walk away, "Bye Angus!"

 

[Angus Hooper]

Angus called out to Matthew before he left; "Bye Matt, see you around sometime".

The Angus returned to his book before walking off back to the common room 10 minutes later. "What a day that was, a new friend and some good knowledge of spells". He thought.
