Wednesday wished she was able to get out more, but with all the classes, the assignments, and making her dorm her own, Wednesday barely wondered aimlessly. Though as the end of yet another week came, Wednesday decided that it had to change.

Walking outside and tilting her face towards the sky feeling the soft Autumn sun glow upon her face, Wednesday couldn't help but smile. How she loved the outdoors. Finding a nice spot by the lake, Wednesday rolled up her ripped jeans and stuck her legs into the water. Her legs so pale that the water made them look like they were glowing. Kicking her legs as a bit of water splashed about, she let out a laugh.

Though soon she felt rather lonely. Deciding to look around and watch as the people walked about. Wednesday always did loved to observe. It was almost more amusing when she watched a bunch of first years running about the lawn playing a game of tag as well as a few couples walking about holding hands. Rolling her eyes, as she turned to look at the lake.

Abby walked silently over to the lakeside. It was conforting that there was water at this school. Back at home, on the island there was a lake right outside her window, which she loved. The lakeside seemed tranquil, a nice contrast to the rowdy corridors. Abby loved being outdoors, no-one told her what to say, what to do. She loved being at this school; she didn't have to be the daughter of the Edwards's, she could be just Abby. Abby didn't miss all the maids and people that worked on the island, she hated that life. Not getting to play with anyone her own age.

The lake's currents blew in the Autumn breeze, as Abby drew nearer. Her uniform dress was as clean as usual, this time a pale blue one with little enbroided flowers. Abby had to wear dresses; it was part of a tradition back home.

Abby spotted a girl, and in need of company, walked up to her. Abby hardly ever talked to people, she had never felt the need to 'chat' about anything. Abby silently danced over to the girl, and sat down beside her. "Hallo, yew mind ef I join yew?" she asked politely. Her strange accent made her English sound odd, learning a new language had been hard for Abby.

Wednesday moved her feet in the water loving the feel of the cold water. Splashing a bit of water on her own jeans, Wednesday only could laugh. Yet all of a sudden she heard a girl's voice. Turning her head to see who it was, Wednesday noticed a girl that she had not meet before.

"Heya" Wednesday said brightly as she tried to figure out what the girl's accent was. Though she couldn't quite figure it out. So far Wednesday had heard so many accents. She loved them all too. Wednesday on the other hand only had the accent of a New Zealander which around here was nothing.

"Company would be nice" Wednesday smiling. She patted the ground next to her. "I'm Wednesday by the way" She said introducing herself.

Abby watched calmly as the girl moved her feet around in the cold water. She wondered if that would be cold for her, maybe, maybe not. Abby started to take of her shoes, big old-fashioned Mary-Janes. Each movement was graceful, as she pulled off the black shoes, and put them on the grass beside her.

Abby dipped her feet into the cool water, the freezing water sending a shiver down her spine. The other girl introduced herself. Wednsday. Abby blinked at the odd way she had said her name, casual. Odd for Abby, as she had gornw up in a totally different place.

"Edwards, Abbee." she said, looking curiously at the girl with her big blue eyes. She still had trouble pronouncing her name, Abby wasn't what people called her back home, her parents had called her Amaya, which meant 'night rain'. Abby had never been sure why she had been given an English name, but it didn't make much difference.

Wednesday glanced out of the corner of her eye as the girl took off her shoes and dipped her feet into the water. This girl was so graceful and looked rather proper, quite the opposite of Wednesday.

Though as Wednesday looked at the girl, Wednesday wondered if she had said something wrong. Maybe she should have introduced herself in a different matter maybe using her last name. Wondering if it made a difference, Wednesday just ran her fingers through her hair messing it up a bit on purpose of coarse.

"Nice to meet you Abby" Wednesday said brightly in her normal excited voice. Moving her feet a bit more in the water wondering if there were fish in this lake. "So what brings you outside today?" She asked.

Abby looked at Wednesday, and smiled kindly. Her soft features, framed by her hair made her look quite peacful. Abby could be evil if she wanted, but Wednesday seemed nice enough. Abby wondered if they would be friends. Friends. The word seemed strange, and forgen. Abby hadn't ever had friends. Only acquaintances and associates.

Abby thought Wednesday was strange. She wondered if Wednesday found her equally as odd. It seemed likely to Abby. The small girl felt her hair flutter in the breeze. It felt like little butterflies, the way it fluttered.

She looked thoughtful for a second, wondering why she had come in the first place. "Bored." she said simply, surprised at herself. She was never bored before, used to sitting for hours on end doing nothing. "And deh lake seemed... peacful." she added.

Wednesday was glad that Abby seemed nice enough. It was not often that Wednesday ran into someone she didn't care for, but it could happen in this huge school. Yet even with the thought of meeting people she didn't like, Wednesday didn't really meet people that she liked very often either. Really she didn't meet many people at all.

Leaning over a bit and feeling the temperature of her water with her wrists. That was always the place her mother had told her to test water. It still felt too cold to come in. Pity She thought as she craved a swim so much. Wednesday had never swam in a lake before. It had always been a pool. It wasn't lady like to swim in a lake and in the community she used to live in Lady like was the way to go. Too bad Wednesday never fit in there.

"Yeah it can get boring around here" Wednesday agreed. "And I guess the lake is peaceful. I wish it was warm enough to go swimming in though. I've never been allowed to swim in a lake and I really want to" Wednesday said the excitment filling her voice.

Sern had been walking by the lake when he saw the two girls, but they seemed to be having their own talk so left them be. He made his down along in his swimmers and looked out over the water.
He whispered something that definitely not English and didn't sound like any language heard before and the lake almost shimmered. And with that he launched himself into it, breaking the icy surface and diving deep underneath the surface.

Just as if it was the perfect moment, Wednesday mentioning swimming in the lake and someone jumped right into the lake water. "Wicked" she said smiling brightly as she tried to see the person who had jumped in. So tempted herself to take a dip as well.

"Would you go swimming right now?" Wednesday asked Abby randomly not wanting to take the dive if Abby wasn't going to.

Sern came back to the surface to see one of the girls tempted to come in, He gave her a slight smile from afar and dived back under the water. He spun and twisted and played beneath the waters surface for a while and wondered is she would come in.

Abby frowned in puzzlement, as Wednesday put her hands in the water. "Whut are yew doing?" she asked curiously. The lake seemed rather warm for Abby, lakes were usually quite cold, while the sea was warm.

Abby loved the sea, the waves that enveloped her when she went under. She watched the small currents of the lake, imagining her lake, the little cove on the other side that no-one knew about. Her safe haven. Here her dorm room, or the forest was her hiding place. What she had to hide from, Abby would never know.

Abby smiled at Wednesday's exited voice. She wondered if the girl was always this exited. She nodded, even though the school didn't seem remotely boring, quite the oppisite! She jumped as a boy ran to the lake and jumped in. A small squeak emitted out of Abby's mouth, as the water dripped on her. "Hay!" she said, giggling. "Never ben swimming in a lake?" she said, amazed. "Waw." she murmered.

Abby cocked her head onto one side, like an owl, and thought for a moment. What a strange question, she thought. Abby stood up, and walked over to the shallower part of the lake. She walked in, her bare feet pushing little stones around as she walked. The hem of her blue dress got wet. Abby smiled, and lowered herself into the water. The water was now up to her waist, She walked over to Wednesday, and splashed her.

"The answer is yes." she said with a giggle.

Wednesday smiled widely as Abby asked what she was doing. "Just checking the temperature of the water" She explaned though she couldn't help but wonder if her actions seemed odd. Though it didn't really seem to matter too much.

As Abby walked into the water, Wednesday was more than surprised. To her Wednesday didn't seem the type, but it wasn't always great to be surprised. Backing up a bit as Abby splashed some water in her direction, thought laughing the whole time.

"Wonderful" Wednesday said pulling down her jeans legs and looking at her outfit. At least she wasnt' wearing white. Taking a running start, Wednesday ran towards the lake and did a very messy cannon ball creating a rather large splash.

Coming to the surface she couldn't help but feel rather chilly in the air. It didnt' matter this was all so much fun. "Swimming in the Autumn. Never thought it would happen" she said

Sern saw from beneath the water a the other girl enter the water with giggles but decided to hang out in the deeper waters abit. He dives deep beneath the water to see a large serpent make is way below him it turned its head to look at him and snarl. But as their eyes connected it decided against it and continued along its way.

When he noticed both of them where in the water he let out a soft laugh that traveled to them through the water almost as music. He then launched himself 5ft out of the water spiraling with another short laugh before diving back deep beneath the water.

Wednesday couldn't help but glance over at the boy who had jumped in first. He was really the reason that Wednesday was brave enough to go in. She didn't want to be the first one in and now she could actually go swimming in a lake. Going under the water for a moment, she opened her eyes. The lake was so much murkier than a pool and the water didnt' burn her eyes as much as the pool water had.

Coming back up to the surface, Wednesday just continued to tread water which was basically her only swimming ability. Basically she could only tread water and doggy paddle which seemed to let her survive all her pool parties in the past. Though she hoped someday to be able to learn to swim better.

Abby laughed as Wednesday cannonballed into the water. She wondered if she should try that sometime. Now, thanks to Wednesday, she was soaking wet. Abby wondered how it would be possible to swim in jeans, wouldn't it be unconfortable? Abby had always swam wearing dresses, it was pretty much the only type of clothes she was allowed to wear. Shorts? Nope. Tights? Only under her dress.

She looked at the boy who had dived in, and gasped as flew out of the water. "Showoff." she smirked, wading towards where he was. Soon the water got too deep for her to touch the bottom, so she pushed off with ehr feet, and swam through the water. Abby was a very fast swimmer, she spent all her free time swimming in some place or another.

(I've gotta go now, if I don't get off there shall be a mutiny! Be on tomorrow, laters!)

Sern noticed the one treading water and thought Ah she mustn't be able to swim well..
His Head broke the surface and he watch her with an undecided look as he wondered whether to do something or not... He finally decided to stop being a lonely loser and be more social. After diving and swimming around the girl a few times he came up in font of her. "how long can you hold your breath?" he asked her gently as his stormy eyes fixed on her unblinking.

Wednesday let out a small laugh when Abby called the boy a show off, though Wednesday was impressed. Maybe someday she would be able to do that. First she would have to master the breast stroke or whatever that one swim was.

Though as the boy came closwer Wednesday smiled. "I've never tried" She said feelign a bit lame that she had never tried to hold her breath. It had never occured to her to try. "We can have a contest and I can see" She said smiling as she continued to tread water surprised at how heavy jeans were to swim in.

He looked a her for a moment and a slight smile crossed his face as he said "It wont be far competition but if you can hold you breath long enough I can take you somewhere special" his eyes gleamed as he said the last part.

Excitement filling her eyes at the idea of somewhere special almost like a secret place. Looking over at Abby for a moment then back at Sern. "Sounds good to me" she said smiling brightly as she hoped she could hold her breath long enough. "How far though?" She asked hoping it wasn't too far. Even so Wednesday would try. It was like an adventure.

"not to far" he said and he looked at her for a moment, "Just deep...So you go under and ill count and see how long you can go for?" then he looked at himself in disbelief. He sent out his wand and placed the bubblehead charm over the both of us. A bubble like film appeared in front of our mouths

"well that solved that...now hold on tight" he gestured her to hang on to his back.

Wednesday nodded as Sern said it wasn't going to be too far. Thank goodnessf Wednesday thought. Though when Sern took out his wand she was rather confused. The look might have appeared on her face.

He had said that it was solved. Wednesday being the trusting girl believe that he had done something to make sure it was ok. Looking back at Abby for a moment wondering if it was mean to leave her alone for a bit. Flashing her a smile hoping that she would understand. Wednesday would be back of coarse.

Though swimming over to him a bit she held onto his back gently "I can't swim that great" Wednesday said just letting him know.

"Its ok...ill be doing the swimming" he then gave a warm smile that he'd never given before
and, once he had made sure she was hanging on, dove into the depths of the lake. as he swam deeper and deeper creatures of all sorts swam about but didn't even think to hurt them and after a while they came to a stone wall and he stopped

"Welcome To the lost city of the lake" he murmured as he came over the top of the wall and a beautiful city was laid out before them with sun rays lighting it from above. many odd creatures turned to face them ready to attack but as they saw sern and when he said something that clearly wasn't English, they lowered their guard and let them pass.
"what do you think?" he asked to her with a smile

With that one warm smile that Sern had given her, Wednesday knew that she would be ok. "Ok then" She said making sure she was holding on tight enough but not too tight. She didn't want to hurt him. Holding her breath out of habit more than need, Wednesday felt them dive under the water.

As they went deeper the water grew colder and colder. Wishing she could rub her arms in attempt to stay warm, knowing that she didn't want to let go of Sern. Not now at least.

Though as they arrived, Wednesday mouth fell open. Remembering that she was underwater she closed it not realizing that she really didnt' have to. "Wow" she muttered not expecting something like this to be in the lake that she had watched for so long.

Looking at everything around her, even the creatures that Wednesday did not know, she was in utter shock. "Wow" She managed to say. though she didn't really want to speak much. The whole fact of talking under water freaked her out.

"I found this by accident when I was trailing my friend here"he waved over to a 10ft long sea serpent like animal swirling through the water. He then noticed she was cold and giving a moments hesitation held his arms around her to give her some warmth then sending a small warming charm over her to keep her temperature normal. one he let go his cheeks reddened at he looked out over the lost city.
"I thought you would like to see this..." he said softly
