Katheryn rolled over in the hotel bed with a groan as her phone buzzed for the twelfth time in the last thirty minutes. She briefly registered the name of her manager on the screen before hitting the ignore button. She registered the time on the screen and let out another groan. It was almost noon. Kat couldn't remember the last time she slept in until noon as she normally rises with the sun. The redhead was very much a morning person. She could only blame the late rising on the amount of alcohol she had consumed the night before. In fact, most of the night- and morning- was a complete blur, but that's what you got for spending New Year in Las Vegas.

The actress put her phone down and rolled over in the bed, putting her head on her fiance's chest and wrapped her arms around him. It was hard to believe he proposed to her two years ago. Kat loved Bas, and they were very happy with each other and their relationship, but neither one was in a rush to get married. The redhead knew that the press and her family would make it in to a circus, and that wasn't something she was excited about. Katheryn's phone buzzed once more, but she ignored it. Instead, she leaned up and kissed Sebastian on his jaw. "I think it's time to wake up." she whispered in his ear.

The words roused Sebastian from sleep, the feel of his fiance on his chest making him just want to snuggle in more and continue to remain in bed. This was really the way to start the new year. In a bed with the love of his life in Vegas. Making an effort to open his eyes, the man was grateful that one of them, Kat probably, had had the foresight to tightly close the curtains before they'd ended up in bed. His eyes drifted open and closed several times as he moved his arm from behind his head to wrap around Kathryn's back. Each time, he took in the room a little more. The clothes and papers strewn everywhere, the bottles of champagne and the glasses, a band on his wrist. Images kept popping into his head from their adventures last night. Las Vegas had proven to be every bit as fun as their friends had told them it would be.

A chuckle escaped his lips, his voice even more deep than usual and gravelly. "I think I'm still drunk" he responded with another laugh. His eyes drifted closed again as his fingers rubbed up and down her back. "Did we ride a roller coaster yesterday?" he asked, an image of them yelling and looking out at the Vegas skyline popping into his head. "What is that buzzing? Make. It. Stop" he groaned each word, the sound as loud as a jackhammer in his head.

The corners of her mouth turned upwards as Sebastian said he was still drunk from their night before. In all honesty, she probably was a little bit too. The details and course of events was a bit hazy in her mind this morning. She remembered the shots they had taken around midnight, but that was the last clear image in her head. The redhead snuggled a little closer in to her fiance as he wrapped his arms around her. She couldn't help but grin at Bas as he asked about a roller coaster. "I think I remember that. It was in a hotel, right?" she said, very small flashes coming back to her. The redhead knew that she had really enjoyed herself last night by the severity of the throbbing in her head. She really needed a glass of water.

Kat's phone buzzed again as Bas groaned. The actress couldn't help but smile as she quickly rectified the source of his distress by swiping the screen and answering the call. "Hello?" she said, trying not to appear as if she had spent her entire night drinking like a fish. It was her manager on the other end of the call, telling her to check her emails immediately. Apparently, a story was being circulated, claiming that the actress had wed her longtime boyfriend in the wee hours of the morning. Supposedly, there was a video to support the claims. Kat bit her lip. She didn't really recall that, but she didn't recall much of anything. "I'll check it and call you back." she promised, before hanging up without so much as a goodbye. "That was Marsha. She says we might have gotten married last night. Remember anything like that?" she asked without preamble. "She says someone got it on video." Kat said as she began to scroll through her emails.

Sebastian shrugged his shoulders, an awkward gesture considering he was still laying on the bed and Kathryn was tucked into his side. He knew that there was one on a roller coaster, and he'd been going on about it for most of the day, so it definitely made sense that it was that one. The man wished he could remember it more. He'd been so eager to get on that coaster, and now it was possible that he had done so with no memory of it to take with him. That was a bummer. The man allowed himself to shut his eyes once more as he listened to Kat's half of the conversation. She didn't say much, though he could hear the person on the other end, her manager no doubt, practically shouting something. At least, it sounded like shouting to him, though really everything did at this point. He cracked an eye open as Kat hung up and immediately began talking to him, his second eye popping open as she continued.

He looked at her as if she'd grown an extra head for a few seconds. "Oh, is this anything like that last time when you'd gone to Russia to adopt a child?" he rolled his eyes at what was surely just the latest rumor spread about Kathryn Kingsley. The poor woman got it on both ends, in the muggle world for her acting and in the magical world for having a brother who was Minister of Magic. She never got a break. "Believe me, Ms. Kingsley, when we get married, you won't ever be able to forget it" he added, his eyebrows wiggling up and down before he planted a kiss on her cheek and then moved down to her neck in the hopes of distracting her from her phone. They only had another day together before they'd need to head back to the real world. Forgetting silly things like roller coasters was one thing, but it was impossible that they'd both forget having gotten married. "If you want to though, we are in Vegas" he murmured as he briefly broke from kissing her.

Katheryn groaned as Bas reminded her of the rumor of adopting a baby. Some of the tabloids had gotten particularly nasty with that rumor, saying horrible things about her. "Let's hope so." she replied. Kat tried to keep as much of her life and relationship private, but it was difficult when you had notoriety almost everywhere you went. In fact, the redhead had not even used her real name when checking in to this hotel to try to keep some privacy. It must not have worked if a video of her and Bas ended up online. Katheryn smiled lovingly at Sebastian as he teased her slightly and kissed her lightly. She rolled her blue eyes at him, trying to remain focused on what she was doing. Bas still gave her butterflies in her stomach when he kissed her like that. It was difficult to resist him.

"You know I would marry you in a hour if that's what you wanted, but Vegas isn't where I imagined us getting married." Katheryn admitted to Bas. She had found the email with the link to the video. She clicked on it, and held her phone out so Bas could watch with her. The video was grainy, obviously taken from far away. The pair was clearly intoxicated, but it did look like a wedding ceremony in a quaint little chapel that featured Kat and Bas. When the video ended, Kat wasn't sure what to say. She was stunned. It wasn't at all how she would have ever imagined herself getting married. She hadn't wanted a big wedding, but she had wanted to remember her wedding. "I think we got married." she said, trying to remain calm even though she was panicking a little on the inside.

Sebastian sighed as he stopped what he was doing. He knew that they both wanted to get married right, inviting their close family and friends and when they both managed to get a good chunk of time to actually enjoy being newlyweds together. The truth was that they were so busy these days that most of their together moments were spent like this, in bed on their off-days. Snuggling in closer so he could see the video, Sebastian recognized them right away. This was a video of them in the clothes now strewn around the floor. He watched as they held hands, murmuring words before a man holding a book before kissing. Sebastian was shocked into silence.

He was up quickly, knowing that there'd have to be some kind of paperwork if this was true. He tripped over the quilt as he headed for the table that was covered in papers. "Your father is going to kill me. So is your sister. So is my gran" Sebastian panicked a little more with each person he mentioned, his hands skimming through the papers. On the very top was their hotel paperwork, receipts from the roller coaster, a few chips from a casino. And then, there at the very bottom of the pile was... "We really did it" he said slowly, shock firmly taking hold of him as he held the thick paper up and slowly turned around to look at Kat. He held it out to her, hoping she'd recognize it as a fake. Sebastian had to sit down, and he found a seat at the edge of the bed, his knees unable to hold him up any longer. The man let out a deep breath.
