Leaving Adira at the Poison Ater for an hour Andrew apparated at the door of Dervish's apartment and knocked twice. They had an hour before Dervish would be attending to his kid and Andrew wanted to make the most of it like all the other times. He could not thank Dervish enough for being Andrew's mentor and giving him lessons so he could be done with his training as soon as possible and get into doing some real work. It was true what Dervish had said, the ones who trained them were no good to do anything else and it was because of that that it took them loads of time.

He wondered curiously what he would be taught today or would they just continue with what they had been doing last lesson. It was these lessons and time he spent with Adira that was most interesting in his life because although he had a dream job he knew everyday he would be saving more muggle lovers and muggle borns which did not please him in the least. He waited to be invited in and wondered how Dervish managed to take care of his kid with no woman in his life. No matter how he would love his kids he would always want Adira or someone else to baby sit the little monsters that children were.

Dervish tidied up his work in the library. It wasn't actually big enough to be a library but he didn't know what else to call it. It was just a room full of books after all. Dervish heard someone knock at the door and looked at the time. Time definitely goes quickly when you're distracted.

Dervish walked down the stairs to the front door and opened it for Andrew to walk in. "Come on in, Andrew." He stood aside and went into the kitchen. "Want a drink before we start??" Derv knew that drinks could waste time but a glass of water always made him find it easier to concentrate so he offered every time. Even if it meant they had to drink and train at the same time. It was better than not concentrating. "Are there any spells you want to learn?? Or shall we start something else??" He remembered Andrew saying that he read a lot. Books had been where Dervish had learnt about most of the useful spells he knew so perhaps Andrew had seen something.

Andrew walked into Dervish's apartment with which he had become familiar now. It was very much like his own but Andrew did not like living in an apartment. He was changing a few things in his late mother's manor that had been passed down the wizarding family he belonged to but he wasn't going to live in there until he married Adira. Andrew nodded because he had been feeling a little thirsty from having talked to patients all afternoon and not taking any water. "Water please"

Andrew had been going through a few books he had found in the manor's library that had been written in secret and had only few copies published but he hadn't found anything he hadn't read else where. "We can start something else" he told Dervish. He did want to learn more spells but he had a good part of the library that he wanted to go through before and with the current work load at the hospital and helping Adira run the Poison Ater in the evenings, he was finding it hard to find time for books.

Dervish got two glasses of water then walked Andrew into the living room where they were going to practise. With a wave of his wand, Dervish moved all the furniture to the sides of the room so they had enough space. He didn't care if anything got broken in the process of them practising because he could easily fix everything within a few seconds. This was going to be useful for the spell he was thinking of. Andrew had enough talent for it so he had hope that it could work.

"How about Sectumsempra??" There was no way Dervish was going to teach Andrew dark magic that the boy didn't want to learn. Nobody could perform dark magic if they didn't want to. Your heart had to be in it and most people didn't want to use dark magic so they couldn't. "It's a spell that rips apart the target, whether that object is animate or inanimate. It makes no difference really, same effect. Only difference is that one will make you a murderer and the other will make you a vandal."

Andrew thanked Dervish as he took the glass of water and followed him to the living room. He watched as in seconds Dervish made space by moving the furniture away and he wondered what they would do today. He finished his water in three big gulps and his head already felt a lot clearer and ready for focus. Andrew heard as Dervish suggested to work on Sectumsempra. Andrew had heard of this Dark Spell and had read about it many times. Although he had tried it twice he had managed to do very little damage with it, all he was able to do was sometimes make a few veins bleed.

"Sure" he said satisfied that he would finally be trying the spell for real. Andrew wondered if he should start with inanimate objects or not, or maybe an animal. "What do you think my target should be?"he asked Dervish curiously. "Is there any spell that exists to reduce or stop the effects of Sectumsepra?" he added.

Dervish liked how Andrew asked questions about spells. It showed that he had the right enthusiasm to be a death eater. "Healing spells stop it but you'd have to get there very quickly to stop someone from bleeding to death or being shoved in Mungo's for a few weeks. This depends on whether you do the spell right though." Dervish took a step to the side and pointed at the sofa. "Try it on the sofa." Dervish just wanted to see how much work they were going to need to put into the spell. It had taken him a while to get the spell perfected and that was with the help of his father. He found it very useful now though.

Andrew heard Dervish's explanation on Sectumsempra about the healing spells stopping it but that being very tricky most of the times. He nodded and looked at the sofa that Dervish indicated to be the target. Taking a deep breath, he cleared his mind focusing clearly on the spell he was about to perform. Then waving his wand with the right wrist movements he said the incantation, loud and clear, all his focus on the spell. "Sectumsempra!" Within the next two seconds the sofa in front of them had turned into a destroyed state ripped out from all angles, somewhat like that. "That isn't good enough, is it?"he asked Dervish wondering if he could have turned it into ash?

Sorry for the late reply

Dervish watched Andrew cast the spell. It was pretty good for a first try (if that was his first try). He shook his head at Andrew's question. "It was good enough for someone only just learning the spell but it wouldn't work very well on a living thing." Dervish waved his wand to repair the sofa while his eyes were still on Andrew. "If you did a spell of that strength on a living thing they would only have a few scratches here and there. Not really enough to kill someone." If it was enough to kill someone then the sofa wouldn't have been shredded, it would be in pieces in a pile on the floor.

Dervish smiled slightly as he continued to speak. "Try again and this time, really focus. Imagine someone you really hate. And I don't mean someone who's pissed you off a bit at school. I mean someone who has made your life a living hell. Someone who you would love to see lying, lifeless in a ditch with maggots eating away at their flesh." Dervish paused for a second to give Andrew time to think of someone. Then he pointed at the sofa. "Now imagine them in the place of that sofa. It's not a sofa you're casting the spell on, it's them. Watch their skin rip apart as they bleed to death by your hands." In a way, Derv was interested to know who Andrew was thinking of but now was the time to teach the boy, not learn about his family and friends...and enemies.

Andrew watched Dervish as he explained how it had not been good. Andrew wasn't a beginner but he was acting like one and he was already starting to get mad at himself. He nodded as Dervish said to really focus and imagine someone he really hated.First he was going to take Brian Gethathorn but as his mentor added to not chose someone who had pissed him, he gave it a thought for a moment before choosing his god mother as his enemy.Yes, she had made his living life hell! He smirked as he imagined himself torturing Mallory, watching her bleed to death. Putting his full thought and concentration on the spell he once again waved his wand, this time concentrating to his maximum capacity and picturing Mallory's death and his enjoyment behind it he shouted "Sectumsempra." This time the sofa had a much more effect on it. It broke into two pieces in an instant and then slowly as if it was bleeding the cotton and the cloth started to pour out from it at very fast speed until it was all a heap of cotton, wood and cloth. He looked at Dervish wondering if he had done it correctly this time or whether he he could have done a better job and the sofa would turn into ash directly?

Dervish smiled and nodded his head. "Wow. You really hate someone." Derv thought Andrew had done a great job with the spell and started to get curious again. "Just out of curiosity, who were you thinking of??" He flicked his wand at the sofa and watched it slowly repair itself. Then he walked over to the corner of the room where there was a cage with a few rats in. He picked one out by it's tail and held it out to Andrew. "Your next target." Derv cast the imperius curse on the rat then placed it on the table so it wouldn't run off. "Casting the spell on the sofa is easy. To cast it on a living person, not only do you need to really mean it but you also need to have strength. Flesh is strong and to get deep enough to cause that much damage can use a lot of strength." Dervish remembered the first time he tried it. He was seventeen and he ended up on the floor because he didn't have enough energy. Of course, his father had forced him to try again the next day.

Andrew chuckled as Dervish said wow. It was wonderful how thinking about someone made you do crazy and brilliant stuff. He remembered how he had once killed someone because he was upset on himself for having hurt Adira. "My god mother. She's a b!tch, a fake"he told Dervish. Mallory had a big part on who had become but it had all started when she had hidden things from him, things he ought to know since he was born. Andrew nodded as he looked at the rat. After listening to Dervish's explanation on how it was going to be harder to cast this spell on living organisms, he once again concentrated putting all his focus on the destruction of the rat and remembered his hatred for Mallory once again. "Sectumsempra" he said pointing his wand at the rat. He felt much of his energy drain from his body and in the next second the rat's body had been blasted open revealing all his bleeding organs and the heart which stopped beating at that second. The effect on the rat was, he guessed correct but he felt a little drained and he thought that with practice that could be avoided. "Can I have some water please?"he asked Dervish. It seemed weak to ask for it and show his weakness but he wasn't going to try and boast infront of his mentor because what he had to learn, he had to learn and for that Dervish needed to see what exactly he knew and what was his capability as of this moment.

Dervish nodded when Andrew said it was his god mother he was thinking off. Derv had never had anyone he properly hated until he was in his early twenties. He'd always had a good family and hardly any friends so he'd never had anyone who he properly hated. He'd only ever hated muggles as he'd grown up with a death eater father and an undercover mother. The muggle hating had practically been branded into his genes since he was born and he'd been fine with going along with it because he believed it was true. He only had someone to truly hate when his father was murdered but he'd never found who the murderer was. He was left loathing a faceless person. One good thing was it had given him something to strengthen his dark magic with.

Derv watched Andrew cast the spell on the rat and was becoming very impressed with the strength of the boy's spells. He hadn't been a death eater for long and he was already casting advanced dark spells. He looked away from the rat and back to Andrew, noticing how he seemed a bit weakened. Derv put his hand on Andrew's shoulder in case the boy felt dizzy at all and called a glass of water to them. He handed the glass over to him with a smile. "You feeling okay??" Derv waved his wand so the room tidied itself and the furniture went back to normal. "I think that's enough for today. You should rest tonight. Don't overwork yourself. Practice when you feel more energetic." Dervish looked at the clock and realised he still had some time to spare. "You're very good, you know. I don't know many people your age who could perform spells like that and still be standing afterwards. In a way, I feel privileged to be the mentor of such a talented student." Derv thought a lot of his brother, Jerrod, but he wasn't even thinking Jerrod would be able to manage that sort of magic at seventeen and eighteen.

Andrew was feeling a little dizzy but nothing much. He was sure he could keep going. He accepted the glass of water and drank up. He was already feeling better. "Yeah" he said nodding as Dervish asked if he was feeling okay. He glanced at the clock on the wall, the time was up. He watched as Derv put all the furniture back in place. He nodded as Dervish said to not over work himself. He smiled happily as Dervish said he was very good. "Thanks Derv, I'm glad you're teaching me. I'm proud to be your student" he said with a grin. He put the glass in the kitchen and wondered what his mentor was going to do now. "You going to baby sit your kid now?"he asked him. He hoped that they could get a drink sometime when Dervish was free.

Dervish smiled when Andrew said he was glad to be Derv's student. The closest he'd had to a student in the past was his brother who wasn't allowed to do magic outside of school. It didn't work very well having to try and teach him in Brightstone when Jerrod was allowed outside the school. Derv nodded at Andrew's question. "Yeah. My mum looks after him while I'm at work and doing odd death eater jobs then I collect him from her house and bring him back here." He liked the arrangement he had with his mum but he felt like the only father - son time he could get was the weekends when he didn't work. And even then he sometimes had death eater duties to do or paperwork to get filled out. It was hard having to neglect his son so much but Rio seemed happy with it.

Andrew heard as Dervish explained how his mom took care of Rio when he was busy. "And what about your love life?"he asked Dervish. He knew it was a bit personal but he hoped dervish wouldn't mind. After all there wasn't much age difference between them and it wasn't exactly like a Professor student relationship here. "Interested in anyone that could marry you and take care of everything?." Even though Andrew loved Adira very much and couldn't think about breaking up with her but if something of that sort happened or she died he would find someone else especially if they had a kid, he wasn't the babysitter kind at all.

Dervish nodded at Andrew's question. He felt like a good friend with him even though they barely knew each other. And Andrew definitely had the talents needed to become a good death eater. "Yeah, there's someone. She's not what you'd expect though." Derv loved Melody but he had no idea why. She was amazingly beautiful and so kind to everyone. She was the complete opposite to him. The two of them evened each other out in a way. He'd only just told her about him being a death eater though. He'd started giving her a few basic lessons in defence as she would need it if she was going to move in with him but it was hard for her as she wouldn't hurt a fly. She seemed to be coping though. The two had agreed that she would move in when Derv thought she'd be capable of facing a death eater. He didn't know how soon that would be though.

Andrew smiled as Dervish said there was someone in his life but not what he would expect. Andrew understood that, not all Death Eaters could find Death Eater females like he had found Adira before any of them had joined the group. As long as the girl was accepting Dervish for who he was, that was all that was required to prove she loved him and wouldn't betray him. "I'm sure she'll be just find since you've found her" he said with a grin as he walked towards the door of the apartment. "I'll see you later then. Thanks for the training" he said as he stepped out of the door.
