The downside of having an unofficial club was the fact that they didn't have a clubroom or anything like that. But, maybe if he and Theo asked one of the Professors, they might set them up with something. Or maybe, they could work on turning this club into something a bit more official, and they could probably take part in the club fair and stuff like that. It was nice to think about, he supposed, but for now, they were stuck not having an official space and having to hold meetings wherever they could all fit. Which was why Miles decided to crowd everyone out onto the grounds for that meeting, it was pretty nice outside and maybe people would appreciate not having to crowd into the Student Commons or something.

He'd made sure to show up early after sending out the owls with the meeting location and time, extra anxious to see if anyone was actually going to show up. He hoped so, because he and Theo had gone through all the effort to invite some of the Quidditch captains along as well. It would have been pretty embarrassing if no one even bothered to show up, and honestly he'd feel bad for wasting everyone's time.

"Hey all," he gave an awkward smile, trying not to sound too nervous about talking in front of a large group of people, "Decided to make the most of the weather today. It's a pretty easy meeting and nicely some of our very own Quidditch captains have agreed to come along to speak to everyone today. I'll let them introduce themselves before we open the floor to questions. Ever wondered what it's like to be captain? Want to see if anyone will divulge any training tips or secrets? Got any questions about any of the recent games? How they pick the teams? Well, now's the time to ask."

Teddy had been surprised to get an invite from Miles to talk at the Unofficial Quidditch Club meeting but he was happy to support his teammate with his idea. Naturally, as the best captain of the lot Teddy decided to go first with his introduction once Miles finished, “Hi everyone!” he said, comfortable with public speaking from experience, “I’m Teddy Pirrip and I co-captain of the Gryffindor team, alongside Fraser who..." He looked around the room for Fraser. “...Might be here unless he’s bailed. But if I may be smug for just a moment, Gryffindor did just win the championship for the second year in a row. So ask away about that."

Evan hesitantly walked up to the others that were gathered for the 'Unofficial Quidditch Club'. He wasn't sure he could be any good at Quidditch, but he'd love to give it a try next year. Maybe he could ask for a broom for his birthday, which was coming up over the summer. He stuffed his hands into his robe's pockets and toed the ground a little, feeling awkward as the two Gryffindors started to talk.

"So, uh, what's Quidditch like?" Evan asked curiously. "Obviously it's fun - flying brooms has to be - but, like, is it very athletic? Does it require a lot of practice and dedication, or can it be just a fun side thing to do?"

Bailey had heard about the quidditch club but she had been surprised to get an invite to speak at their latest meeting. I guess they wanted to hear from captains and what it was like to actually lead a team. When she arrived, Teddy was already there which wasn't a surprise, he loved to talk and show off and having just won the cup there was plenty for him to show off about. She nodded at him, giving him a warm smile before she waited for her turn to speak. "Hi I'm Bailey, one of the co-captains for Hufflepuff along with Marley. Being captain is really fun, hard, but fun, anyone got any questions for me?"
