Jeremiah left the castle quietly in his Gryffindor robes. Usually, he wouldn't wear any sort of uniform, but he liked his Gryffindor robes, he wasn't sure why, they were just nice, when in this summer heat, which he wished would go away. Miah, being from Italy, was used to a much colder environment. He considered walking to the Rosebush, but decided that he would go to the Hogwarts Gardens instead, they were so much nicer, and he didn't want to run into another rabbit again, last time with Khione was bad enough, he didn't want a repeat of the occasion. He had considered bringing out his violin, but after some debate with himself, he decided that he wouldn't bring it out, he wanted to rest on the ground today, not stand around playing the violin. One thing that he was happy about was that he got resonable grades this term, his parents would expect higher, but he didn't really care about them right now. He was in his first year, it was not time to be worrying about grades, he would try harder next term. Miah crossed the bright green lawn quietly, glancing at a few students he passed, some still had glitter on their faces from the Yule Ball. Thankfully, Miah was able to get rid of most of the glitter and confetti from his hair and face before the night was out he didn't want to look like a disco globe for the rest of the week. He ran his finger through his hair, frowning when some more confetti and other various shiny things fluttered out of his hair. He took a shower this morning! Annoying!

When Jeremiah found his way amoungst the flowers, he smiled slightly, they were very pretty. It reminded him of home, but Hogwarts New Zealand gave him one thing his home never gave him. Friends. Sure, his friends confused him to no ending, especially his fellow male friend, Ryder, he acted very strangely, and Miah was sure that people wondered how they actually got on, considering they were so different. But Jeremiah couldn't quite explain it, he found Ryder... charming in a way. Khione was much the same, when Miah first met her, he was a little skeptical of her, and her... odd mannerisms, but now he could tolerate both eleven year olds rather well. He found them both interesting and slightly infuriating at the same time, he'd never had that feeling before. He stopped when he reached a pink flower, admittedly, pink was Miah's favourite colour, because it was such a happy colour, the colour you saw when the sun rose and set and the colour you saw when someone laughed so hard from happiness. Not the colour you saw when it was storming, raining or when someone was cold, like blue. He shook his head and picked the flower, playing with it and running it between his fingers for several minutes, before he ultimately decided that he would sit down on the soft ground. He lay stretched out in a star shape on the ground, his chest slowly going up and down, the flower in his hands. Now he was a little tired, but he didn't feel like sleeping, he felt a little lonely, a side effect of growing up virtually with no-one there and then being thrown into a place full of people.
