Lauren had never had an better break before than this one. She decided to put all her courage together, which was left of her and accept the offer from Aonghas her best friend and stay with him and his family. She had been so scared all the time that her father would find her, but that hadn't happen. She did got an letter from her sister Gabriella, she had told her that her parents were looking for her. And by now her parents would know she was at Hogwarts again. Lauren was scared to death that her fahter would just show up here. But he wasn't gonna risk that would he? Her bruises were still there, some over her arm and back but at least she didn't got new ones because the kindness she got from Aonghas his family was something she really had enjoyed. And now she really knew what she missed out on. Walking around the castle to clear her head an bit and perhaps run into Aonghas she looked at the students walking by. She felt alone and had the desire for more social contacts all of sudden, she tried to open up already last year to her quidditch team members, but it was hard. Lessons she didn't actually took except for Divination. Something in that interested her and the professor that teached it was something special, he was not staring at her but sometimes it seemed like he could just see right through her. That was perhaps just an feeling, but his lessons made her calm a bit. Something natural perhaps. With some book of divination in her hand she looked further looking to the ground for an moment, she was tired the nightmares were still there. She felt stupid sometimes when she woke up screaming and Aonghas or an other family member came to her. The blonde continued but wasn't really looking where she was going too and walked against someone, someone more tall than she was.

Professor Bryce Chamberlin recently, just recently, had a vision about one of his students. Lauren Davenport. He saw bruises and heard adults... Bryce did not like to think of it. He did not know if the vision was of the future or the past, but either way, he knew that he needed to do something to help. But, finding her in a big castle would be tough. So, for now, Bryce walked down to the kitchens and got a small bag of cookies so that he could snack on them when he would go back to his office. Bryce was not really watching where he was going as he turned a corner and bumped right against someone. He looked down and saw a head of blonde hair. Bryce also had a cookie in his mouth, which when he opened his mouth to say something, it went smashing to the floor. "I am terribly sorry!" Bryce said, a little fast. He blinked a couple of times to see just who it was. It was her! "Miss Davenport! I was meaning to talk to you," Bryce grinned, forgetting all about his dropped cookie. He could not believe his luck!

Lauren was not paying attention at all to where she was going, a bit distracted. She had missed try outs for Quidditch and had been too distracted with her home situation that she wasn't getting the position of beater anymore. She was a bit sad at first, but since Aonghas had stopped she didn't knew her teammembers at all and perhaps it was for the better. She could focus on escaping her parents and trying to enjoy life and build something. And that was not an easy task, she had to tell the truth to someone else and seek help. But where to start? Gabriella her sister wanted to help ofcourse. That was something to keep in mind. But Lauren was still a bit mad, at her sister for not helping her ever. When she bumped into someone she spotted her divinations professor. And she dropped the book inside of her hand about the subject the professor teached. '' Oh.. Sorry.. Professor.'' The blonde than said. Lauren looked suprised as the man told her he searched for her. Why would that be? The first time she entered his lesson it seemed he could look into her soul, but she kind of thought of the professor as kind. And had an good feeling. Nothing like her dad. '' You were? Why?'' Lauren was an bit stressed directly was it about class? She hoped it would.

Bryce looked around to see if there were others, since he knew that things might be a little sensitive. He took a deep breath and he spoke, expertly bringing his voice down to a small whisper, "I had visions of you, and your home life." Bryce looked down and saw his cookie, before taking his wand and waving it to vanish it. "Um, bruises and stuff..." Bryce found it that it was hard to even say. Bryce wanted to help, and he wanted to take her away, but he didn't want to force her to do something that she did not want to do. "Can I help you? I want to help, but I don't want to force you to do anything you aren't ready for."

When the professor started to speak Lauren had an feeling she wanted to run away badly. Like she usually did, run away from things or lie or pretend. But now her feeling that she had over her Divinations professor was just right, she always had en feeling he could look right through her. And after Styx who could read her mind after the boggart lesson now there was an second or even third professor who knew. Next to her head of house who she tried to avoid sometimes, but she now saw that she needed them. Gabriella had told her also, and she had no choice. If she ever wanted to end this, now was the time. But it was so scary to let people in and trust them. She had distrusted people so hard, what if he had spoken with her father? But that would be crazy. He had visions, of course he had. When he mentioned the word bruises she thought of the ones she had. And it felt like she was drowning. Her heart went faster. And she looked at the ground. She could not pretend anymore, this was too direct. And the way he offered his help made her look up again, looking in his eyes. Lauren didn't want to discuss it here. She looked around. And doubted for an moment before answering. '' I.. uhm..'' Lauren felt her throat was dry. '' How? What do you know?'' Lauren asked soft. She tried to hold back her tears. Admitting it to someone made it so much more real. But she tried to. '' Not here... I can't do it.. Can we speak in private?'' The blonde than spoke. Was this a way of trying to let her admit it? Or could he really seen something? In case if she learned out of this that he was not to be trusted, she would make an deal with herself to not trust any adult ever again.
