Floating inches above the floor, the dementor approached the staff table. It was a pity nobody was cringing and shrieking. Despite the reputation that its kind typically had, this cloaked fiend found pumpkin seeds tastier than souls.
Gabe peered through his mask at a room filled with festivity. Jack-o-lanterns stared, sneered and smiled at each other as they hovered above the costumed masses. Everyone and everything from ghosts to Grindelwald were in attendance. The tables were already stuffed with dinner and dessert. When it came to events at Hogwarts New Zealand, nothing was more exciting than the Halloween Feast.
The headmaster's persona crumbled as he cleared his throat. "I'd like to thank all of you boys and ghouls for joining us this Halloween," he began. "Don't forget to sign up for the Costume Contest, which starts in an hour! I can already see that we'll have some strong contenders this year." Gabriel grinned behind his mask and added, "Enjoy the grubs! ...or rather, the grub."
