Transfiguration Lesson

[Larissa Sedgwick]

Larissa walked with the light brown rat to the corridor, sitting down and stroking it for a few moments,
The rat was calm and very good tempered.
Larissa waited for her partner to join her so they could begin their spell work.

 

[Dakota Cinellison]

Dakota followed Larissa out into the corridor.
"Right," she breathed, happily enough, "Do you want to go first?"
Before hearing Larissa's answer, Dakota took the rat from her and held it out.

Larissa nodded and stood up.
The strength Dakota showed was what had originally attracted Larissa to her..
It made her wonder why she broke up with Dakota.

Larissa held out her wand in front of her, pointing it at the rat.
She took a deep breath.
"Cor... hang on, what was it?" Larissa thought for a moment.
"Oh yes.. Cuniculus!"
The spell shot out and directly hit the rat in its face.
It began to morph.. It's ears grew longer, it's tail was replaced by a little fluffy one and its feet became more paw like with sharp black claws.
"Hmm.." Larissa said, staring at the surprised rabbit-rat, "Give me a moment.."

 

[Dakota Cinellison]

Dakota sighed and rolled her eyes.
"You know what?" she said, thrusting the rat-rabbit into Larissa's arms and taking out her own wand, "I'll go first."
Dakota stood back and made sure her stance was correct.
"I find posture is key when casting a transfiguring spell."
She swept her wand round and flicked it at the rat-rabbit.
"Cuniculus." She said clearly and simply.
The creature transformed fully into a rabbit.. But into an albino one with red eyes.
"I like albinos." Dakota shrugged, taking back the rabbit and reversing the spell.

 

[Larissa Sedgwick]

Larissa was not at all amazed by Dakota's magical abilities; She had always known what a fantastic witch Dakota was.
She raised her eyebrows as Dakota found the 'correct posture' and cast the spell, creating an albino rabbit.
"You've done this before, haven't you?" Larissa said, watching her ex transform the rabbit back into a rat.

Larissa pointed her wand at the rat.
She wanted to prove to Dakota that she was good at magic as well.
"Cuniculus!" Larissa said clearly, having just pictured a beautiful black rabbit in her mind.
The rat transformed into a grey rabbit. Larissa smiled, pretending this was meant to happen.
"There, see?"

 

[Dakota Cinellison]

Dakota couldn't help but smile.
Larissa had always been the jealous type- She remembered that from when they were dating.
"Yes, Larissa, I have."

Dakota watched as Larissa transformed the rat into a lovely grey rabbit.
"Very good," she said, knowing Larissa liked praise, "Shall we go back to class?"
