Evander was a Slytherin. He did not mind this choice, as he knew of the houses, from what his relatives had told him, and both said that they did not mind the house of Slytherin. He too, did not mind it, although living under a lake wasn't really his style - but he had seen the amount of steps that led to the Ravenclaw and Gryffindor towers, and he was glad he wasn't going up all of those. He would never, ever get up all those stairs. He would have to get someone to piggy-back him up there, because his legs simply wouldn't do it.

Evader was probably the shortest person here, and would probably be the shortest for a while. He had seen maybe one other short person, but some people were just small. Evader was only 2 feet and seven (and a quarter) inches. Easily less than half the size of most of the students in his year, and all the other years, for that matter. Sometimes, he was mistaken for a small child. That was the worst of it, being thought of as a little toddler or something. The Slytherin walked into the library, deciding that he had had enough of the outdoors. Everyone seemed to be outside these days, and he had no desire to lurk around and talk to people - libraries were quiet places, so no-one should be here.

With his pointed ears clearly seen through his hair, Evander looked up at the bookshelves. He was not sure what he wanted to read, but he wanted to read something. Being proud, however, Evander refused to hunt down the librarian so they could get him his desired book. Not when these shelves looked about ready to be climbed. So, the part-goblin began to climb as best he could, one shelf at a time. There were only five shelves. He would hopefully get past the second one soon.

Though there were lots of places that Levy was yet to explore in the castle, she mostly spent her time within the comforts of the library. Almost no one can convince her to get out of there unless she was willing to leave the said place. Her siblings didn't bother her either since they were sorted into different houses and the small girl didn't particularly care where in the castle Gajeel and Cess ended up in. After all, she was fairly sure that those two wouldn't be able to leave school even if they wanted to. Well, unless they ended up being expelled, but she knew her brother and sister weren't that much of an idiot or at least she hoped so.

One again Levy was spending an awful lot of her time in the library. She had enough of the current Charms book she was reading and went back to return it before going on a search for her next book to read. As she was searching though, she had come upon the weirdest sight she was yet to see within the library of Hogwarts New Zealand. A small boy was climbing the shelves of the library. And though Levy didn't really want to describe the boy as small, since she was also small for an eleven-year-old with the height of 4 feet and 1 inch, the boy was a little over half her own height. At first she thought it was a toddler, maybe the librarian's son or something. But upon closer look, her green eyes had caught sight of the pointed ears the boy had. He must be a part-goblin, she thought as she approached the boy.

She had read about goblins and a bit about part-goblins, though she wasn't really one to blurt out loud everything she knew, at the very least she knew something. Levy looked at the unknown boy curiously and wondered which book he was trying to reach, and if she could reach it herself. Being the small girl she also was, she just shrugged and let her eyes wander around the books on the shelf and her eyes landed on the book up on the fourth shelf that she apparently wanted. The brunette pouted and looked over to the boy who was climbing. She had to wondered if she would climb too. Or maybe she could ask him to get it? Well, it was worth a shot. "U-uhm, hi.. Where's the book you're getting? I was wondering if you could also get the book up there," she said quite bashfully as she pointed at the book she wanted.

There had been nothing so far about Hogwarts that Isaiah hadn't loved. He was up all night, reading the first year books and trying to practice those super simple spells that he imagined most were able to do. He'd master Lumos, which had been incredible fun. His first spell, he was still working on the levitating one. Isaiah knew full well that he could wait until he was actually in classes to try and learn it, but he couldn't wait. He didn't want to have to wait that long. It was early days, and just perhaps he was pushing himself a little more than he had to for the purposes of learning the spells. The young Ravenclaw yawned and stretched as he made his way to the library. Admittedly the boy hadn't been getting that much sleep. Mostly since he was just so caught up in all the reading. He imagined he could sleep later the next holidays, but it made him tired. As it would for any young eleven year old. He stepped into the library, and while this wasn't his first time in it, he was still in awe of it. There were just so many books. Isaiah loved reading books, he loved learning. There were few things that he loved more, really the only thing he did love more than reading and learning was his family. He loved writing and telling stories, but they came after the reading and the learning. It was really no wonder, when the boy thought about it, that he was a Ravenclaw. Isaiah yawned as quietly as he could, little tears forming in his eyes because of the yawn. He wiped his eyes on the back of his hand, as he began to wonder around the library. There was so much in it, that Isaiah hadn't even taken out any books, but was searching for the right one.

The dark green eyes of the boy finally saw what he'd been looking for, books on this school, and the one in Scotland. His mother he was sure had gone to the one in Scotland, so he was hoping to find information on it. He wanted to know everything about this school and the other one. Really if Isaiah could have his way he would just want to know everything. Realising that he had two books under one arm, he began to look for a place to sit. As he searched for a place to sit, he spotted, a young and very small boy trying to climb up the shelves. Now, Isaiah wasn't sure if this was allowed. He glanced around him, to see if he could spot a librarian or a professor to let them know what was going on. But, he couldn't spot anyone. He was more curious about what was happening, and so decided he would go over. Maybe he could help the small boy. Isaiah was of average height for his age, he stood at just about 4' 9", perhaps a little on the taller side, but his family was all tall. His father was tall, as had been his mother, and he was sure that he would be pretty tall too when he was of age. As he approached, he noticed a table pretty close to the climbing boy, and so took the opportunity, to put the books on the table, and place his bag beside it. Reaching down to get his wand out of his bag. This was just as a girl stepped towards the climbing boy, asking if he could get a book for her as well. The boy who was climbing, Isaiah realised in that moment was part-goblin, which was why he was so small, he'd heard about them, but had never actually seen one. "Erm.." He approached the pair, "Instead of climbing, you could try and get them down with magic, the levitating spell?" Isaiah suggested to the pair, holding his wand in his left hand, and scratching the back of his head with the right, a small sign that Isaiah was a little bit nervous. "Or I could get them"

Everything Hogwarts was big, old and made out of wood, Jasper his hands had been tingling all day and if that wasn't a bad thing he was also lost. He was trying to get back to the Gryffindor Common room to watch the Fireplace crackling away on some old wooden logs. Jazz only ended up in the library which was filled with other students that he did not know, he silently crept inside the library were he saw some kind of little elf trying to grab a book. He looked like someone from the old films he had watched named Lord of the Rings. In his village they held this annual festival were everyone would dress up as someone and this kid would be a perfect fit for an elf. Jazz did not know a lot about Magic, there must be elves on Hogwarts, everything seemed possible here anyway. When Jazz waited behind a giant bookcase to wait of his opportunity to make his appearance. This library made his handle tingle, everything was so burnable yet so far out of his reach. He could always say that some book spontaneous combusted when he was not looking, or fire spell gone wrong. ''I must resist the urge.'' He thought strictly while holding his lighter in his left hand. Jazz walked up to the group and waited for everyone to finish talking. He had not heard what they were talking about and he was intrigued by the part elf that was clearing looking like a toddler of some kind. He had pointy ears, that was one thing he was sure off he had even looked twice to see if he was right.

He obviously was right and on the fourth time of staring he still saw the pointy ears of this boy. ''Eh, hello are you part-elf?'' Jazz asked politely, clutching his lighter with a death grip in his hand. If this boy would be part-elf that would be so cool and Jazz had to know how he could become one. He smiled to the other students around him, which were Ravenclaws he had noticed every house colour and robe at his sorting. He himself was wearing his Gryffindor robes and Jazz hoped he would be accepted by this group of students. Jazz released the lighter bit from his left hand, since it was starting to go a bit numb. In his mind he could see the fires already and his nostrils a picked up a faint burned smell. ''One book could not hurt right, they would not even miss it anyway.'' Jazz thought again, these books were all calling his name and Jazz loved the smell of burning books in the morning. There must be a Librarian around here with eyes like a hawk, he would not dare to take a book on his first day, but the possibility was there and lay open for him. When his mind appeared to be a bit more normal again he looked at the other students and introduced himself politely. His lighter was now safe in his robe pocket and his hand had a faint smell of ash and fire.

Hogwarts was amazing. It was so big, and he was just wasting away in the dungeons! It was so dark and ugly down there. He think he understood why his head of house was always so grumpy. It was just terrible to be in such a dark place. Ray Ray made sure to eat big breakfast. He couldn't find Ray, and the most obvious place She would be is library. Books were boring. Raymond would rather get sent to his Head of House then read like Ravynn.

He was already missing home. Michelle had started crying just sending them off. Of course he had said that She was overreacting, but Michelle had never let them out of her sight. It was especially different since she could not have any children of her own. Ray Ray was suprised she had not adopted them yet. Maybe she would later. It was the only next clear step in their relationship with their foster mother.

Raymond reached the library. He had a feeling that today something fun was going to happen. He headed over to a section where he felt Ray may be. He was brought with an unexpected sight. There was a group of kids watching a baby climb a the shelves. "Are you guys serious? Poor baby! He could fall and hurt himself!" he reprimanded them. It did not cross his mind that the boy could be part goblin. Raymond reached and grabbed the boy in attempt to get him down. Who would bring a kid to Hogwarts anyway?

Tressa couldn't believe all the cool things she had seen since coming to this school. Some of them were really scary, like the moving pictures that suddenly spoke to her and made her jump ten feet in the air, or the moving staircases that kept putting her in the places she didn't want to go. Thanks to those staircases, Tressa had gotten lost more times then she would like to admit. She wasn't usually bad with directions, but this castle just made things difficult. Tressa didn't see how it could be, but from the things she had seen and heard, this castle appeared to be alive, somehow. The thought slightly concerned Tressa, as she didn't really know how to handle something like that. First it was sentient sticks, then talking hats, then came the moving pictures and now she was trying to survive the thought that this castle was alive. It was simply insane and Tressa was almost certain she may go crazy before anything else. It was this reason she had chosen to go to somewhere familiar, something that even she had in her world. The Library.

Although on second thoughts, Tressa was now slightly worried about the sudden appearance of self levitating books, or maybe candles that lit themselves up, perhaps she would find herself amongst screaming books! Now Tressa wasn't so sure if she really wanted to go to the library, but she was nothing if not determined. With her head held high and her aspirations in place, Tressa made her way into the library. What she saw there however, was not what she expected. Frowning, Tressa made her way over to the group to see what was happening. The sight before her confused her immensely. She heard someone say the word elf. Was this an elf? She had not known that there were any elves here. Of course she did not know if there was much of anything here, so it made sense that she would not know. From this distance however and the fact that she was behind a small crowd, Tressa could not tell if the elf was a boy or a girl. "What is it? Is it an elf? Do we have elves here?" What even was an elf? Was it like in the traditional sense, like the ones from the Christmas stories? That was quite exciting. Though she was confused as to why it was climbing a bookshelf.
