For the false pretense of dressing up unlike himself, being able to get away with it, and having a candy reward at the end of it all had quickly made Halloween one of Cairo's favourite holidays. It certainly beat Christmas and Easter by comparison purely due to the scare factor. How he could scare his friends, family and now his peers without facing a single consequence. It was why he had suggested to Rome they dress as vampires and why he enthusiastically dragged her to the Halloween feast with a smile that was decorated with fake blood and his entire face covered in white paint. "Come on!" He whispered to his sister as they entered the great hall. The decorations were cheesy. As far as Halloween could go, Cairo expected something more terrifying though he could hardly complain because he had another objective in mind. He wrapped his hand around his sisters arm and led her behind a curtain, where they waited for a few minutes before jumping out at the first person that walked by, Cairo hissing in the most sinister way he could think of in an attempt to scare the living daylights out of them.

Rome had not wanted to go to this Halloween feast, she hadn't wanted to bother with he people and the crowds, she had sometimes liked Halloween when they'd been growing up but not so much any more. And Cairo was dragging her to this, had made her think about a costume and then she'd had to go to the effort of applying make-up and getting contact lenses just so that she looked the vampire part. Once finally ready Rome had just stood waiting for Cairo who had encouraged her to just come out so they could leave, which Rome did. While it was usually Rome leading in the schemes this Halloween thing was definitely all him, rather than hers. However when she was leading him in schemes she knew it meant following him to and this was just a way in which he did this. She followed a little behind Cairo as they walked into the great hall, she glanced about the room and rolled her eyes at the decorations, God these were cheesey. But knowing that what Cairo had in mind was scaring people she could definitely get behind that, so she jumped behind the curtain with him, jumping out at the on the first person who walked by, attempting to be as scary as possible, with the fake fangs all on show, hoping that she had in fact with her brother managed to scare someone, perhaps this whole Halloween thing wouldn'tbe such a bust after all.

The whole point of dressing up was to scare people, but with the way Lanithro was dressed, he did not know if he could even do that. He was dressed as a vampire, and had fake blood dribbling down his lip. His family was never into holidays, except for Halloween. But dressed as something else with skull masks, rather than colorful, bright costumes. However, his eyes, which were transfigured red by his father, spotted two of his friends going to hide behind a curtain, probably to scare people. He smirked, before sneaking over to the curtain, from a hidden angle. He pulled the curtain back, attempting to expose the twins for what they were. But they jumped out at a lowly Hufflepuff, who took off screaming into the great hall. He dropped the curtain before folding his arms across his chest. He was right. They were dressed as vampires. He looked at them, and then looked at himself. He sighed, "Okay, one of us is going to have to change." He was using a joke that some would use when people dressed the same. But the twins looked more like modern, whereas he looked more like a vampire from the 17th century.

Cairo laughed at the Hufflepuff that ran screaming into the great hall. Halloween was his favourite holiday indeed, and if every other Hufflepuff or any of his peers alike were this easily scared by two blonde vampires jumping out from behind a curtain the rest of the Halloween feast surely held a lot more promise. He turned towards Rome and almost lifted his hand to give her a high five though the sound of a familiar voice kept him from moving a muscle. It was Lanithro, also blonde and also dressed as a vampire which was a fact Cairo found hilarious though he wasn't about to show it. "That means you, Lanithro." Cairo stated, matter of factly while crossing his arms over his chest and shifting his weight between both his feet. He honestly could not have cared less that the other first year had chosen a similar costume, and was rather amused and alternately intrigued because it meant there was a possibility Lanithro could join in on their quest to scare their peers. "Majority rules. Rome and I are a pair. Can't have vampire twins without one of the twins, can we?"

Silua had spent much time and labor working on his Fallen Angel inspired costume. Well, at least one part of it. For the most part, he had dressed like he normally did, when out of his school uniform. Donning a white tank top, his leather studded vest, and the pair of ripped at the knees, black washed skinny jeans he hid under his robes on school days. The wings were what he had been toiling at since before September, but the end result proved to be worth it, as they looked rather magnificent. The feathers were genuine, and had been painstakingly applied all over two large moveable frames. When Silus raised his arms a certain way, they'd open and extend. The wings were a bit cumbersome, though, as he seemingly kept accidentally hitting other students with them. That had a benefit he soon found, as people were beginning to offer him a wide gap of space to walk through.

He smirked as he entered the Great Hall, noticing a Hufflepuff screaming and running around the room. What a pitiful little moron. He thought chuckling lowly. He hadn't moved far, when he noticed three other first years, obviously dressed up as vampires. How boring. Though on closer inspection, he noticed they couldn't be group costumes because one seemed rather out of place. "Welcome to the 21st century." He rumbled to the one who seemed to be lost in the 17th century, or somewhere along that time period.

Rome definitely enjoyed the petrified look on the hufflepuff's face as they scared them. She laughed along with her brother at it, since it was pretty funny and any opportunity to scare people was something she liked. She had noticed what Cairo had been about to do, a high five, which she would've returned but they were interrupted by the only other friend that Rome was sure they had at Hogwarts, and really Rome might like him, but she definitely didn't trust him. She noticed that he too was dressed as a vampire and at his words smirked slightly, her and her brother had clearly come as a pair, and his vampire looked different from theirs. She stayed silent during the exchange just nodding along with Cairo, "You definitely can't have vampire twins without one of the twins," she agreed with a small smirk, and had been about to add more when another first year boy, whom she didn't know stood in front of them, welcoming them to the 21st century, Rome glanced at Cairo and smirked slightly, deciding she was going to have some fun this Halloween, some fun with this kid. She smiled at the new arrival with a falsely friendly smile, "What a beautiful costume!" she told the boy motioning to his wings with a falsely sweet tone, "I'm Claudia, that's Louis," she pointed to her brother, "And that's Lestat," she pointed to Lanitrho, whom she also glanced at hoping he might like the last time play along, she took a few steps towards the other boy and reached out to touch the wings of his costume, "How long did it take you to make this?" she asked him with a small smile, "Must've taken forever, what do you think Louis? So much effort for it, "

Silus eyes the girl vampire suspiciously. It could've been she was trying to play up her character in some way, or simply the strange contacts she wore, but something about her seemed off, and Silus wasn't trusting of the fake smile she flashed him, nor the sugary toned compliments. However, if there was one thing Silus appreciated, it was flattery, and so he raised both of his arms out, causing the wings to extend to their grandest state. This action sent someone nearby down to the floor, and he chuckled.

The girl, Claudia, apparently, introduced Silus to the boys, and took a few steps towards him. He shifted slightly back on his feet where her fingers only grazed his wings. Silus sent her a polite smile. "An unreasonable amount of time for one to spend on a costume." He remarked lightly, as he took in her praise. He returned to feeling uneasy at Claudia's last statement. Something didn't feel right about her words, or her actions. He thought sourly.

Lanithro chuckled when Cairo stated that it meant him. He spent maybe five minutes on this costume, and another five on the make up. No way he was going to lose that effort. Plus he had a suspicion that he was joking. "If you guys are a pair, then shouldn't your vote count as one?" a smirk came over his lips, revealing that he was also making a joke. "Although I must applaud you on the scare. It was...incredible." Rome only tagged on what Cairo said, before Lanithro spoke, before another first year came along. Lanithro didn't know this one. He honestly did not care to know either. The student welcomed the Gryffindor to the 21st century. At first, he had no idea what he was talking about, but did not show it. He was trained to never show confusion. He did have a look at his own outfit to see what he meant. Before he could talk, it seemed that Rome was having her way. She told the boy that the costume was beautiful, but he noted the false act. Rome introduced them as Claudia, Louis and Lestat. He knew those characters from a book, and she named him the best one. To him anyway. He nodded toward the boy, and decided to play along. "Indeed. Louis, I bet it took this boy a while to make those fabulous wings. Must have taken days." Lanithro reached out to touch the opposite wing of Rome, his hands feeling the material. "Incredible."
