Being in Slytherin was the last thing that Zayne ever wanted. It was one thing to be a pure-blood in the eyes of his step-mother. It was one thing to really get involved with her, but he had no choice seeing as this was his father's wife. Zayne wanted ever to so much to see what it was like to have a real mother, but that was just out of the question for him. Zayne was hating his life right now, because he was a Slytherin, and why was that? His step-mother hated Slytherins and she hated pure-bloods. Both of them combined, Zayne would never hear the end of it. His gray eyes stared at the floor as he leaned against the wall of the dungeons. Light, dim lights glowed around him, his face illuminating by the light orange glow. His dark hair fanned around his face and he slowly slid down the wall and rested his legs across from his torso. He was stretched out, but he truly did not know what to do, let alone what he was doing here anyway. Zayne never wanted to go to Hogwarts, but he just did not care anymore. Because of him being a pure-blood, all the yelling had really made him rather apathetic about the school.
But why did the Hat send him into Slytherin? Did he really fit the profile? Zayne thought over his own personality, and he thought he would have made a better Hufflepuff. He was shy, never talked to anyone, and now, he was in Slytherin where a lot of snobs and judgmental people resided. Did he really fit here? Zayne did not know, but obviously the hat knew more than the eleven-year-old did. Zayne let out a soft sigh and he hoped for the best around here. Maybe he would make a friend or two. He did not want a lot, but he wanted someone to at least talk to about things. However, he never wanted anyone to know what he was. Zayne glanced up the dungeons and he thought that he heard something. Zayne narrowed his gray eyes and saw that it was just a second year Slytherin walking through the dungeons. Zayne moved his legs up to his chest and he sat there wondering if he would bother anyone just sitting here.
