Open To Lend a Helping Hand

Jonah didn't know what the words meant when he said it but it was probably not good based on how the Hufflepuff Head of House reacted, but all the same, he thought it was fitting. His parents usually said it when they were feeling particularly surprised and offended at the same time - which was how Jonah felt for his two newfound friends. He ignored the part where he only ever heard his parents say it when they thought none of his siblings were listening. But Rica-nee also said it enough so it can't be that bad. She was only a few years older than him! And besides the ghost thing was saying it too! Or well, he was repeating what everyone was saying. It was both amusing and annoying. "Shut up or you're ugly, baka baka baka*" he wondered if that would work. If it didn't, well, Jonah had grown up with nine siblings. He could handle childish noise. What he couldn't handle was the Hufflepuff Head of House still trying to corner him. He almost had half the mind to completely hide behind @Felix Layton-King but the Gryffindor Head of House was also here and it felt very much like a kids vs adults scenario which was just unfair because how were they going to win against adults ganging up on them. "I don't want to chat with you, you're mean," he said almost petulantly, especially not after he got them into trouble. He doesn't really want to chat with any adult right now. Or maybe he could just go to his dad. His dad should be on his side right? But, the Gryffindor Head of House who was an uncle wasn't on their side. Maybe family didn't mean much in Hogwarts. Which made sense since the hat separated him from his triplets anyway.
