Today was the day. Dominik was getting ready for the most important day of his life. Today he was going to marry Rhyspa Aireous, the love of his life. Standing there looking in the mirror he glanced back at his best man and said, "She's too good for me man. What if she picks today to realize this point?" Dom was beyond nervous. The relationship that he and 'Spa had hadn't exactly started in the most pleasant of ways, but the ex-Durmstrang had changed considerably over the last five years. Shaking all of that from his head he finished getting ready, double checking that he had Rhyspa's wedding band with him. Looking at Nicolae he said half-jokingly, "Okay so I know that we've gone over this about ten times, but for everyone's sake please just ignore any smartass comment that Katalina may throw your way. We both know that she can be a little *****y at times, but just smile and take it all in stride. 'Spa has talked to her and she said that Kat swore she'd be on her best behavior." Unfortunately Nicolae and Katalina hadn't made amends about what had happened the way that he and Rhyspa had.
 
Rhyspa sat in the ornate chair as she stared at her reflection in the mirror. 'Spa was never one who cared much what she looked like, but today she had to look absolutely perfect. Today was her wedding day. Rhyspa was about to marry the man she absolutely loved and adored. She had her two best friends, Katalina and Kailey, by her side. Her mother, Analease, and her younger sister, Callan were there too. She had all the people she loved the most, excluding her fiance in one room. Rhyspa rose out of the chair, "Well, it's now or never."
 
Kat had just finished pulling her curled hair back from her face when she heard her best friend say something. Turning to look at Rhyspa she inhaled sharply and said, "You look absolutely stunning, but of course you know Dom's not going to want to keep that dress on you for too long." Kat stuck her tongue out at her friend to let her know she was joking...well sort of. "She looks pretty hot doesn't she Kailey," the brunette asked their other friend with a wink.
 
Nicolae looked at Dominik and straightened his tie. The black suit he was wearing complemented his athletic form, and his girlfriend, Marleigh, loved the way that it looked when he tried it on for her the other day. "Yeah, she is too good for you, but, know what?" Nic said, clapping him on the back. "She won't change her mind. Haven't you noticed the way she looks at you? She is crazy in love with you, man. Nothing is going to stop this wedding today unless you decide to run -- and then I will have to kill you." He chuckled and smirked at his friend. They had been through it all together, ever since their first year at school. Now they were side by side as Dom married the love of his life. "I bet Kitty Kat might just throw a shoe at you if you run," he added jokingly. "And I promise, again, to be on my best behavior around the little Ice Chip. As long as her claws are put away, I will be a good boy. Plus, I need to behave for Marleigh." Nic winked at Dom, then whispered to his friend, "Check your fly."
 
Dominik seemed to relax slightly as Nic joked with him. Then he remembered the one important bit of information that he'd waited until now to share with his best friend. "Good, now that we have that squared away...I'm glad you'll be on your best behavior because you'll be the one walking Kat down the aisle during the wedding procession," he said, waiting to see what Nic's reaction would be. He had yet to hear screaming or swearing from across the hall where the girls were getting ready which only meant one of two things: Rhyspa hadn't told Kat yet or the ex-Gryffindor was actually taking the news well. He tended to think it was the first option though.
 
Kailey was putting the final touches on her hair when she heard a slight rustling of fabric behind her, and since only one thing could be making noise like that in this room Kailey whipped around in a one eighty degree turn from the mirror she had been perched in front of just seconds earlier as her friend spoke. At first she was simply in awe of one of the best friends she had ever had. Rhyspa looked absolutely beautiful in that wedding gown! However when Kat started to joke around with her Kailey couldn't help but snicker. "Oh yeah!" she responded with a giggle, letting out a light cat call before sobering up enough to give her actual compliment. "But seriously though Rhyspa. You look absolutely beautiful. Kat and I are going to have to pick Doms' jaw up off of the floor when he sees you girl." Kailey told her, her mouth stretching into a large smile.
 
Nic was messing with his hair when he heard Dom inform him exactly who he was escorting down the aisle. Turning and raising an eyebrow at his best friend, he just looked at him for a few moments. "You are damn lucky that I love you and Spa or you know I would be much less of a grown up right now than I am." He just hoped that the little Kitty Kat would behave and act like a grown up. Last time he saw her she was nothing less than b*tchy to him. Besides, he would behave simply because he did not want to ruin things for Spa and Dom. Later tonight, after a few shots of Ogden's, he would not be responsible for anything that he said to her.
 
A bright rose blush creeped across Rhyspa's cheeks as Kat teased her about what was surely going to happen tonight. "Katalina! Mind your own business!" Rhyspa said, not being able to hold back her giggles. Rhyspa beamed at her two friends, "You know, you two don't look so bad yourselves. Chace and Demitris are very lucky men! Oh, and Kat, someone else is very lucky today too."
 
"Mind my own business? Yeah right," Kat said laughing as she hooked her earrings into her ears and looked in the mirror once more. "Damn straight they're lucky to have us. And I think they know it too," she beamed, knowing that truth be told she was the one who was lucky. Chace was her everything and she thanked her lucky stars every day that he loved her too. "Oh really? And just who would that be miss priss?"
 
"Well, being that you're Maid of Honor," Rhyspa said, "you are being escorted by the Best Man." She paused a few seconds, hating that she was going to be the one to tell her. "You have to walk with Nicolae."
 
Patricia had returned from Kat's a few days ago, feeling more refreshed and relaxed after the nice break away from the family. She returned the Styx Manor and looking at the calendar realised that her old friend, Rhyspa's, wedding was coming up soon. She had spent the days coming up to it finding the perfect outfit for it, and in doing so staying away from her family some more. Her tattoo was still bugging her a bit, but thankfully it wasn't as sore anymore. On the day of the wedding Pat spent part of the morning getting ready, fixing her make up and getting her hair to sit just right in a bunch of half up, half down curls. Once she was happy she put on her finishing touches and set off for the wedding. It was hard to believe that so many of Pat's old friends and house mates were getting marries, remembering Caysi's during the last holidays - she only hoped today turned out better for Rhyspa than it had for Caysi. Arriving at the chapel Pat was giving directions to where she should sit, it was still early yet as many of the guests had yet to arrive, she wished that she had someone to take with her but the only one she would have liked to take with her was away house hunting and completely out of reach since the start of the holidays. Taking her seat she waited for more people to turn up.
 
Kat sucked in a sharp breath and her face first turned a nice shade of red and then a slight purple-ish color before returning to its normal rosy state. Looking at her best friend she had planned to respond quietly, but in normal Kat fashion she exploded. "What the hell do you mean I'll be walking with Nicolae down the aisle? I'd rather chew off his left arm and beat him with it. Rhyspa Aireous...have you lost your effin mind? You've gone mental," she bounded off onto her best friend. Pacing around the room she muttered under her breath for a few moments before stopping and looking at Rhyspa. "Okay, is he going to try and not be an a$$ today? Because if he can behave then I'll try my damnedest to as well," the brunette said slowly and carefully.
 
Rhyspa had her eyes squeezed shut as she heard and winced at Kat's reaction. She knew she would react this way but Dom had known Nicolae would behave for them. Rhyspa afterall, had forgiven Dom, but she wasn't sure if Kat could do the same with Nic. "Kat, I know and I'm sorry. But please, do this for me. I know Nic will behave if Dom asks him to," Rhyspa said. "I just need to know if you'll do the same?"
 
Sighing heavily Kat made a criss-cross motion across her chest and said, "I'll be on my best behavior...I'm only doing this for you." She figured that at least having Chace there would make the event easier for her to bear.
 
"I know man and I appreciate it," Dom said to his best man. He was just about to say something else when he felt a shift in the force and quite a ruckus from the room across the hall. The twenty year old visibly cringed and he looked at Nicolae saying, "Seems Rhyspa told her. I think she took it well. The building is still intact at least...that's a good sign right?"
 
"Chew my arm off and beat me with it? Wow," Nic replied with a fake serious face. He only held it for a few seconds, then burst out laughing. "Oh she took it so well. Wonder if I brought my cup...." He moved to quickly dig through his bag of clothing, then started looking around the room. Finally he found a saucer from a teacup in the room. He looked at the saucer, then smiled. "Think this will work to keep my nards safe?" he asked, a sassy look on his face.
 
"Katalina Vanderhol is a force of nature in herself. I don't think any males nards are safe if she would actually put her mind to it," Dom said semi-jokingly. Kat had definitely grown on the boy, but sometimes she was hard to handle and when it came to her thoughts on Nicolae...well that was just a horrible situation altogether. Glancing at his watch he realized it was three minutes to show time. "You mind sticking your head in and telling the girls it's time to go? I would do it, but 'Spa has this whole thing about it being bad luck to see the bride before the wedding," he asked Nic, suddenly starting to feel very nervous.
 
"That is the truth. I pity the man that ends up with her, having to guard his junk at all times. Never knowing if she was going to harm them or, well, be nice to them," Nic replied with a smile. He was happy that he had ended up so far with Marleigh. She had a strong will, but never once had harmed him. It was like he was an adult around her and it felt good. Being around Kat, well, she seemed to always bring out the little boy in him.

"I believe that I would enjoy that, Dom," he said. "Hopefully the Kitty has her claws retracted before I get there. You gonna be okay by yourself or do I need to escort you down first, buddy?"
 
"Thanks man. I think I can make it to the alter on my own," he said certainly. Straightening his tie for about the millionth time Dominik Marinescu headed to the front of the church where he stood waiting with the other guests so see his beautiful bride.
 
"Alright, see you up there," Nic replied. As Dom headed off, he took a deep breath in and braced himself for the worst. The idea of simply walking in and ignoring Kat came to mind. Giving a soft knock on the door, he opened it slowly, allowing the girls within time to shut it if they were not covered. Since the door was not slammed in his face, he smiled at his best friend's soon to be wife. She was a vision, and he found himself rather jealous of Dom yet again. He crossed the room to place a kiss on her cheek. "You look exquisite, Rhyspa. Its time. Are you ready for this?" he asked, fully aware of the Kat in the room and tensing up, waiting for her to pounce.
 
Kat looked up to see that Nicolae had entered the room. She snarled her nose at him as she grabbed her bouquet and got ready to head out. When his back was to her she held her hands up and hissed silently at him before looking at her best friend who was eyeballing her and mouthing the words, "Sorry...last time...PROMISE!" This was going to be harder than she thought. Taking a deep breath in and picturing Chace vividly in her mind she stood in the door frame and said, "Come on guys...lets get this show on the road."
 
At the next series of events to unfold Kailey seemed unable to do anything other than simply look between the the people involved, her eyebrows raised in surprise, well... Not really surprise but definitely not amusement either. Se remembered how Nicolae had been to her best friend back in their Third year and Kat did tend to hold grudges. Kailey just crossed her fingers and hoped the two could be calm enough not to ruin their best friends wedding. Upon hearing the knock at the door and seeing a male head pop in she gave Nicolae a small nod of greeting, sure the two hadn't been on the best terms at last meeting but time had changed them both and Kailey as willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Though she couldn't help but snicker a bit at Kats antics.
 
Rhyspa let out a sight of relief as Kat promised good behavior. The older girl was about to say thank-you, when her fiance's Best Man opened the door. She returned the kiss on the cheek and tried not to laugh at Kat. "Thank you Nic," Rhyspa said. She grabbed her bouquet and double checked in the mirror for fly-aways. "Something old, something new, something borrowed, and somethine blue," Rhyspa mumbled, checking to make sure everything was in its proper place. "Okay, I'm ready."
 
Nic smiled as Rhyspa did her last minute checks in the mirror. He held his arm out to her to escort her to the church, choosing to be the adult and ignore the Kitty Kat and her claws. He could not believe that she was still so stuck on hating him. Having grown up over the last few years, Nic really was beyond the childish games of the past. Well, not totally. Secretly he was beyond glad that he had Marleigh with him today to prove to Kat that he was really not a bad guy at all. Things never would have gotten the way they did if she hadn't blown things out of proportion all those years ago.

Once the ladies were in position in the back of the church, he checked to make sure that Dom was still standing before moving into position next to Katalina. Offering up his arm to her, he bit his tongue instead of saying the crack he so wanted to right now, knowing it would get the Ice Chip going in a second.
 
Once they were all at the back of the church Kat hugged Rhyspa tightly, getting a little misty eyed as she did so. She, Kailey, and Rhyspa had been the Three Musketeers for so long and now one of them was getting married and not too long from now so would another one of them. Kat knew that eventually she and Chace would get married, but for now she was happy with the way their life together was. "You're perfect," she said looking at her best friend and then giving her hand a gentle squeeze.

Taking her place the brunette inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly just as Nicolae was at her side offering his arm. Putting on her big girl panties she plastered a smile on her face and hooked her arm with his just as the music began to play.
