Jessica Reed lay flat out the long sofa in her sitting room, eating ice cream of all things. Even though the weather was beyond freezing, ice-cream was the food she craved for the most. She stretched over for the remote as the muggle soap she was watching became all soppy. "Ugh" She blurted out before shoving a spoonful of chocolate ice cream in her mouth. Just then, Jessica heard the front door open. She wasn't expecting Jenny this early? Jess looked at her watch on her wrist quickly just to make sure that she didn't lose track of time completely. Then, hearing loud stomps up the stairs Jess practicaly rolled off the sofa and stood up quickly, although wishing she hadn't when she got a sudden headrush.

When it passed she left the sitting room and walked up the stairs cautiously to hear the door of Jenny's room slam shut. So it definitely was Jenny. With her spoon stuck into her ice cream tub in one hand, Jess knocked softly on the door of Jenny's room softly, "Jenny? Can I come in?" However, she didn't wait for an answer. Best friends had that right. She opened the door to see Jenny lying on her bed crying. "Oh my god, J? Whats wrong?!" Jessica asked in shock as she made her way over to the bed and sat on the end of it waiting for Jenny to answer her.

Jenn heard her best friend ask if she could come in and about to say no, she was interrupted by Jessie coming in anyway as she always did. Hiding her face in her arms she groaned, it was horrible, she could not lie to anyone, never mind her best friend. "I miss Matt," she sniffled through her tears, just hoping that Jess wouldn't ask her what she meant but there was no way she wouldn't, to the older girl, Jenny probably thought of him as just her friend's dorky older brother but he was everything but to the Hufflepuff.

Had she thought this through enough? What if she had just ruined what they had before? Jenny knew that it had been wrong of her to date Matthew in the first place but as always her emotions had made the decisions rather then her head. She really hated that she did this but she would change, she had to. If she kept making decisions out of her gut or what her heart wanted she would never go anywhere or be what she wanted to be. The first step towards this, apparently was breaking up with Matthew.
