Time machine

I know that quite a few people on the board have been throwing this idea around and I really think it would be fun to have. I'm not saying we would RP our characters getting in a time machine, nor that they would have the power to change the past and the present. What I am suggesting is a forum where we could RP our characters past and possibly even present (though the second one wouldn't have to happen) I know a few people who would be interested in using this, myself especially. I know there is quite a few things of Melodie's past that would be alot of fun to actually RP out. Its just a suggestion, but let me know what you think. I know it would take alot, I understand. But I know how successful it has been on other sites.

The fan fictions forum had the ability to be used for this purpose. Unfortunately, however, it simply was not used. It got a new post every few months (and a new fanfiction even less frequently). It just didn't work.
So while there may be some interest, it isn't enough for a forum to be created and maintained for it.
I would recommend using the PM system if you want to roleplay it out with somebody else. If you just want to write it on your own, you're free to do so, and perhaps you could put it in your character's biography or something.

Not that I know much about time travel and what is and isn't allowed.
But I have seen some forums with a entire sub forum dedicated to Rping memories.
I think that in general an entire sub forum would be pretty in active and therefore useless to have an entire subforum dedicated to this one thing that not many would use. On a frequent basis.
But I'd you wanted to RP some of those things in Her past then surely it could be done in a topic itself. Like she's staringat an old picture, which reminds her of that day, and at that point you could RP the memory. But making it clear it's a memory. I'm sure that is something you're allowed to do. And it means the person can "time travel" and there is no need for an inactive subforum.
Just my thoughts on it. I hope I make sense, I'm terrible at explaining things. I also seriously hope I haven't repeated what Nick has said.

That's true.
TV shows do memory recap episodes like that all the time. It'd also be perfectly valid in an RP, to have her reminisce and then RP the memory as she recalls it.

Just an example that me and Jessye have done in a RP where it recalls memories: Click.
So, it could happen in a topic and a separate forum wouldn't be necessary at all. Great suggestion though! If Nick opened one up, I would be sure to use it.

I did a Dream role play there, its loads of fun cause I didn't even have to control anyone. They just interacted as it went along. I would think its the same and doesn't really need a section for it. I mean it be fun but than it would be confusing in some ways. So best bet is just do it similiary to ones link up there or sort of that way? With biographys having to be done and such, think it be confusing? Good idea however, I wouldn't mind reading a few memory rps with Melodie

As I stated, that was part of the availability of the Fan Fictions forum - writing about character's pasts - and it went unused.
So a new forum for it, after the Fan Fictions forum was just closed, is highly unlikely.
