Tybalt couldn't believe he was a sixth year. He couldn't believe that he had just two years left of this school. It felt like just yesterday he had been a small, frightened little first year who had no idea about what any of this was. He'd been living out of his parents car at the time, and had no courage in him what so ever. He'd spent most of first year questioning why he'd been made a Gryffindor. Tybalt had never at the time seen himself as someone who was brave. He was just little Ty, small for his age and wearing jumpers two sizes to big. Barely able to deal with any part of this school. Now, he was a sixth year, grown to what would probably be his full height, he was his father's height now. He was a prefect, he was on Accio, the brotherhood, the quidditch team and ran club academia. He couldn't believe how far he'd come. He was no longer afraid of heights, and he wore clothes that fit. He was not that scared little first year. He knew that he was made to be a Gryffindor. He always strived to do his best, and it had really paid off. He'd had some issues along the way, but he'd gotten perfect OWLs. He was going to do equally well on the NEWTs he was sure, and more than all of that, Tybalt had a plan for after school too. He knew that his life would lead him in all directions, but he honestly couldn't wait for it. He couldn't wait to get started on his much more difficult classes. Ty was just beginning to wonder where all that time had gone. He was a sixth year, and he had always though he'd have plenty of time to do all the things he wanted at the school, the reality was that he was coming to what was almost the final stretch. He was closer to the end, and he had a lot less time.

Tybalt had been feeling a little strange about it. Really he wasn't sure what he felt about the situation he was both quite pleased about all he had done, and would continue to do, while also in the same way, he was sad that it was almost over. Sure, Ty more than realised that he had to sit his NEWTs first, but the year would fly in, as would his last. He knew it. It would just fly in and then all of a sudden it would be over. With that in mind, the teen pulled himself out of bed, with a strange feeling in his head. He knew he needed to find some way to clear it, but he didn't want to go flying. As much as that was usually his go to, and he might just see Caroline there, he wasn't looking for that. He did want the fresh air, so Tybalt gathered up a few things and then headed out of the room. He wore a new Gryffindor jumper since he'd grown out of the old one in the previous year. It was still cold in New Zealand. It was still winter. He made his way through the halls of the school, and out to the grounds. He wasn't sure what he was going to do now, he hadn't really made up his mind, but instead of just aimless standing around like he was currently doing, Tybalt just began walking forward. He took in a deep breath of the cool air, and slowly let it out. He ran a hand through the still unruly brown hair, which had besides a few haircuts remained mostly unchanged during his first five years at this school. He couldn't help but let his eyes, glance at every part of the grounds that he loved. The pitch, the garden, the lake side, the herbology rooms. He was just so pleased that of all the magical schools he could've gone to this was the one he'd picked. It was as Tybalt walked that he did realised that he was heading towards the cliffs, not just aimlessly walked on the grounds. Now that was a place that Tybalt hadn't been to in a long while. In fact he'd mostly actively avoided it.

Tybalt had when he first arrived been deathly afraid of heights. It was why he'd had such a struggle with quidditch. He'd learned so he could teach his sister. Pushing through his own fear with Indiana's help to finally become a quidditch player and eventually lose his fear of heights. Sure, there were the odd moments when Ty felt like he was going to be afraid, but those were often fleeting and just when he'd almost fallen from his broom As an older student now, those fears of heights were mostly gone, and he was heading to the cliffs pretty happy. He was glad, when he finally reached them, and realised on this still early morning that he was glad for all that had happened. Sure, Ty was hoping that he'd see Indiana, and that B would come back to him, but slowly the boy was figuring out that maybe he had to turn his sight's to someone else. Or, at least forget about B. That said, the teen still missed her. He made his way to the very edge of the cliff and just sat down. He was sure that the cliff was supported by magic to a certain extent so that it wouldn't fall apart with any amount of weight. He lay down on the grass, his feet and ankles dangling over the edge. This place, Hogwarts was great. He was sad he'd need to leave soon, but happy from all the good times and memories this place had given him.

Damon Kyle had a lot to think about for the upcoming semester in Hogwarts New Zealand. Everything had to go just right. It pained him that his parents were alive and still kicking, but what could he do about that? Nothing at all. He wanted to be able to open up and talk to someone about it but every time he did, he just stopped. Nothing would come out. And he really liked his best friend that he was sure might like him back. He could not really voice this out so much. What he really needed to do was to go off and explore some. He needed to get his mind off of the events that happened last year. The Hufflepuff prefect made his way through the lawns, and could not really find a good place to think. Perhaps in tree? No, he would just fall down. Could he wonder off somewhere? No, he did not want to get in trouble. He just wanted to see a pretty good view, and then it hit him. He needed to go to the cliffs. It was high up, and he could get some work done there. He missed being happy, and he needed to tell Benjamen about it. But, he was a little afraid of judgment.

Damon arrived at the cliffs, but he was not the only one there. His eyes feasted upon another prefect, one he recognized from the meeting the other day. Tybalt Archer. They were in the brotherhood together, from what he could remember. And they were both good students. He did not know what the Rumor Has It magazine said about him, but right now, Damon wondered if he should talk to him. Damon did make sure that Sergei did not kill him, but Tybalt had no idea that was what Sergei most likely wanted, and might even still want. Damon decided to approach him cautiously. The Hufflepuff prefect stuffed his hands into his pockets, and he put on a weak smile, "Pretty day to come up here, huh?" Wow, that was lame. That was the best that he could come up with on a short notice? Wow, he needed to get out more. Damon looked down, unknown if the Gryffindor prefect would want company, or if his words would go about on deaf ears. Well, not literally deaf, of course. He was sure that there was only one deaf student in the school, and that was Bryce.

Tybalt was really happy for the silence that this place was giving it. It had been a strange few first days back. He hadn't really expected it to be so rocky, but it had in fact been just that. He'd come to the class with a newer outlook on things. Now, everything had changed ever so slightly. The clusterf##k that had been that prefects meeting, had ended for Ty with losing points for Gryffindor. The first time that had ever really lost points for his house. Tybalt worked incredibly hard for his house, he did everything he could to help get them points, but this one time, and he lost his house points. It didn't feel good at all. Not that Tybalt thought what he did was actually wrong. He had seen a situation erupting and he'd done something about it. Sergei hadn't been about to stand down, if Ty had been the one to try and talk to him, he hadn't seen Damon in enter the room, nor had he realised that he had such a sway over him. He'd watched someone turn on a younger student, and Tybalt didn't see any alternative than standing in the way. And even if he hadn't, the way the points had been given out, he would've lost points for not doing anything. So at least this way, he could claim that he had lost points for something. A perhaps incredibly rash and perhaps silly decision, but a decision all the same.

Tybalt was startled slightly, when a voice spoke next to him. He glanced at the boy and sat up, noting that it was in fact Damon Kyle from the prefects meeting. It was funny, they were in the same year, a few of the same clubs, and yet, Ty was sure this was perhaps the first time he'd actually ever really met the boy outside of things like that. And they were sixth years. He gave the other boy a bright and friendly smile, knowing that this boy was actually quite nice. "Yeah it is" He said, glancing around them and then nodding. Despite how muddled up his thoughts were currently, so much he had to think about and mull over. He moved over slightly, to give Damon some space if he wanted to take a seat with him. "Thanks you know, for Sergei" Tybalt said to him, he was sure that had Damon not been there, things might've gotten a lot more violent, or well they might've had no one else stepped in to help. "It was a stupid move." He laughed slightly as he said this. Knowing that it had been. "I just couldn't have him threaten her, I couldn't stand by and do nothing" He chuckled again, stopping himself and just glancing up at Damon smiling at him as he did so. "Sometimes I'm reminded as to why the hat put me in Gryffindor over all the other houses" Tybalt said looking away from Damon and back out at the cliff and the water below, he sighed slightly, "Seriously though, thank you, I owe you"

Damon remembered how Tybalt just protected that young girl for stepping up tp Sergei. The thing was, Damon could see why Sergei acted like he did. The slytherin prefect was aggressive toward everyone and everything that got in his way. It was odd since his dad was not like that from what he knew. It was just strange. He admired both boys and fighting for what they believed in. When Tybalt thanked him for what he did in the prefect's common room, an intense blush overcame the Hufflepuff prefect. It was no big deal for Damon. "It was really no big deal. But I wish that girl didn't step on his toes like she did. But then again... I guess it was inevidentable." Damon didn't want to think about what happened there for too long. He was still dealing with the fact his parents left him behind. His family now loved him like their own. Maybe that was what he needed to focus on. The positive things like what he had right now. He had a brother too and other family members but he would stay away unless they came to him first. That was the best way to handle it.

Tybalt noted on how he realized why the hat sorted him into Gryffindor. He was brave enough to stand up to someone as intimidating as his adopted cousin. Damon chuckled when Tybalt finished that. He knew why he was sorted into Hufflepuff. He was kind and hard working. "Yeah I can see why you are a Gryffindor too. Standing up for what you believe in is an amazing trait. As long as there is no playing hero." Damon doubted that Tybalt was like thay but one would never know. The boy stated that he owed Damon. He didn't think that Tybalt would owe him anything. Damon didn't think like that. He likely never would. He was a good guy. That's why he was so different from his family. His adopted family that is. He didn't think of much else. "It was nothing, really. I just didn't want anyone to get hurt or Sergei in anymore trouble." Damon was being humble about it. He knew that Sergei would kill him if he was in anyone's side. Especially Tybalt's. He was a neutral party and would likely stay that way. His eyes averted from the other prefect and looked beyond the cliffs. It was a pretty day to be out here.

Tybalt had been in classes with Damon, and Sergei since first year, and yet, he was sure, that this year was the first year in which, Tybalt had ever really spoken more than two words to the pair of them. Albeit talking with Sergei had not been something he was keen to repeat, but Damon, seemed nice. He didn't know much about him, but he seemed nice. He nodded at what he said, agreeing that it appeared to be a little stupid what had been said, but then again, it was a room full of teenagers who were in different houses and just got on each others nerves. "I kind of wish that the head girl hadn't put Sergei and Preston together, but, there's no changing the past now." he said in a tone of agreement with what he'd been saying previously. Ty was glad however, that all of it, was mostly over. He was glad of this time when he got to thank Damon, and really, if Tybalt thought that Sergei wouldn't ill him, he'd apologise to him too. But, sometimes it was better to not apologise. Or do anything that could make something worse. It had been a tricky situation, and really poorly handled by most parties, despite being the supposed leaders of the student body, it wasn't easily solvable. Tybalt was glad that Damon had run into him, it was a good opportunity to just say thank you, and finally get to moving beyond it.

"Yeah, no playing hero." he nodded, he couldn't help but think of his parents with that. How frustrated they would be at him for trying to play hero. Protecting someone sure, but it had been pretty reckless, he'd not really thought that much about the situation he was heading into. It had all happened so fast there had been next to no time to really think about it. He smiled slightly and nodded. He didn't really think that Sergei was dangerous, but there was no telling, and an angry seventeen year old was never the most predictable thing. He nodded at the other boys words, he smiled at it. Damon would've probably made a good Gryffindor. But, that wasn't something to think about. "Good on you" he said sincerely with a smile, maybe Sergei just needed more people in his corner. "Are you looking forward to this term? NEWTs preparation, seems a little daunting I think." he said with a small laugh, lying back on the ground slightly. He wanted to get the conversation away from the past. "What are you taking at NEWT level?" he asked, glancing back at the hufflepuff with a smile, Tybalt knew that he was doing a lot of NEWTs, more than necessary he was sure, but he just really found it difficult to drop subjects.

Damon wondered why he didn't make more friends with those in his year, but then again, coming from his background, it was hard for him to make friends without fear of him moving. However, there was that southern United States accent that some just didn't understand. However, that was mostly buried by now. Damon looked over at Tybalt as he said that he didn't play the hero. That was good. People like that made him want to run since he couldn't compare to a hero at all. Damon was just Damon, himself and only himself. A huge fan of comic books. And then Damon remembered that he said that he wished that the head girl didn't put Sergei and Preston together. Damon let out a sigh and agreed, "You'd think they'd remember what happened between them a bit ago. Everyone heard it. Lying is the number one way to really piss off Sergei. I wouldn't be surprised if he never had friends after that." Damon knew that Sergei needed a friend, someone that wouldn't lie to him, but he would never open up again after that. Damon looked at Tybalt and wondered if they could get along. Well, not him and Tybalt since Damon got along with everyone.

"I am looking forward to going home. I don't like exams or homework. You know, the typical student. I heard worse things about the NEWTs though. So, this year seems a little easier with dropped classes." Damon hated last year, since the OWLs were like murder themselves. He never thought he would have pulled through in some classes. Damon thought over his classes, and only recalled a few. "Well, I dropped the majority, but I am taking Potions, Defence Against the Dark Arts, History of Magic, Transfiguration and Charms. You know, the basics. Doesn't matter, cause I want to open a shop. A comic book shop. I don't need classes at all!" Damon dreamed of this since he was younger, but that must have sounded muggle of him. He didn't care though. "What are you taking?" asked the Hufflepuff with interest.
