Julia was excited for this ball, no way she was going to miss it. This was the perfect chance for showing off her dressing skills and to show off that she had the best and most fashionable friends in the whole Hogwarts. Both, New Zealand's and Scotland's. Julia, after getting ready herself, also dressed up her brother, so here she was. While she was waiting or at least trying to find where Celia and Malkin were, she was trying to also notice where Tim was and who he was with, no way she was going to dress up him for someone who absolutely doesn't know how to dress.

Trying to decide on an outfit for the Yule Ball had been a nightmare. The name suggested formality, but it was a school dance. The weather called for light summer dresses while the decorations and Christmas theme suggested jewel tones in thicker fabrics. Celia couldn't even use last year's dance as a point of reference as she'd skipped it, deciding instead to spend that time moping alone elsewhere in the castle. She'd flicked through old yearbooks, but it seemed everyone took a different approach to Yule.

In the end Celia had settled for a short white dress with Art Deco-esque detailing and dramatic earrings. As soon as she stepped in the Great Hall, she knew she'd made the right choice. The color fit with the Christmas theme while still being summer-appropriate. She scanned the room looking for her friends, smiling when she spotted one of them. "Julia!" Celia rushed forward to give the girl a quick hug before stepping back to properly see her outfit. "I love your dress. The mesh works really well," she said sincerely. She thought the color was a bit too dark for the summer theme but kept that to herself. As they waited for Malkin, she studied the room. "So this is what a New Zealand Christmas looks like?" she asked, careful not to let judgement creep into her voice. Celia knew she couldn't really fault the country for being in the wrong hemisphere, but she still thought it all looked wrong. She idly wondered if she'd ever experience a white Christmas again.

"Omg girls you look AMAZING!" It was the first thing Malkin has say since the beggining of the evening. If we took away the sighs of annoyance and judgments she had given to some of her schoolmates.
"You looked like princesses " she said while going around the outfits of her friends. " A solid 10/10 for both of you " Malkin joked before putting an arm on Julia and Celia's shoulder . " I missed our little trio it's good to be all together ... so what's the planning ? Are we judging people ? Causing mischiefs ? Eating cakes ? or maybe an good old dance ? "The girl was full of energy today and was ready to party.
