The blonde had been in a lot of places already on Hogwarts, but nothing really pleased her at the moment. The food was just too much right now, she had already been eating so much and that was the only thing she kind of looked forward too when there was a next meal. Lauren walked outside and decided to go to an area she hadn't been yet. The cliffs sounded dangerous and that was exactly what she needed. Just to take her mind off. The blonde climbed up and came there. She looked down and noticed how high she stood right now. It didn't scared her. Nothing scared her more than what she had experianced. Nothing really cared now. The blonde went sitting on a stone a bit further away from the cliffs and found some smalls stones. She decided to threw them into the water and make a game out of it. See how far she could throw them. And she became better at it everytime. The blonde had heard the cliffs were not strictly of limits as the forbidden forest was. But she didn't mind if she could not go here. She had saw others doing it too, so why not she? Lauren took another stone and threw it hard into the water.

Artemis wasn’t particularly excited to be starting classes again, even if she didn’t mind it, after all she liked to learn, but that wasn’t the point. She just wanted to do her own thing half the time, which did not include going to class. So instead of preparing like half of the school was, the Gryffindor set out to spend the day outside, not that it was very warm but hey, she didn’t really care all that much. So with a backpack full of sweet and savoury snacks (to please her sweet tooth she had to have both), Artemis headed to the grounds, where she would take a short walk until she reached a nice spot for her to sit and have some food. It was close to dinner but she shrugged at the thought. She could always eat. That would never be an issue for the girl. She was about to sit down, when she noticed a younger girl skid rocks into the water. Her eyes widened slightly, this girl definitely had a sense of danger, which attracted Artemis. She liked danger, it was fun, to say the least. Without a second thought as to whether she might possibly be bothering the blonde the fourth year approached her, picking up a stone herself. "Mind if I join you?" she said, with a small smile.

Lauren just sat there by herself throwing rocks and looking at the water and didn't expected people to join here, but it seemed like she wasn't the only person that wanted to come here and seek for danger. The girl wanted to join her. Join her in what actually? Throwing rocks, because she could not say tha she could not Lauren figured. And perhaps it wasn't bad to have some conversation but what did she had to talk about? Lauren would just wait and see what the girl was like. She would not show herself in the open like that directly. So she looked at the girl and nodded. '''Yeah if you like throwing rocks, why not.'' Lauren than said shortly and continued with what she was doing.

The only reaction Artemis had at the other girl’s tone was a raise of her eyebrows. She happened to do a lot of that, lately. But she wasn’t bothered by how the blonde responded to her because the brunette was used to it. In a house full of girls, it was necessary to be the tough one, sometimes. She didn’t have brothers, but she had plenty of sisters. So she shrugged slightly and picked up a few more stones, aiming to throw them one a bit further than the other. After a few moments, she glanced at the younger girl, noticing she didn’t seem to be in a very cheery mood. Maybe Artemis could change that. "I’m Artemis," she said, deciding to start an easy conversation by introducing herself. She continued to throw stones. "Want to play a game?"

Lauren didn't exactly knew why she threw rocks. It seemed silly, but she was silly and her life was so. What else did she had to do? She wasn't in the mood for anything fun. The place where she felt happy at was Hogwarts, she thought all would be fine if she was back, but it was different this year. Lauren didn't felt at her place and she didn't even spoken to Aonghas yet. The blonde looked to the girl as she introduced herself. It was just a name another one. She put her shoulders up and than said. '' Lauren.'' Shortly to the girl. People were trying so hard it seemed so far this year. Normally Lauren liked to make contact with others, but it had no point it seemed this year. '' What game?'' She than asked in return. What game could you possibly play with stones?

Artemis wasn’t sure what made her want to join the younger girl in the first place, but the blonde did look like she was lonely and the Gryffindor never liked to see people who, probably, felt alone. She knew what her aim would be by the end of this exchange - if she could, she was going to cheer the other girl up, somehow, in some way. "Nice to meet you Lauren," she said sincerely, liking the name. But she knew better than to make small talk with people who didn’t want it. It just wasn’t necessary all the time. She smiled thinly at the question and picked up a few more stones to have them at the ready. "How about we see who can throw the furthest," she suggested, before she swung her arm far back and threw the stone as hard as she could.

Lauren looked in the same direction of the water that was going against the cliffs. In some way it was kind of calm, it made her calm more calm. The girl seemed to be talking still and Lauren figured she would not go away. And perhaps it was good to do something to ease her mind a bit. The blonde looked at the girl for a moment shortly. She just could not bring up the energy to say something nice. Her eyes just stood constantly in one way it seemed. Tired and angry. It hurted to smile, she didn't even tried anymore. But the girl had come up with a game it seemed. And Lauren liked competition. She needed to put that anger in something, but she would fail for sure in this again. '' You win for sure. I suck at this. But we can try.'' Lauren said negative about herself and standing up to take some rocks. The girl could go first. '' You go first.'' She than said.

Artemis refrained from pointing out that she had already gone, considering she literally threw a stone in the water a moment ago. Instead she kept the small smile on her features as the blonde told her to go first. She mustn’t have seen her throw at all then. Which didn’t really matter because Artemis knew what it felt like to want privacy, to need it and therefore also being in your own mind. Because you needed to be alone. Even in the presence of others. She didn’t say anything about this though since she figured the younger girl hardly even wanted to chat. All her replies were abrupt. "Hey, don’t say you suck at this until you’ve tried," she said as gently as she could. She didn’t like the way some people seemed to have a very low self-esteem. It was not good for mental health. The fourth year nodded and picked up a few more stones. Then, she threw one as far and as hard as she could, watching as it landed somewhere near the cliff. She shrugged. She’d have better luck next time. "Now it’s your turn," she encouraged.

Lauren looked at the girl that tried to cheer her up or something or in that way. She didn't thought positive about herself so what Artemis said didn't helped that well. But it was ment well she figured and gave a small smile. Not that she felt like smiling at all. Her face just stood in one way and it hurted to much to smile. She was still tired but just could not sleep. She constantly had nightmares. And when she found sleep there were always people that woke her up. She had to find a spot somewhere. Because in the bedroom she could not sleep safely. Too afraid people saw the bruises on her leg. She saw the girl throwing a stone and looked at where it was landing. She was not that good either. The blonde picked up a stone and went standing, perhaps that helped. She tried to find her balance and suddenly felt some anger inside her. And threw the stone hard and it landed somewhere in the water. But much further than Artemis had. Lauren sighed for a moment and went sitting without saying a word.
